I sat down and ate. Nothing interesting happened after the defeat of Bald Combo. The spirits were just fixing the place up and living their life. The sisters instantly became a hit here because of their bakery.

I tugged on the [Dimensional anchor] and arrived at the park in Gittrian. I headed over to the AA and talked to a clerk.

A voice startled me. “The vice president is here and Gittrian, and he would like to hear what you have to say.” .

The clerk led me to an elevator and stopped on the 4th floor. I got led to a room and stepped inside. The vice president was sitting on a couch sipping some tea, a chick was sitting next to him.

The guards reacted but he stopped them.

“And you still don’t care about others' status and treat them like a normal person. I can’t imagine how many times this gets you in trouble but Jerome and I appreciate it, it’s refreshing, take a seat”

To be blunt, I don’t trust her but I trust your judgment.

Tania got upset and wanted to throw a pillow but her Daddy stopped her.

She became extremely annoyed but controlled herself.

“Ugh, I’m too old for this shit, anyways start your report.” I told a detailed story about the events in this mission without leaving anything out. I highlighted the part of having heard information that the stalker village, which apparently was called ‘Kuhyonr’ had issued a rather aggressive request to get their territory recognized as a country or a province at worst. It didn’t help that the Aquini Kingdom was at war, and they couldn’t use pressure from both sides. So, this might actually help the Aquini kingdom out a lot.

The state of spirits, something I never told him before, and about the death of Giana. The vice president frowned and leaned back, trying to take everything in.

“I really am too old for this shit… So, both you and Giana are from the nine-tailed spirit fox race, which I know are endangered, but I didn’t know about their role in the world. That’s a joke but it's generally not a good idea in my experience…

I continued chatting to the vice president. “Oh, have you heard? It came quite sudden but in the concert 2 days ago the idol group Tails of Symphony announced their retirement. They will hold a tour and after that retire and become adventurers. Do you know anything about that?”

These assessments are a pain in the ass and I’m quite busy, I will take them sometime... Probably.

I heard the vice president sigh deeply before I teleported away. I saw clips of the recent concert on the big screens spread through the city and news talking about their tour and retirement announcement.

What a pain in the ass. I’m sure I won’t be able to talk this out of them. I bought some supplies from a store that was associated with Yttroz Industries when I felt a refreshing spring breeze and a woman with blue silver hair and rabbit ears appeared.

I dropped into stealth, escaped into an alley and went down into the sewers. The 2 best ways to ditch Yvonne would be to go to places where the air is ‘bad’ aka the sewers or moving to a plain where her agility becomes 0 because there are no obstacles for her to hop around on.

What would they want from me, though? They already said their thanks. I’m sure it will reawaken my headache. It was suboptimal, but I relaxed in the sewers. I had to cut down some green sewer rats, but sadly none of this was unfamiliar to me.

A gaze fell on me, it was stronger than ever. Giana must be getting the hang of her new capabilities and what a 9t can do. I hid behind illusions, and her gaze lost me.

I peeked out a manhole 12 blocks further up to check if Yvonne wasn't waiting to ambush me. I made clones lift other manholes as a diversion. I was aware that Yvonne was sensitive to airflow, due to what I heard from the idols many yapping sessions during the escort quest.

This strategy should throw her off. No ambush, great! I got out, teleported to the border, hopped into the Aurelia river and relaxed while the current took me southwest.

I looked at the other message the idols had left behind. This one was from Noelle. It said, ”To my little brother, stay safe until our tour is finished! And don’t forget that you owe Giana a date!’

It was also attached to a photo. This one did seem to be a photoshoot image and she was holding alarge crystal.

I forgot to ask Noelle something. All this time she was seeped in divine energy. Is she a goddess or something? I guess I will ask her the next time I see her.

Greg would send me a Teleroad when they were done with what they set out to do. I did sleep a lot, so I might have missed it.

The Teleroad ended. I guess I have to kill more time, it also explained why Yvonne didn’t seem upset with me or anything, Giana and Noelle have probably also told her what happened.

I thought about this escort mission that I actually failed. So much has happened… I did apologize to Giana, but a mere apology doesn’t cut it as I am responsible for her ‘death’. I suppose I should go on this date Noelle keeps mentioning. I hope Giana will forgive me then.

I drifted on the waves of the river which was quite relaxing. Am I ready to relinquish my freedom to Giana? Is it even accurate to word it like this? I’m sure she will treat me well. I’m just afraid that I might not treat her well as she disagrees with my recklessness. Then again, I don’t know what exactly she wants.

Is this why Noelle kept asking me if I knew what Giana wants? What does Giana want from me? And how do I really feel about her?

