No words could describe Yun Ling's shock at that moment. Never did it cross his mind that Buddha was aware that he was inside his body, observing everything.
"If you want to know where they are, I sent them all away back to their home. They are no longer in the World of Terra," said Buddha calmly as if what he had done was not that big of a deal at all.
"Home?"
Buddha nodded when he heard Yun Ling's voice in his head, and said, "All of them are now in the World of Fortis."
Yun Ling sucked in a cold breath.
In order for one to travel to another world, they would either have to rely on a special unique treasure or use the Gate. However, the Buddha didn't use anything but just his spiritual energy yet...
He transported more than a thousand people and even a god into another world in an instant.
If he hadn't seen it with his own eyes, he would've found it unbelievable.
In the Great Hall back in the Great Buddhist Monastery, the carvings in the wall showed the life of Buddha but it wasn't that detailed. In one of the pictures in the Great Hall, there was one, showing Buddha fighting the demons off.
However, the truth was Buddha didn't really fight them off. He just banished the thousands of demonic cultivators led by the supreme god back to their world.
Yun Ling thought that was more terrifying than just fighting them off. Anyone can fight but the people who could do what Buddha did...
In the vast universe, there was probably no one but Buddha. Only Buddha could do that.
"You're mistaken, Young One," said Buddha. "The universe is more mysterious than you think it is. The number of people even more capable than I are as numerous as the stars."
Yun Ling didn't believe that.
In the Ethereal Realm, Buddha was one of the most powerful gods as stated in the Great Buddhist Monastery's scripture and even in the history books itself. From Buddha's time to his time, there was only one Buddha. There wasn't another Buddha who had appeared after him.
Upon hearing the subconscious thoughts of the person inside him, Buddha smiled.
Before Yun Ling knew it, he found himself in a large area of land with crops growing on it.
Buddha looked at the farmers who were harvesting crops. Since he was inside Buddha's body, Yun Ling too looked at the farmers.
"What do you think of those people?"
Yun Ling frowned as he observed the farmers carefully. Since Buddha was asking him that, he surely must have deep reasons for doing so.
He continued observing them for a few minutes but gave up. He didn't find anything noteworthy about those mortals. He decided he would just answer Tathagata truthfully about what he thought of them.

"They are humans just as we are but they are weak and have a short lifespan. I don't understand why they don't cultivate. If they do, they would get stronger, have a longer lifespan... not to mention no one could easily push them around if they have power..."
"But they do cultivate."
"Hmm?"
"Aren't they cultivating crops?" asked Buddha with a smile.
Yun Ling was unamused.
"You know what I mean..."
"Earlier, I told you that the people who are more capable than me are as numerous as the stars in the sky... these people are one of them," Buddha said sincerely.
Yun Ling found it hard to believe that.
"There's no way these people are more capable than you."
"They are," Buddha confirmed. "They are even more capable than you."
Yun Ling was about to rebut him but Buddha must have a reason for saying that. That was why instead of getting angry for being called less capable than these people indirectly, he asked first, "How are they more capable than me?"
"Do you know how to farm?" Buddha asked.
"I don't."
"They know how to farm, therefore, in this regard, they are more capable than both you and I."
Before Yun Ling could say anything, the scenery in front of him change. Earlier, they were in a large area of land but now... they were in the sea.
In the sea, there were five people on a boat, pulling on their nets which were in the water.
"Do you know how to fish?" Buddha asked.
"I don't."
"They know how to fish, therefore, they are more capable than you and I when it comes to fishing."
The scenery once again changed. From a large body of water, now, Yun Ling found himself back under the Bodhi tree where Buddha was originally meditating.
"Do you now understand what I mean?"
Yun Ling let out a sigh. When Buddha said that the people more capable than him were as numerous as the number of stars, this was what he meant. It didn't mean that they were more capable than Buddha in all aspects, it was only in certain fields.
With that said, there might also be people capable of what Buddha did by sending those thousands of demonic cultivators and the supreme god back to their world.
"I now understand," Yun Ling said, no longer feeling angry for the implication that he was less capable than those people from before.
"I believe you still have a question for me, Young One," Buddha said.
"You can read my heart. Don't you already know what my question is?"
"I do, but I prefer hearing it from you."
Yun Ling smiled.
Since Buddha said that, then he should just go ahead and ask.
"Why am I here? Have I traveled to the past?" Yun Ling asked. This was what he had been curious about since the beginning. He couldn't understand how being enlightened sent him into that place.
He had experienced enlightenment before on the use of his Divine Eyes and while it was extraordinary, he hadn't experienced such phenomenon like he did in his current enlightenment.
"No, you have not," said Buddha. "The reason why you are inside me, and why you can experience what I experience is that we are inside a drawing."
The pictures carved in the wall suddenly came to Yun Ling's mind.
"Your mind has gone inside one of the pictures. I am not the real Buddha but merely one, created by the God of Painting. Even though he is called the God of Painting, his abilities aren't limited to painting alone. They go much further than that."
With a bewildered look on his face, Yun Ling asked, "You are that Buddha inside the picture?"
"I am," Buddha answered. "The God of Painting knew the real me. Using his ability, he asked the real Buddha for his permission and made a wall carving, containing some of his abilities. Buddha allowed it so he can continue teaching the people even far in the future."
Yun Ling was having a hard time believing what Buddha had said. Everything around him felt real. He could feel with all his senses just as well in the real world.
With a smile, Buddha said, "It's time for you to leave. You've already learned what you wanted to learn in this place."
After Buddha waved his hand, Yun Ling found himself back in his body again in the Great Hall.
He then looked at the pictures with a complicated look on his face.
"Buddha... the God of Painting..." Yun Ling muttered to himself.
Inside the picture, he experienced a bit of Buddha's life. There were many things he learned from his time as Buddha.
He shifted his gaze towards his palm and closed his eyes.
He had learned two, top-tier supreme arts from the extraordinary experience he had.
