Agnis caught this weird spirit in his attack and left us behind on the bridge with his pet Ignis. Hey, are you guys, ok? Those curses seemed quite strong. We will be fine; these curses aren't lethal. But didn't he call them seven deadly sins? Doesn't deadly mean like lethal?
He has a point. It will be fine I managed to drop the severity. I think I can dispel it.
Hmm ok then. Shall we continue on this bridge? I’m sure Agnis can easily catch up. But what if more spirits arrive?
Well, since Agnis made this little guy, I'm sure he can damage spirits. I pointed at Ignis who seemed well over 140 cm long now. I’m sure this snake is getting bigger and bigger. Hmm, ok then let's go. We walked for a good 5 minutes before we encountered some rock golems.
Agnis sure is taking his time with that spirit… He was quite upset because his shoes turned into ash, I'm sure he is stretching it long enough till he cools down.
As long as he doesn't get knocked out and causes these frost cloaks to drop off.
Right let's deal with these golems! As I turned my attention to them, all I saw was a puddle of lava.
Well, Ignis and I already dealt with them… Haha, Ted, you got outdone by a snake! Hush! You don't seem to be particularly useful here either!
I’m moral support. Go Ignis kick Ted's ass! Ignis and Gregory dispatched more golems before I could do anything.
Magma is so useful against these golems. Hey is it me or is Ignis growing?
Yeah, I thought so too, I guess I'm not the only one. Hey, Ignis are you going through puberty? You are almost as tall as us now! Ignis jumped into the magma pool
You scared him off! Agnis is going to kick your ass when he hears that you bullied his pet. I didn't bully him! The bridge transitioned into a rock path. But it was blocked by a huge pile of rocks.
Ok guys we need to be really quiet and try to go around this. Why? We can just blast our way through the rock! Take this [Lightning beam]!
You idiot! This isn't a rock wall it's a giant golem! How was I supposed to know?
You didn't give me time to explain why we needed to be quiet! The wall started to rumble and formed into a huge golem.
Your attack didn't put even a dent in it… Why does nothing down here work besides magma and earth magic! I want to blast these things too! It is time for... I tackled Raishin and held him down.
Oh no, you don't not again! I’m sorry Greg can you deal with this? Let me go! I saw Raishin attempting to use wind magic but I used the technique I learned from Agnis and put my hand in his magic circle and disabled it. This skill is invaluable for martial artists like me who specialize in close combat.
Let me use [Fusionado]! It will blast this golem! It will blast us too! Right, I guess it's just me then. At that moment a huge stream of magma shoots out of the magma pool and hits the golem. The golem tries to block it with its arm but Gregory takes the opportunity to use [Magma wave] and flank the golem. It seems Ignis came back and he is bigger than ever. What is going on with this snake? The golem seemed to focus on Ignis and was throwing boulders at him but Ignis dodged and countered with lava bombs. Gregory moved behind the golem and continued using [Magma wave] and clogged the golem's joints with magma.
Ignis can you somehow pull this golem into the magma pool? At first, it didn't seem like Ignis understood what Gregory said but then I noticed it was also starting to hit the part of the rock wall the golem was standing on. I canceled another of Raishin’s attempts to cast [Tornado]. Gregory seemed to catch on to what Ignis was doing and sent [Lava bombs] at the golem's feet. The rock path crumbled and the golem slid into the pool of magma. The golem slammed Ignis and Ignis went splat into various magma blobs.
Oh no, Ignis! Don’t worry about him, he will reform in a bit! The golem now shifted its attention to Gregory who was firing off multiple lava bombs at the golem. The golem tried to walk over to Gregory but it seemed to have a hard time moving through the magma. Another attempt at using [Tornado], I interrupted it and knocked Raishin out. I saw Ignis reforming.
If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.
Hey, are magma snakes supposed to do this? I don't know! Gregory was blocking a laser with his shadow wall. It seems the golem didn't notice that Ignis had revived. Was that the correct word? It was more like the magma gathered and he reformed himself. A bit like a slime. Ignis seemed to be preparing a large attack. I used some earth magic to repair part of the path Gregory and Ignis blasted apart and dragged Raishin back on the bridge because it seems the attack Ignis is going to fire off has a wide range. The beam stopped.
