Yun Ling looked at the god in confusion when he heard how he addressed the boy who was with him.
Teacher among teachers, the teacher of gods, and the teacher of all cultivators...
Those sure were grand titles but he didn't know what they meant aside from the teacher of gods since that was self-explanatory. As for how he was the teacher of all cultivators...
He had no idea about that. That was the part he was confused about. He was, after all, a cultivator. He didn't even know the boy before this so how did he become his teacher if he was the teacher of all cultivators?
At that moment, Yun Ling still didn't know the true meaning behind those words.
"There's no need for such formality," the boy calmly said. "Rise."
The god looked at him for a few seconds before getting up reluctantly, doing exactly what the boy told him to. It wasn't as if he had something against the boy, in fact, it was the opposite. He idolized him with all his being, that was why he was a bit reluctant to get up.
"Teacher, I heard your words earlier. You said that this world needs my strength right now. Will you tell me more about that?" he asked the boy politely.
"That's a given," the boy said and then explained the World of Terra's current circumstances to the newly awakened god.
At the side, Yun Ling and Snow Fang couldn't help but look at the god strangely.
Yun Ling had always had a high opinion of gods. They were beings who had never been seen in their world for the past ten thousand to forty thousand years after all. All of them possessed limitless strength and could easily destroy the current World of Terra on their own. They were supposed to be untouchable and powerful beings who were far away from a mortal's reach.
The newly awakened god in front of them, however, had none of that.
The god was naked and was fawning over the boy like he was meeting his life's greatest benefactor.
Yun Ling didn't know just how close to the truth he was.
Even Snow Fang who had originally gone silent because he was overwhelmed and terrified from the god's aura was no longer as scared as he had been before.

After the boy finished explaining, the god looked at Yun Ling and Snow Fang.
"These two are?" he asked the boy.
He didn't pay too much attention to the two before since he was focused on his teacher but now, he had to at least acknowledge their existence since he couldn't just keep ignoring the two forever.
Yun Ling introduced himself, "I am Yun Ling, and my companion here is Snow Fang. We were the ones who assisted in awakening you."
The god looked at Yun Ling with disdain in his eyes.
"I wasn't speaking to you, mortal," the god said, emphasizing the last word just to get his point across to Yun Ling.
In his eyes, Yun Ling and Snow Fang were mere mortals. He deemed it unfit for someone of his stature to converse to these two like they were his equals. It would've been fine if they prostrated themselves while speaking in front of him or something of that nature yet they didn't. Instead, the mortal dared to make eye contact with him.
He didn't take that well.
Yun Ling was silent as he frowned.
Normally, he wouldn't let it pass if someone talked to him like that. However, the other party outclassed him in every way. There was nothing he could do but swallow his dissatisfaction lest he offended the god and invite his doom.
"You should know your place and shut your mouth in front of your betters," the god said.
Yun Ling's eyes went cold as he clenched his fist.
The god noticed the faint hostility that Yun Ling was emitting but no longer paid him any attention. He didn't really care if Yun Ling was hostile to him. He wouldn't make a move as long as the other didn't make a move first.
That was just how insignificant Yun Ling was to him. He wasn't concerned about him at all so long as he kept his mouth shut and did not talk to him like he was his equal.
"Enough. You shouldn't antagonize him too much," the boy said before Yun Ling lost control and actually do the unthinkable to the god.
The god's arrogant attitude disappeared as he said softly, "If you say so, teacher."
The boy nodded.
"These two children here, as you've heard before are Yun Ling and Snow Fang," the boy said.
Though Yun Ling and Snow Fang were no longer children, in the eyes of people like them who had already lived for a long time, they might as well be that.
The god nodded perfunctorily since he wasn't really that interested in them.
"Snow Fang is a Snow Wolf Deity and Yun Ling here"—the boy looked at Yun Ling for a second—"is a Divine Being."
The last sentence caught the god's attention as he snapped his neck at Yun Ling with great interest.
"Oh? A Divine Being?" he said.
He began inspecting Yun Ling very carefully.
"Divine Mind? No, a stupid mortal like him who doesn't know his place is unlikely to be a Divine Mind. Then again, he is a Divine Being so that might explain things..." the god muttered to himself. "Divine Body then? Hmm, aside from looking pretty, he doesn't seem that tough."
Yun Ling felt like prey being stared at by an apex predator. However, he didn't cower but instead, stood his ground as he looked back at him fearlessly.
The god saw Yun Ling's defiant eyes.
A bloodthirsty smile came onto his face.
"You sure have a pair of good eyes," he said while licking his lips.
Yun Ling furrowed his brows as he observed the god.
"I wonder... what will you do if I pluck out those pretty Divine Eyes of yours?"
