Day 2: The usual, I wake up due to an energy wave. I rubbed my eyes. I opened the window and blasted a shade that was camping in front of my window. Yet another chaotic day. I sent a Teleroad message to Gregory because there was something I wanted to know. I explained to him what Azu told me.

-Hmm, she is right, you might not remember but things like that have been like that in Hourai. It doesn't help that in races like ours, males are thin in numbers. That is why the 2 tailed dogs are doing so well compared to the others, they are a race that mentally matures early and seems to be mainly male. Many of their members got claimed early on. - Still didn't vent enough? - - Kinda, also makes the last few days less stressful if we just blast the guardian now, because these shades seem to increase in numbers over time. If we deal with the guardian first, we won't have to worry too much near the end. -

- Yeah, we got a bit lucky that that village was guarding the root, was that maybe the easiest one? If so, we wasted a golden opportunity, we could have Azu take care of whatever guardian we encountered. - - I'm not surprised, our luck is terrible. -

- Alright, I will make some more potions let's meet up around 2 pm at our usual spot to deal with that guardian. - I sat down on my bed. It was still early in the morning, and I had a lot of time. I decided to nap. I tried to sleep but after half an hour I felt another energy wave and it felt like the ground shook. The ground kept shaking and I started to get annoyed. I am convinced if hell exists, this is it, we’re in hell at this very moment. I go toward my window and look outside. I saw a dark pink mutant shade continuously pounding on the ground. It is way bigger than the others. This asshole is going down! I jumped out of the window and navigated the rooftops to arrive at the big shade on the town square. Some people were shooting magic at it but it didn't seem to do anything to it.

“Run! It’s that kid again!” Good, this is as it should be, the bullies saw me and ran away. Do I discreetly dispatch this shade or do I just blast it? I decided that I didn't care. I wonder how tanky this thing is.

“Hey, Agnis, did that shade catch your attention?" Uraya was on her balcony again. I jumped on her balcony. Yeah, can you look after my shoes for a bit?

“Your shoes?" Yup, I only own 2 pairs of shoes and I kind of vaporized my last set.

“I don't think I follow…” I put my shoes on the balcony and jumped down. I started to let nature energy flow to my feet. Now people were still shooting magic at that shade and I wondered if I should ask them to stop. I decided to ignore it, there might be situations in the future where it will be unreasonable to ask others to stop attacking my target.

“Hey, kid! Get out of there we are preparing some collaboration magic to blast that thing into pieces!” Go ahead, I don't care.

“What!? But you will get blasted to bits!” That is fine! Continue doing your thing! I shot my daggers and wires out of my dimensional pocket. I also set up [Boss music]. The big shade noticed me and stopped pounding the ground. It started shooting pink spears at me. A familiar attack. Let’s see how fast this thing is. I started the wind up for my [Dagger torrent] I continued using [accel turns] and [Accel step] to speed up while evading the spears and magic the townspeople were shooting at it. I tugged a bit harder at the wires, and a dagger flew at the big shade, hit it on the shoulder, and shattered while creating a small electrical explosion.

Not enough power in it eh? While accelerating the charge in my body started to push the lightning to the upper edge of purple lightning. The spears started to become more numerous and they were approaching speeds that would break the sound barrier. A lot of townspeople put down barriers to protect the buildings but they could only do so much. I erected frost ramparts so that they could still shoot magic but didn't need to worry about the buildings.

To be honest I don't care what would happen to them but I do not want to accidentally get Uraya’s shop get nuked by subsonic pink spears. My feet were still doing fine, I was fast enough to dodge all these spears but the lightning wasn't strong enough to deal with this shade. I sent another dagger at it and it took some damage but not enough, time to go red. I sped up and all my wires vibrated oddly before the lightning shifted to red. This momentarily disturbed the [Boss music]. I need to work on this transition. I had to increase the flow of natural energy because from my training I know that I will start to get nauseous about a minute after I start red lightning. Suddenly I remember the skill Azu gave me which makes magic free. Shit! I should have used that before I started this! Then again, I don't know what I need to set up [Tsunami] It might be as tedious or rough as my umbrella or this.

The normal shades on the plaza all got vaporized by the red lightning. I shot more daggers at the shade and it punched holes in it. The shade roared and pink energy flowed to it causing it to regenerate. Well, what a cheater. I smiled; this means I can go as hard on it as I can. The big shade and I were now inside a cocoon of dense red lightning. I don't think anyone on the outside can see what is going on, if the shade had eyes, it probably wouldn't have any idea where I am either. It was just shooting out spears which seemed to track me but not perfectly. I started to pant. This move isn't taxing on my mana system but more on my physical stamina and my feet. I basically generate mana for free with these [accel steps] and [Accel turns]. Well for free isn't correct, I am trading physical stamina for it. I had no theoretical limit on this skill, I could go all the way up to orange lightning and beyond but in my current state.

