Nightmare 8: Agnis Hourai III

I was fighting a god. No stupid games. I know she is weak to frost magic and lightning attacks. I went 9t mode and used [Frost cloak]. She tried something but I used [X-1], invalidating her sloppy use of mana. Her skills were dark and rot element so my [X-1] wasn’t getting much energy out of it.

How about I feed it a bit.

[X-1] was floating next to me on the right and I made a [Fireball] with my left hand and dynamically changed its magic circle to make it more intense and larger in size. [X-1] was siphoning fire off it and growing larger, increasing its 'mana black hole' effect. A wave of rot and dark magic rushed at me because of it. most made it into the mana singularity while some would still make it to me.

Nilah! You’re up!

I reversed time on those waves and Nilah grew to her large size and started to assault Hablena.

“What is this fox? And why is your magic not crumpling in front of mine?!” Similar complaints as her nightmare version. It seems she is strong against magic users but frost magic was an exception to that. I made a bat of frost, and batted the remainder of the [Fireball] and [X-1] at her. The speed of the [Frost Laser] caught her off guard and froze her making the [Fireball] quite useless.

She broke out of the frost and I popped her head off by folding space. I connected to the ambient leyline energy, shifted my stance and used lightning [Dragon] while dashing around with [Accel Step].

“What are you!? And how are you aware of my weaknesses? And I hate Pagos!”

I had a bad nightmare.

“Impossible! That is of no concern though. Anything that lives will die!” she said as turned into a swarm of flies. Her malicious laugh kept going despite that.

Nilah threw foxfires around which forced her back in her tangible form.

“You! Do you know who I am? Nobody that’s not from our dimension is supposed to know who I am!?”

Don’t worry, we have met before, I kicked your ass then, and I will kick your ass now. Nilah keep the foxfires up!

I didn’t try foxfires the last time. It should be effective on gods and it was. The foxfire is weak because Nilah needs more practice but Hablena was slightly burned. Attacks that don’t work on gods heal normally and those that do, leave injuries behind.

Hablena got tangled in the wires which were continuously zapping her with purple lightning. It didn’t do a lot of damage yet. I forgot which color starts to hurt her but I would be going for [Silver Torrent] so this wasn't not a problem. The lightning shifted to red and Hablena started to show discomfort.

“Fine! How about this!” 2 enormous maggots appeared and she also turned huge. She destroyed the restaurant and I had to back up a lot. The area got plagued by flies. It didn’t help that fairies were attracted to me like… flies. Luckily for me, lightning falls under the element that I could hit fairies with. 10 million flies with one stone.

I decided to ignore huge Hablena and focused on the flies and waves of rot slowly spreading through the city. She had decayed most of our food. Never in my life had I been this pissed off before. A short moment got set aside to stuff my face with more food as I was hungry before i unleashed my true form. A mana wave erupted from me as the sky went through day and night cycles and settled on a blood moon.

The blood moon empowered me and I made shadow clones to evacuate the citizens. I had to make sure I didn’t destroy the city, however. The wires made a pleasant sound as the lightning went into silver. I continued dashing around and vaporizing fairies and flies alike before entering [Silver Torrent] mode.

I created a wave of water and [Flushed] the swarm of fairies and Hablena and her 2 huge maggots into the lake after which I turned it into silver lightning. Hablena was screaming but I wasn’t paying attention to them. I kept [Silver Flushing] her deeper into the lake away from Alledra.

Time got rewound on several attacks of hers while others had space folded on them making them disappear or redirected at herself. The moon was a lovely blood-red color and I felt amazing. No stress, no fatigue. Nothing. It’s as if this is how I’m supposed to fight!

Nilah absorbed a strong-looking attack but I didn’t care. My hand reached for the blood moon as silver lightning swirled around me. Nilah sent me pure mana and another mana burst went out as one of my tails glowed silver and ignited in intense foxfire. Silver and blue was a nice color combination. Mix in the red hue of the looming red moon and a colorful spectacle will be guaranteed.

The [Silver Torrent] mixed with the blue foxfire was shredding Hablena’s huge form to pieces. A mean glare came my way and a famliar magic circle, recognized the attack that would land all those curses, appeared so I rewound time to ensure I didn't get hit by [Hablena's Curse] again.

