I was alone with Nilah. Nilah also was upset. This was the place where I first used [Pneuma Boreas] also known as [Nilah]. It’s safe to say this was Nilah’s birthplace.
The basin was dried up and dead. I connected to the thin air leyline currents and used [Waterfall] to get up the former waterfall. It didn’t feel the same… I was so happy when I had conquered the waterfall here. The feeling of loss felt heavier and heavier. Sadness and anger were slowly piling up. I found a settlement in ruins. The place was littered by 4-armed monkey skeletons. I bet they defended this place with their life…
I had planned to wipe them out when I met them, but they ended up being quite ok. They didn’t deserve this. It might be hypocritical, but they also wanted a home.
The 1-hour deadline I had given them seemed quite long now. I was already feeling murderous after 30 minutes. How am I to calm down in 30 minutes? I tried to restore it as much as I could. Using water leyline energy to get the water back. Using nature energy to blast the area and get greenery back. But it all instantly died. This didn’t help at all... I just felt worse.

Nilah was as upset as I was. Maybe even more. This was her first home and her birthplace. It would be the equivalent as if I returned and Hourai was destroyed and dead. Wait… this isn’t going to happen right? I always expected to find Hourai as we knew it before we left. But a big fight had broken out there. Is it going to be destroyed and ruined when we find it.
A sudden realization set in that what we were chasing after were memories of the past. Hourai might look like this when we find it. Would it have been worth all that effort then? I also never considered what if everyone from Hourai is dead. I always assumed they would be relatively fine because everyone is strong.
Not only that, but I suddenly got afraid of finding out. Finding Hourai in a similar state as this jungle would destroy me and not just me it will also destroy Raishin, Greg, Giana, Noelle and Yvonne. What would we do? Rebuild it? Without people? It’s not a home without the people.
The thought of homelessness was invasive, and I tried to push the thought aside. I will have to believe that Hourai is fine. It will be convenient, but it will put my mind at ease. I just lost a home, I didn’t want to entertain the thought that my original home might be permanently gone too.
Not only have they destroyed this place, our home, and your birthplace, they have also destroyed our fond memories of this place. As long as you don’t hurt Raishin and Greg, you can do what you want Nilah.
