On the day that Li Jing was giving birth to Yun Ling, the emperor was looking at the Yun Clan from his balcony with a deep look in his eyes. The sky in the capital had turned dark while he could see some purple light coming from the Yun Clan.
It wasn’t strange to assume that the Yun Clan might have a part in why the sky had suddenly turned dark.
“What does Your Majesty think of this phenomenon? Many of the imperial court officials are worried, thinking that the end of the world has come,” the emperor’s trusted person, the unit commander of the Jin Empire, Yu Yinyi asked.
They were actually at a meeting earlier, discussing the current affairs of the empire. However, they were interrupted by the strange phenomenon in the skies of the capital.
The emperor looked at Yu Yinyi and said, “You don’t have to think too much. Strange phenomenons in the sky could mean many things. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the end of the world has come. It might be a type of supreme art or something else. Tell them to calm down.”
“Understood,” Yu Yinyi said before bowing down.
He was about to leave to do what was ordered of him when the emperor stopped him.
“Wait.”
Yu Yinyi stopped as he looked back to the emperor, “Does Your Majesty still have any order?”
The emperor told him, “Tell the imperial treasurer to get a certain gift from my treasury. Accompany me on visiting the Yun Clan later.”
“Alright.”
…
It took the emperor one week before he could visit the Yun Clan because of his busy schedule. As the emperor of a big empire, there was no end to things to do to further better the empire. After making sure that he had taken care of the major issues plaguing the empire, he had set his other schedule aside as he visited the Yun Clan along with Yu Yinyi and a trusted servant of his.
“What is the reason for Your Majesty’s sudden visit? Forgive us for not being able to receive Your Majesty properly since we didn’t receive any information that Your Majesty was coming here,” Yun Wei said as he greeted the emperor in the courtyard of the Yun Clan.
The emperor waved his hand in dismissal.
“It’s fine. It’s not a big deal. I’m just here to congratulate you on the birth of your youngest grandson,” the emperor said with a smile.
Yun Wei narrowed his eyes.
The emperor looked at the servant that was following him and Yu Yinyi and nodded his head.
Taking that as a cue, the servant came forward as he brought a golden chest with him and respectfully handed it to Yun Wei.
“What is this?” Yun Wei asked upon receiving the chest.
Before answering his question, the emperor looked at the servant and ordered him, “You can wait for us outside. Do not allow anyone that isn’t from the Yun Clan to come inside no matter what business they have.”
The servant bowed down and said before leaving, “Understood.”

When the servant left, the emperor looked at Yun Zhan and said, “This is a gift for your grandson. A gift for the Divine Being.”
Yun Wei sucked in a cold breath.
As expected of the emperor, he knew.
“Forgive me for my rudeness, Your Majesty. Please come inside,” Yun Wei said and invited him to his office.
…
Yun Wei and the emperor were currently inside Yun Wei’s office along with Yun Zhan, Yun Cang, and Yu Yinyi. The three were standing a distance away from the emperor as they listened to their conversation.
Yu Yinyi glanced at Yun Zhan and said, “Congratulations on the birth of your second child. He is even a Divine Being. The heavens are truly looking after your clan very well.”
Even until now, Yu Yinyi was still shocked that Yun Zhan’s son was a Divine Being as he had heard from the emperor. What were the chances that a Divine Being would be born in their Jin Empire out of all the worlds in the vast universe? It even happened to be the son of the successor of the Yun Clan’s clan master position out of all the people in those worlds.
Yun Zhan had a bitter look on his face as he replied, “Looking after us? There’s no telling what his status will bring to us, and most especially to him. Having a Divine Being as a son might be something other people are jealous of but it is a calamity waiting to happen. Some people might kidnap him to fulfill their selfish desires or try to kill him. That is something I don’t want that to happen to any of my children.”
“I would imagine so,” Yu Yinyi said. Although Yun Zhan’s child had just been born, as a Divine Being, he already had a big target on his back. He was but an infant yet he could already imagine the attempts on the child’s life when people knew of his true identity.
Yun Wei looked at the emperor that was sitting right across from him and asked, “How did Your Majesty know?”
The emperor looked at the Yun Clan’s clan master with a peculiar smile on his face. He knew that the Yun Clan had killed off many of his spies inside their clan because they were trying to hide that information from him but even without those spies, he would still know about there being a Divine Being in the clan.
“I have traveled in the Ethereal Realm before and had picked up many things there. I naturally knew a lot regarding the Divine Beings than most people in this world,” the emperor started. “The phenomenon that occurred in the empire during the birth of your grandson, it could only mean one thing.”
Yun Zhan frowned, a bit disgruntled at the fact that even after all the precautionary measures they did, the emperor still knew about his son.
The emperor looked at Yun Wei, and then to Yun Zhan.
“Your child is a Divine Being. And I’m sure that I’m not the only one that knew about it. Those who had been from the upper realm that saw the phenomenon would easily be able to put two and two together,” he said, greatly surprising the Yun Clan members in the room. “I’m not surprised that you didn’t know about it. The phenomenon regarding the birth of a Divine Being isn’t really well known in our world. Most of the people in this world only knew that once in ten thousand years, a Divine Being is born whether in this world, or other worlds.”
Yun Wei, Yun Zhan, and Yun Cang exchanged glances with each other. Although they knew that the phenomenon that happened in the sky wasn’t normal, they didn’t think that was exclusive only to the birth of Divine Beings. After all, when Divine Treasures were born, there would also be some abnormal sights in the sky and the surroundings. Powerful supreme arts could also affect the environment. Even they, themselves could affect the sky with their abilities but on a lower scale.
The emperor’s gaze then turned sharp.
“In this world, it is said that once every ten thousand years, a Divine Being is born somewhere in the vast universe. But this isn’t true either. There are actually three Divine Beings born once every ten thousand years.”
“What?”
Yun Wei, Yun Zhan, Yun Cang, and even Yu Yinyi looked at the emperor in bewilderment.
The birth of a single being with the power of a god every ten thousand years was already shocking enough, now he was telling them that there were actually three Divine Beings every ten thousand years?
“These three Divine Beings possessed powers even greater than that of a god in certain aspects upon their birth. One will have a pair of Divine Eyes that can see through things that even gods’ eyes couldn’t; one will have a near invulnerable Divine Body that could put shame to the corporeal body of the toughest of gods in the entire universe upon reaching their full potential; while one will have a Divine Mind that could process and analyze things much better than any gods in existence.”
The emperor looked at each of them intently.
“Any person that had any of these divine parts in their body are known as Divine Beings. From time immemorial, these Divine Beings were one of humanity’s hope in their war against the gods. They served as a pillar that ensured the survival of humanity even when facing the almighty gods ruling the world back then.”