Cries of anger and disbelief turned into cries asking for mercy. I knew how gods operate by now. There was also no guarantee she would stay dead if I managed to push her that far. She thought she could catch me off guard and I rewarded her arrogance with an illusion; she shot me down and my body started to rot. That was the illusion I showed to her.

She got up, regenerated, and triumphed although in pain. I had started [Ocean’s Silver Wrath] behind the illusion and had it charge up from the attacks the fairies were sending at me. I broke the illusion on Hablena after it had fully charged up and send silver currents at her. Her face was priceless! The red glow from the blood moon made her screams and face filled with suprise even sweeter.

I hit her full-on on and a loud bone-chilling scream traveled through the whole area. She wasn’t regenerating but the flies were still here. 1 huge maggot had been vaporized by the silver lightning and the other one was about to share its fate. I wish I could stay in this state forever.

my eyes darted over the city, looking for a new target; the fairies that were harassing the humans in the city! I went back to the city and put my control to the test. I spared the humans while vaporizing any fairy in sight.

It was challenging but not impossible. I used [Silver Waterfall] to move around and made sure that no human got hit by silver lightning. I placed illusions on the building so that they could withstand the silver lightning so it was easier to flood abandoned areas. The city was fairy-free 10 minutes later and I allowed the sky to return back to normal. The good and intoxicating feeling disappeared when the blood moon disappeared. The swarm of flies were still here, however but less of a threat.

Meh that good feeling is gone. Hmm, something is leaking divine energy. You must be stupid if you think this will fool me!

I returned the sky to the blood moon and sent sliver lightning at a swarm of flies. The flies gathered and formed into a woman. “How about we take over this dimension together?”

This shit again? I’m not helping you in taking over anything!

“Think about it. You and me, nothing will be able to stop us.”

I was wondering if gods could get brain damage.

How about this. You kick the bucket and we can all live happily ever after, except you of course but nobody wants to deal with a woman made out of flies.

“I don’t see what’s wrong with flies. They’re cute and obedient.”

You have terrible taste. I won’t join you.

Nilah fed me more pure mana and my second tail burst out in foxfire after releasing a mana wave.

How about this? I will be generous and give you a choice. You leave this dimension or die.

“How about this? You die!” She stretched out her hand but I blasted her with silver lightning and foxfire. Another bone-chilling scream escaped and maggots gathered and reformed her.

Are you sure you shouldn’t be the god of cockroaches instead of flies?

“You can’t kill me. give up.”

I’m pretty sure I just killed you twice.

She kept attacking me but I still had a [Frost Cloak] on and was made out of lightning so none of her rot attacks worked on me. Moreover, I was still in 9t mode under the blood moon so there was nothing she could do to me. Greg had also told me that rot magic could be sen as a branch of temporal magic so rewinding rot attacks should work as long as I'm fast enough and stay in 9t mode.

The back and forth of atacks continued and I ended up killing her 47 times before she surrendered.

What am I to do with you…

“Please… no more silver lightning or blue fire…”

Is this a god? She is quite pitiful now. A strange cry caught my attention. It wasn’t a phoenix cry as that sounded different but it was similar. I then saw something that could easily be mistaken for a phoenix fly over. This one was made entirely out of water instead of fire.

So that’s why ‘Sea Phoenix Fairy’

Anavel had no chill as she rained icicles down on every fairy she laid eyes on, she also started to blast Hablena but it didn’t seem to hurt her.

“That is a very pretty fly, not to my taste though.” She was about to fire a rot element at Anavel when I blasted her with foxfire.

How about you don’t attack the ruler of this nice country.

Hablena screamed in pain. “I’m sorry!”

Anavel touched down next to me. “That is a very beautiful form.”

Uhh, thank you. I think I caught a goddess but I don’t know what to do with her. I have no idea how to kill her.

“Why do you have to kill me? I surrendered!” Hablena exclaimed, still primed with rot mana and divine energy.

For now, yes.

“How about this? You stop killing me and I let you be by my side as I take over this dimension!” I blasted her again with silver lightning and foxfire.

How about I kill you every time you say something stupid?

“I don’t say stupid…” I blasted her again and she let out another bone chilling scream.

And how about you stop that bone-chilling scream every time you die?

“Impossible! That is my pride!” I blasted her again. Another bone-chilling scream. I kept going until it stopped.

“Please… no more…”

So now go apologize to all the humans whose food you’re ruined.