A small tremor shook the area. It was strange because the river water didn’t seem to be affected. I got nauseous and opened the dimensional filter. A tear had opened in the sky and became larger and larger.

Holy shit, that’s not good!

I got on the dimensional fabric and started to fix it, but the tear kept getting bigger and bigger. I realized that I know how to fix this, kinda, but not how to stop these tears from becoming bigger. I blasted it with foxfire, I even tried the white opaque flames to attract maggots. But nothing worked. It got bigger and bigger despite my efforts.

I was staring in the void. It looked like something big was approaching.

What in Hourai’s name is that?

I shot foxfires at it, but it wasn’t slowing down. Is it a monster? What is this? It got closer, and I recognized what it was, and it sent chills through my spine. It looked like the dimensional map but smaller.

What does this mean… is another dimension crashing into ours? This can’t be good. I went 9t mode and tried to reverse time on it, but it wasn’t receptive. Does this go beyond time? Nothing spatial related worked either. I used [Elgard Overload] and tried to push it back. It worked! My headache was immense, and it was eating through the near infinite layers like crazy.

I would say there is good and bad news in this situation. The good news: it can be stopped. The bad news: it would continue after [Elgard Overload] drops.

Why is my race’s role so stupidly difficult?

My window of infinite power came back, and I tried to make the dimension disappear but of course, not enough proficiency so just more headaches. I did manage to nudge it to the side. If a collision was inevitable, then I could at least attempt to lessen the impact.

I wish my cousins had noticed this, but it seems it was just me. Kicking out all the impossibilities out of reality was exhausting, and I was unsure if I would be able to get rid of all of them when the next overpowered window arrives. I never asked myself what would happen if I still had some impossibilities left after [Elgard Overload] ended, and I didn’t want to find out. I spent half of my next window eliminating all the impossibilities and also wiping out future impossibilities and nudging the incoming dimension more to the side.

I almost passed out after my [Elgard Overload] dropped. I made it, no impossibilities left.

Despite my efforts, the dimension was still on a collision course with ours. And then! It suddenly slowed down by a lot. I couldn’t see who, but someone was helping. It just wasn't enough. I couldn’t access my 9t mode, so I tried helping in my normal form, but I didn’t know if I was of any help.

It was more intimidating to see it approach slowly and menacingly. My tails were going through multiple simulations to find out what would happen if they collided. None of the simulations came up with an answer.

Night fell. The tear was opening faster than I could fix it, so I was just sitting on the dimensional fabric looking at possible impending doom.

This is the end, isn’t it? I don’t know what will happen but having a dimension crash into another can’t be good, right?

I was still mentally exhausted, but I tried another 9t mode and [Elgard overload] combo. The other dimension nearly stopped for the 8 minutes that I tried to push it back, but it slowly approached us after those 8 minutes.

Is stalling for 8 minutes all I can do? I fell off the dimensional fabric into the river because I couldn’t focus due to the headache. The dimensional filter had already closed.

I felt more tremors. These weren’t earth tremors; these were spatial tremors. It felt very uncomfortable. The wildlife didn’t seem to notice. Do only races sensitive to spatial magic feel this?

Dawn broke, and the tremors had gotten worse. It was almost identical to how the ground shakes when something massive is approaching. How do I guard against this?

I put my tails on duty to create a [Dimensional Cloak]. Would it be useful? Someday, yes, would it protect me from a dimension crashing in to us? Absolutely not. It could be the difference between surviving and getting one shot 7 times.

I finished in the evening and applied the [Dimensional Cloak] to myself. The tremors were extreme. I couldn’t move, or I would get thrown around. Any spatial teleport would be extremely foolish to execute, and then it happened. As if something crashed into the planet. Everything got subjected to this violent shockwave. I had prepared myself and my tails were holding on to a chain of a [Dimensional Anchor]. The planet, no the dimension, shook violently for 23 minutes.

It caused earthquakes, the river went wild, and freak winds started to blow everywhere. Everything got rattled and trees, houses and other random objects all flew westward. The sound of glass shattering and crumbling could be heard constantly, similar to how it sounds when my illusion layers break.

I didn’t undergo this myself, but everything seemed to get weighed down. Did gravity increase? Did the laws of physics break or… did the planet become bigger. Both are impossible. What else could it be?

The increased gravity seemed to stay. I opened as many filters as I could, any that might be of any help when I saw something concerning. The dimensional map had become bigger. Did that dimension merge with ours?

I tried to inspect my surroundings. I then noticed some species that I had never seen before, settlements that had never been here before, I scanned more and more, a new river not too far from here, 2 mountains? On the plains of Hjuva? What is going on!?

I then realized that my problems had multiplied by an unknown factor.

Please let this be a nightmare…
