I saw how Azu easily defeated the salt and pepper dragon and realized that I was using [Tsunami] wrongly. I used it so that I could use free spells whenever often having to waste free charges on skills like [Frost cloak] or the like because the situation needs it. When used in a combo attack like Azu demonstrated it is almost impossible to waste charges. Also, the freedom with which she used that water magic was inspiring. I had a good 300 pink spears chasing me but I had no idea how to get rid of them. The last time we blasted the whole pink broccoli. Azu tried to one-shot the root with the [Vaporize] I taught her but it didn't work. Maybe because the root is way bigger than the part that we can see. [Vaporize] only works on things you have a good grasp on of how big they are, if you fail to transfer enough heat into something because it is way bigger than you expect it to be it will just get spread out and heat it up only a bit.

I say that but… I drop a [Foxfire: winter’s end] on the root. I used up the mana I gathered from using frost attacks here and there but it didn't make a dent in the root. Is it fire-resistant? I landed on the root and made all the spears crash into it. It got rid of the spears but not a scratch. We might need Raishin to go ham on this thing. I’m not sure if letting Azu loose on this is going to be safe… I saw Raishin blasting some big shades in the distance. The echoes were picking up in frequency but oddly enough Boshi town turning into a jungle didn't get echoed. Is it because nature energy isn't magic? It behaves like magic but it is not. I decided to fire a nature energy blast at a random spot. A tree sprouted and grew where the blast hit, I shot another blast this time vines popped out. So inconsistent! I fired off several identical blasts but the results were random. I can't use this in combat… I want consistency… I dodged some newly formed spears. I will check those spots for echoes later.

“Ice cream time!” I dodged Azu and more spears. I lured all the spears and made them crash into the root again. I got caught by Azu. Ugh, gimme a second, I will make you some ice cream soon.

“This situation doesn't seem to improve, were things like this too the last timeline?” Hmm, yeah.

“Hehe, too late, you’re stuck with me now!” I dodged another spear and Azu. Azu pouted.

“Hmfp! How are you supposed to make ice cream for me with all these distractions? It's time for them to go!” Uhh, wait! Don’t do anything crazy! I got this! I made 3 shadow clones and sent 2 to distract the spears while the other one went to deal with shades that got close.

“Oooh, so many tails!” They are not for you to play with! They can deal with this for now. I hid us with some illusions and made some ice cream.

“Hehe, it's like a date!” Right, maybe I should let my clone deal with this.

Hmm, from what you've said our only chance is maybe Raishin’s [Solar stream] or we need to unleash Azu on it. Let's try the [Solar stream] idea first. I told you about how she defeated the dragon but seeing it puts way more emphasis on how strong she is. We also don't know if she is running on a timer or if she is running with a certain amount of resources, we should use her as a trump card.

What is that thing made of… I think you will need to generate a lot of energy and then blast it to destroy it. When are you able to blast it again with this? Because it doesn't seem the echo of your [Solar stream] does damage. Oof, I should be able to use it the day after tomorrow. Hmm, so what do we do in the meantime? And I think we will be running out of time if that also doesn't work, we might have to rely on Azu. Azu flexed her right biceps.