“Ew, disgusting, you want me to talk to that filth…” And I killed her again. “I will reconsider.” When will this god learn? I killed her again. “What are humans actually?” I can't blame her for this question but I killed her again in case she was messing with me. “Ok! I will!”

So, she was messing with me. I got tired of this bullshit and had to return the sky to normal and get out of my [Silver Torrent] and 9t mode.

“Yes! I had been wait…” I cut her into thin ribbons with Nilah who was imbued Nilah with foxfire so this should have hurt.

She reformed by turning into flies so I torched the flies with foxfire. It took a couple of tries but she died again. “Ugh! Give me a break!”

I held the foxfire-imbued blade at her neck.

No funny business. I can do this all day.

“Fine! I will apologize!”

Anavel had started to round up the humans and started helping with rebuilding the restaurant.

Hablena gave the most insincere and condescending apology I’ve ever heard so I killed her again as punishment.

“I hate the creatures from this world! Why are you different tough?” She touched me and I jumped back. She grinned. “Gotcha!” she tried something again and I had to kill her.

She had placed various curses on me in just a single touch. They didn’t do anything to me but it meant that she was still a threat. I placed a powerful illusion on myself to automatically cast [Frost Cloak] on myself if she got close.

So troublesome! Can you die already!

“How arrogant! You’re talking to a goddess you know! Show some respect and humility!” I couldn’t let this slide so she got more foxfire slashes.Unfortunately for me, Hablena revived again.

What am I to do with you… I can’t kill you but I also can’t have you go around doing your stupid god shit.

“That is why you should obey and follow me!” I ignited Nilah and she backed off. “Ok! I will behave!”

Did I tame a god? I wasn’t sure, this one would try to kill me the moment she gets a chance. I put [Azure Chains] on her ankles which had frost magic in them so it could drain mana and divine energy from her if she caused trouble again.

Right, this is going to suck but you’re coming with me. I will need to find a way to either kill you or seal you.

“Ohh come on! There is no need for that! Just a little bit, just a little destruction!”

You are truly rotten to the core, right?

“Haha! Rot is my specialty!”

I should have known… don’t try any funny stuff or you will die, multiple times.

I made a shadow clone and had it [Shadow Meld] into Hablena’s shadow. I was unsure what kind of precautions I needed to take against a goddess. This was strange territory and I would have to improvise at every step. We headed over to Anavel who was overseeing the reconstruction.

“Oh, she is pretty! She would look way better as a decayed mass!” I froze Hablena who walked over to Anavel.

Is this how parents feel, dealing with unruly teenagers? Hey Anavel, watch out for this one.

“I want to firstly thank you for protecting the city and…” She looked at Frostcube Hablena. “Is that a goddess?”

I feel that’s an insult to the other goddesses out there but yeah…

Hablena broke out of the frost. “Oh, you’re one of those big flies. You’re way prettier than my flies.”

Just ignore her. I need to get her out of here. If you have suggestions on how to finish her off, I’d like to hear them.

Hablena made some wooden beams rot which caused parts of the reconstruction to collapse prompting me to turn her into Frostcube Hablena again.

“It seems you have your hands full. I don’t have any suggestions no. I would be grateful if you would escort her out of the city. I am very accepting under the condition that they are accepting too and not harmful to others.”

I am not going to do anything graceful like escorting her. I will drag her if I have to. This constant Rot aura of her is a problem…

I blasted Hablena with nature energy the moment she broke out.

“Ew that was disgusting! Why did you do that!” Hablena was disgusted by nature energy and started to cough so I blasted her a bit more. “Hey stop it!” It did get rid of the Rot aura around her though.

Hmm, that’s better. That reminds me. Anavel, I’m sorry for the destruction of your city and I’m off. I remembered something another goddess told me. I’m visiting the elven village.

My tail reminded me that I should drop a [Dimensional Anchor] here which I did. I covered my hand in frost, grabbed Hablena and tugged on my [Dimensional Anchor]. This would normally deal great damage or even kill whoever I brought with me. If this was able to kill her that would be very convenient.

“Ahh! What is this? It hurts!” A thrashing shredded deity screamed out.

I appeared in my house in the elven village. It was quite destroyed.

Hablena regenerated in the usual disgusting fly ridden manner. “Hey be gentle!”

She was really pissing me off. I scanned the area which looked like a battlefield. The large tree was burnt down, most elves were gone and houses were destroyed or just stright up gone. Hablena used this opportunity to send a [Dark Pulse] at me which I evaded it and countered by blasting her with nature energy.