Ignis fired off something that looked like a [Magma Tsunami] As expected of Agnis’ pet, it has some stupidly strong skills! Gregory covered himself with a [Shadow cloak] and coordinated a [Liberation] with the [Magma Tsunami]. A [Shadow dome] covered Gregory and one also got cast on us as the magma tsunami approached.
The dome dropped. The golem was quite melted but not defeated yet but its core was exposed. Gregory finished it off with some lava bombs destroying its core. I am glad that I listened to Agnis and learned this skill. It has some nice offensive power.
We heard some rumbling and saw a horde of golems approaching. I put Raishin down and joined Gregory in dealing with them. Gregory made some golems himself and we were trying to hold the line. Our earth magic was quite useful but not entirely effective. Gregory and Ignis were still doing the most work with their magma magic. That didn’t mean I was useless. I used my [Bear avatar] to pick up golems, and throw them into the magma pool. They didn’t sink entirely but they did get stuck.
Maybe I should also learn some magma magic. I swatted some golems into the magma. These golems weren’t that big, they were about 1.5 m tall. We made a great team. Gregory lumped the golems together with his earth and magma magic. I picked them up or swatted them into the magma pool. And Ignis pulled them under effectively drowning them. Can golems even drown? As I was starting to have fun with this the golems ran out.
Hmm, no more golems, eh? Seems like it, this would have probably been harder with Raishin trying to throw [Fusionadoes] left and right.
Yeah, I really wonder what goes on in his head sometimes… I went back and picked up Raishin who was still passed out. We continued on the rock path when Agnis arrived.
Yoo, you guys didn't get far. We got attacked by a big golem.
What's up with Raishin? He almost blew us up.
I’m not surprised. What is up with your pet by the way?
My pet? Ignis.
What about him? Look at him! He’s huge! I pointed at Ignis who was as big as the magma snake he made yesterday.
Are you sure? He looks the same to me. You can’t be serious! He used to coil around your neck!
He can still do that. Oh! I want to see that!
Ignis come! Ignis got out of the magma pool and coiled around Agnis.
Hey, watch out! You're splashing magma everywhere! Ignis was coiled around Agnis, but I couldn't see Agnis anymore. The coil was moving forward slowly.
So, do you notice now? I guess he is a little bit bigger than I remember. You are an idiot; you can't even walk like that.
Ignis it's fine, I don't think we can fool them any longer. Who are you trying to fool... It was obvious that he was getting bigger.
It seems that he gets bigger when I gain mana or use mana. So, what he is just going to grow forever?
Probably. At least dealing with the root will be easy then, he will probably be enormous by the time we get there. More golems appeared but these were magma golems. I had my hands full carrying Raishin. Agnis seemed to take a passive approach and let Gregory and Ignis handle all the hard work. And then we saw it. A huge pit in the magma. We could see something pink shine all the way at the bottom.
So how do we get down there? Easy! Gregory caught Agnis with a [shadow tendril] mid-jump.
\We are not jumping! Uhh ok, did you learn to fly in the time I was dealing with that spirit?
No. Any other suggestions? I can’t teleport down there because while I can see the root from here I can’t “see” what is going on there with my Elgards eyes. We might as well jump, at least we can react to whatever is down there.
Might I remind you that we can't just jump into a magma pit as you can. Why not? My frost cloak is protecting you. I think he means, is that we have enough common sense left to not just jump into a magma pit.
Guys, really? Look around us! How is common sense going to help us here? Hmm, he got me there, common sense would never get us here normally.
Point taken so how about we find something a bit… less crazy than jumping in? Oh! How about Ignis brings us down there? That… That is actually a good idea, who are you? What did you do with Agnis?
Hey! Do I need to give you a headache too? Let's go ride Ignis! I didn't know you were interested in riding snakes. Agnis smacked me.
Let's go! Ignis bring us down there! We all rode the snake into a dark hot pit. Agnis smacked me again.
What? I bet you were thinking of some dumb pun. Ugh, what is going on? When did I fall asleep?
Ted is thinking of stupid puns again. Raishin smacked me. Hey!