I only have enough stamina to almost get to orange lightning. I sped up more and the lightning turned deep red. The daggers were vaporizing holes into the shade which kept regenerating. I decided to lock this deep red lightning in. What does that mean? It means I am moving to Phase 2 of my attack! I don't see why bosses can have a Phase 2 and I can't. There is one downside to my Phase 2, its activation hurts like hell. I made a third skill in the accel series which is [Accel stop], [Accel stop] is stronger than [accel turn] in a lightning generation but it kills all my speed, and hopefully not my feet also. What it does is collapse all this lightning that is swirling here in a ball into my body, which hurts like hell but it makes my body lightning. Overpowered, eh? Last time I checked you can't deal physical damage to lightning. I don't know if magical attacks work on it but there is one way to find out. I used [accel stop]. My feet were fine, but the rest of my body wasn't as the lightning collapsed into my body. I turned into red lightning in a human form.

“What is that!”

“This is the first time I've seen red lightning!”

“Is that Agnis?” Guys, I'm only going to say this once, either get sunshades or get out of here. The numerous spears shot at me but passed right through me. I blurred and created a red streak of lightning as I dashed at the shade and kicked its shin. This kick made its shin past tense. I seriously saw people getting their shades, but nobody seemed to want to move away. It seems I can get loose. I don’t have any creative names for this, if this guy has a problem with this name, then he can come and fight me for it! I don't care! I formed a small ball of frost in the middle of my lightning body. I shrank as a result of concentrating the lightning around it after a certain point all the lightning bounced off from it, tripled in power, and exploded outward. It created an enormous pillar of deep red lightning that vaporized anything on the town square. I called this [God of Thunder]. My body turned to normal and I was physically drained. You would think something like this would drain my mana but nope. Because my body was lightning before I used this, I’m immune to lightning attacks for the duration of phase 2 of [Dagger torrent] and 10 minutes after I get out of it. If the actual god of thunder would appear now, he wouldn't be able to do anything to me for 9 more minutes.

I hop onto Uraya’s balcony, still a bit wobbly because I'm exhausted and my feet hurt like hell. They weren't bleeding yet. I only felt a little bit nauseous. Nature magic is helping out a lot here. I asked her for my shoes but just like all the other townspeople they are staring at the crater I just made with their mouth open. Granny Uraya looked quite cool with shades. I located my shoes and put my feet in them. Ouch! This might be a painful day. My body seemed to recover faster than my feet. It seems Uraya would still be staring at the crater for a while. I wave my hand in front of her face but no reaction. I hopped onto the roof which was a big mistake. It felt like my feet were turning into liquid. I grabbed my feet in pain and almost rolled off the roof. I froze myself to the roof just in time. I decided to take off my shoes and make shoes out of frost. The cold could numb my feet so I could walk. I did so. It worked, kind of. I was walking weirdly. Everyone was still looking at the hole anyways. I limped back home. As I reached my bed and got ready to resume my nap, I got a Teleroad message from Ted.

- What did you do? There is a huge hole in the town square! - - But no big shade that makes a lot of noise, I can finally nap now. -

- But the town square is an important meeting place for the townspeople! - - I’m sorry but I don't care. -

- Wasn’t there another way to defeat it? - -Probably but it is gone now, so nothing we can do about it. -

- Ugh, what did the people think of your sudden lightning affinity? I’m sure the whole town saw that enormous red lightning pillar you made. -

- I’m sorry Ted, at the moment there is very little I care about besides keeping us alive and getting rid of this prison. - - I see, Greg was right it does seem that the stress is getting to you. -

- It will pass if I can get a decent nap in, wake me up when it is time to vaporize the guardian. - - Ok- I tried to sleep but had difficulties, my feet still hurt. I wonder if I can hypnotize myself to sleep. I made a frost mirror and tried to. But my eyes automatically blocked poor attempts of any deception or hypnotism. Thinking that I might not be able to fall asleep, I managed to doze off and get a nice nap.

I woke up to another energy wave and Ted shaking me. Oh, is it time already? What was that energy wave? Is the big shade back? Yeah, but Raishin nuked it. Now we have 2 big craters in Boshi town. I got up and winced. It wasn't as much as before but my feet still hurt.

Hey, I might be a bit useless fighting that guardian, I kind of rekt my feet. Ted sighed.

Well, there are still a lot of things you can do to help out without moving a lot, just don't be reckless, ok? Careful is my middle name!

I’m happy that you feel good enough to joke around but it is not! You are Mr. Reckless! We headed toward Raishin’s hut but there was no hut only a big crater.

I knew you were crazy but to think you would blow up your own home. Hey, my aim was a bit off ok! Things like that could happen to anyone! I wholeheartedly disagree with that, all you needed to do was land some glitter on it. Well, he only inconvenienced himself with it so it's fine.

Aha. well, then let's go. We headed south but since walking was painful, I just teleported them to our location.

Fine, I will do that. Don't go dying now that I'm not there. We won't! I teleported back home and made my 1 km frost pillar. I made my ice bow and sniped shades. I didn't use my tails this time.