*Cough cough* “Ok sorry! Just don’t use that vile energy again!”

I spotted a large camp not too far from the destroyed village, covered one tail in foxfire, grabbed Hablena with it, and went to visit the elves.

Bywen was the first to notice me and she ran at me with open arms.

Bywen, really?

“Welcome back!” It seemed she had this mother figure down because she successfully embarrassed me in front of everyone by giving me a hug. “I’m so glad you’re doing well. Oh, I see you brought a friend.”

I should check up on her eyes because Hablena was clearly struggling and trying to break free from my ignited tail. “Let me go!”

I need you to contact Bellia for me. I caught a Rot element goddess.

The elves were alarmed and directed hostility at Hablena.

Where is Byron?

“Byron… he is wounded…” Bywen showed me some improvised elf houses and Byron was laying on a large leaf in one of them. He was missing an arm and his body was scarred.

Oh no… does Elliana know?

Bywen shook her head. “I wanted to keep the leadership in his hands but that is not possible in this situation. I also want to thank you for creating a vessel this powerful. This would have ended up differently without…” I looked around. The area wasn’t saturated with nature energy. I guess Vinny had done his job properly.

An elf ran at us. “The goddess Bellia is on the way!”

“Hey! What's your name? Can you let me go!? This hurts!” I intensified the foxfire and ignored Hablena.

Bywen studied our interaction. “A very strange goddess indeed.”

She is from the other dimension that merged with us.

“I see, did she come alone?”

That was a good question.

Hey Smallfly did you come here alone?

“My name is Hablena not Smallfly!”

Can you just answer the fucking question?

“Make me!”

Really? You want to do this now?

The foxfires intensified and they crackled as Hablena was getting slow roasted.

“Uhh, I came here with my 9 siblings. They will kill you when they discover what you did to me!”

Surely you are the weakest of them, right?

Any stronger than Hablena would be quite a threat to me since I had a favorable matchup against her. But I didn't think she was that strong. Or was I biased because I knew what her weaknesses are and how to deal with her?

“Of course not! I’m the 4th strongest!”

Huh really? Then this might not be so bad.

“You just got lucky! I would turn you into a decaying lump of flesh if I got another chance!”

You’re not wrong, it’s a good thing that you don’t get that chance.

A form of a young girl in a strange green cape appeared. “Ugh, what is this stench? It smells like death.”

Hablena's thrashing increased as she pointed at the goddess of brats and pinched her nose. “Eww that brat smells horrible!”

Bellia reacted to Hablena’s smell and Hablena reacted to Bellia’s smell. I didn’t smell anything and neither did the elves but I guess this was an interaction between a goddess of life and nature and a goddess of rot and decay.

Bellia’s green eyes were piercing us. I can do that too!

I stared back with piercing eyes. “Ugh, stop that! Your race always does that! Now tell me what disgusting abomination have you caught?!”

You remember I told you about a rot user, right? Here she is.

I pushed Hablena toward her but she backed off. “Ugh, that smell. Give me a moment to recover.”

“Hey, silver fox who is this brat? She needs a shower!” Hablena also seemed to have the ability venomous tongue because she started to curse at Bellia, probably literally and figuratively.

The elves and I waited while Hablena and Bellia had a [Venomous Tongue] battle. It truly seemed like the battle of the brats although Hablena looked more like she was in her early 20's. She did behave liek a brat though.

I cleared my throat to draw attention.

Ahum, I called you here for a reason remember?

“Oh right! You did well in catching this deity Agnis. I suppose you couldn’t kill her.”

I blasted Hablena with foxfire. A bone-chilling scream filled the area as she died and she revived several seconds later.

This is the best I can do.

“Very disturbing yeah. I hate it but I will take care of her.” A cage brimming of nature energy closed in on Hablena.

“Hey wait! Ok, I’m sorry! Can I stay with you!? I don’t like this brat! She smells like… life!”

That’s a good thing you know… Brat... Bellia, please take her away…

Bellia took Hablena away and I finally had rest.

I am so sorry but I need to eat all your food.

I was still fighting against the backlash of using [Silver Torrent]

“That is no problem.” Bywen kept growing fruit out of her hair and have it to me. I would have also preferred some fish but I wouldn’t refuse free food. It was a bit strange but I also was happy that I gave Bywen this function.
