He had made a mistake. He should've kept even more of a distance so he would have enough time to form spiritual orbs that he could use to slowly destroy the debris from the asteroid. However, he had made an error in judgment, and now, he was paying the price for it.
The debris hit him straight in the body, destroying his armor while simultaneously sending him crashing down to the ground, making a deep crater around with him in the center.
If there was a bright side to his situation, at least, he managed to destroy the debris... unintentionally.
The debris contained Divine Energy in them. Breaking them off wasn't easy. However, his purple armor was his technique from his Divine Eyes which also contained Divine Energy. When the debris with the Divine Energy hit his armor with Divine Energy, the two canceled out and were able to damage each other.
That was why the debris had been broken and so did his armor which had been near-impenetrable... until now.
Yun Ling's vision went hazy and slowly fell unconscious.
Before completely losing his consciousness, the last thing he saw was the debris from the asteroids falling all over the Thousand Mountain Valley, causing massive destruction everywhere.
"Young Master!" Snow Fang roared out when he saw Yun Ling getting hit by the debris.
He was really worried. He believed that if that debris had hit anyone but Yun Ling, they would've died. Even if they were a Sacred King or a Heavenly Rebirth Realm expert, they would die or if they were lucky, suffer grievous injuries. That was because the debris wasn't normal debris. It was filled with Divine Energy. However, with his young master's purple armor, his young master should be fine...
He must be.
He had to be.
In any case, he had to find him first!
Snow Fang immediately ran towards the direction where Yun Ling had crashed to with the woman following after him. He didn't pay her any mind since he was more focused on Yun Ling's well being and besides, he no longer deemed the woman a potential threat.

The God of Shadows was in a place filled with nothing but light. It was empty everywhere. No sky... nothing in the surrounding... just light.
'His Divine Phantasm,' the God of Shadows thought to himself as he looked at the light with the figure of a man standing in front of him.

The God of Light.
"Oh, what is this?" the God of Shadows asked with a raised brow when he noticed something about the God of Light. "You said that I had grown weaker but it would seem that applies to you as well. You're also nowhere near your original strength."
He couldn't see the God of Light's reaction since he was nothing but light, however, he heard him respond, "Just like you, I sealed myself in the Ethereal Realm and slept for one hundred thousand years."
The God of Shadow's brows twitched.
"So you had sealed yourself... is it because of those beings? If not for them, you will never willingly seal yourself."
The God of Light was silent for a minute.
"It is indeed because of them," the God of Light said with a grave voice. "Our age is no more for they destroyed it. It was a disaster. That time, many gods fell. We weren't even a match against them. I was afraid so I sealed myself for the past hundred thousand years. Isn't that the reason why some of the gods fled into the World of Terra and sealed themselves in? To hide from them?"
The God of Shadows narrowed his eyes.
"The destroyer of eras... so they have successfully destroyed our era, huh?"
"Effortlessly, at that," the God of Light added, nodding. "It makes sense why even Ancient Gods and some Primordial Gods are afraid of them. They are just that strong. They are few in numbers but every single one of them... every single one is worth a thousand gods. No, even more than that."
"So why are you here now? Why have you come out from your seal? Are you here for the treasure too?"
"I'm here for the treasure but not for myself... even if I managed to get it, I won't be able to keep it."
"What do you mean?"
The God of Shadow heard the God of Light sigh.
"It's the one who woke me up from my seal. He will most likely be the one to gain possession of the Heavenly Grand Treasure."
"Who is it?"
"An Ancient God."

Everyone from the eight worlds was left exhausted as they managed to destroy all of the remaining asteroids. Not completely though as the asteroids' debris fell all over the Thousand Mountain Valley, turning the once, lush mountains into a blazing inferno.
The ground shook as debris after debris fell on the ground, some being killed from the impact that the debris had made when crashing into the ground.
There was fire everywhere, lands were overturned, and the ground was shaking while quite a few cultivators were caught in the fire.
It was practically hell in the Thousand Mountain Valley.
Anguish screams could be heard everywhere from the people that were on fire. Their comrades immediately doused them with water supreme arts but some still died for help came too late. As for those who were saved, they suffered severe burns.
The war deity inspected the fire and frowned.
"So I see... the Divine Energy in the asteroids spread onto the fire, making the fire much stronger than it was to the point that it could burn even the stronger cultivators."
Up in the sky, he could faintly see the figures of some beings floating mid-air while looking down on them. A second later, more beings flew to the sky and fought them off before disappearing into god knows where.
After they disappeared, as unlikely as it was, there were small cracks that appeared in the air all over the place, however, those cracks disappeared after a few seconds before being replaced by another crack in another place once again.
Suddenly, the skies went dark.
The war deity looked up only to see a sight that he would never forget for as long as he lived.
There was a huge palm in the sky, one so huge that the entire Thousand Mountain Valley looked tiny in comparison to it!
