Yun Ling stared dully at his grandfather. He actually seemed like a respectable human being for a while there. He’d be totally amazed at him if only he didn’t know about the old man’s true colors. It was hard to associate his usually pathetic grandfather which he had gotten used to for the past decade to the one acting as a responsible leader with them now.
“What?” Yun Wei noticed the look his grandson was giving him as he asked a bit harshly.
“Nothing,” Yun Ling said.
After that, he proceeded to tell two of everything that happened to him so far while he was away from home. He told them of his encounter with Wen Baishi, the Riverspan Sect disciples, Snow Fang and his son, and of course, the Immortal Willow Tree whose branch made all of them run for their lives. That might just be a single branch but Yun Ling was sure that not even his father, and grandfather could take on that branch on their own.
The two of them might be powerful individuals at the Sacred King Realm—the highest realm one could achieve by cultivating in the World of Terra—but as Sacred Kings, they were so pathetically weak compared to an immortal that just a single branch of the Immortal Willow Tree would make them run away just like him. Even Snow Fang, a lesser beast originally at the Sacred King Realm was forced to retreat. Though from what Snow Fang told him, it wasn’t just a single branch that chased him and his son.
“That’s right, father. I managed to learn the Thunder God Flash Supreme Art from Wen Baishi. I’ll put it down on a scroll later on and give it to you. Both you and grandfather should learn it. You should impart it to the rest of the clan members you trust too. The Yun Clan’s strength will have a qualitative leap if they managed to master this supreme art,” Yun Ling said with a smile. He knew some people who would keep the supreme arts they have learned to themselves. He really couldn’t understand those people. Why won’t they impart it to the rest of their clan so that their clan would get stronger as a result? If trust was an issue, then all they had to do was to teach it to those who have fully gained their trust.
Yun Zhan was gratified having such a good son. Not only was Yun Ling a genius, but he was also incredibly generous to his allies too. In the back of his mind, he wondered what kind of good deed he had done in his past life to deserve such grace from heaven.
“Thanks, son,” he sincerely said to his son.
Yun Wei nodded his head at his grandson. He had long since heard of the Thunder God Flash Supreme Art of the Thunder God Sect. Apparently, their founder, a Thunder God, had imparted that technique to his disciples before his disappearance tens of thousands of years ago. The Thunder God Flash Supreme Art was one of the best supreme arts in the World of Terra.

“I’m just worried what the Thunder God Sect will do once they learned that we know about their supreme art,” Yun Ling said in concern.
Yun Zhan and Yun Wei merely smiled at that.
With a chuckle, Yun Wei patted Yun Ling’s shoulder and said, “Don’t worry about that, Ling’er. The Thunder God Sect might be a first-rate sect but the Jin Empire as a whole is just as strong as a first-rate sect. They will not dare do anything to us. His Majesty will not just standby if the Thunder God Sect comes knocking on our door or else, they’ll be met with contempt by the other clans. What good is he if he can’t even protect the people under him even if he has the capability to? The head of the clans would start to distrust him and as time goes on, that distrust will only grow. His Majesty doesn’t want that to happen.”
“I see…”
“Even without the empire’s backing, the Thunder God Sect will still have to tread carefully before us. Your father, uncle, and I are Sacred Kings after all. Even though we can’t beat a first-rate sect on our own, we can deal significant damage to it. Once the Thunder God Sect suffers a devastating blow from fighting us, they will be vulnerable to the attacks from the other sects. In the end, their treasures and sacred arts will be stolen by the sects who are coveting their possessions. Both sides will only lose out with nothing to gain. That’s why you don’t have to be afraid of them,” Yun Wei added.
Yun Ling took a sigh of relief when he heard that. What he was most worried about imparting the technique to his clan was the Thunder God Sect’s reaction. Now that his grandfather had cleared this matter up, he could finally rest assured.
At this moment, the door to the bath opened once again, revealing Yun Yi who’s crotch was only covered by a towel.
Yun Yi saw Yun Ling, Yun Zhan, and Yun Wei sitting together in the hot spring. He wasn’t really surprised since these three loved taking a bath early in the morning just like him.
“Young Master, Clan Master, Grandfather, good morning,” Yun Yi greeted them as he headed towards the shower to wash his body.
The three greeted back.
“I’m done here,” Yun Ling said. He had been there a lot earlier than his father and grandfather. It was time for him to get finished.
He stood up from his seat and revealed his entire self bare to the three. Yun Zhan immediately turned his gaze away from Yun Ling. It felt so wrong looking at his son naked even though he was fine looking at Yun Yi and his father, Yun Wei. It was just that, Yun Ling had such a pretty face, making it hard for him to do so.
Yun Wei didn’t look at Yun Ling’s face but instead, down below. He nodded sagely, proudness evident on his face as he said, “As expected of my grandson, you didn’t let the Yun Clan down. You are much superior to I was when I was your age.”
Yun Ling looked at him scornfully before he left the bath.
Yun Yi and Yun Zhan didn’t say anything. All of them had seen each other’s bodies many times before anyway so they knew what Yun Wei was talking about.
‘Young Master and I are about the same size though,’ Yun Yi thought as he looked at his weapon below while washing his body.
