The three other monks were terrified when they saw Yun Ling who had unhesitatingly slapped their companions now walking towards them with that emotionless look on his face.
In their eyes, Yun Ling seemed like the apparition of a death god!
With a slow yet steady pace, Yun Ling laid his eyes on the three monks.
"Imbeciles... how dare you raise your filthy hands against my daughter?" Yun Ling coolly said. "Do you wish to die?"
'Daughter?!' the three nearly fainted after hearing that.
"T-That... we didn't do anything to her. It was just him who tried to slap your daughter," a quick-witted monk said as he put all the blame on their roguish-looking companion.
The other two rapidly nodded their heads, agreeing with him since they didn't want to get slapped silly by Yun Ling just like their companions. They had seen how powerful Yun Ling's slap was. Their companion's neck nearly snapped from his slap!
If Yun Ling were to slap them... there was a chance that their heads might come off their necks! They didn't want to risk their lives and find out.
Yun Ling narrowed their eyes at them. These five monks were the types of hypocritical monks that he was talking about with Monk Wang Yang. It was not only them. There were more monks like them in the Great Buddhist Monastery. Some might not seem like fake monks at first glance but if you were to interact with them...
SLAP!
He slapped one of the three with incredible force, sending all of his teeth flying out from his mouth along with the monk.
"Hiiii!" the other two jumped back in fear and surprise before quickly running away. Since Yun Ling was intent on being physical with them, then they have no choice but to give up on talking to him and instead just run away. They didn't entertain the notion of fighting Yun Ling since he obviously outclassed the five of them.
Yun Ling didn't let them get away from him. When the two ran, he immediately followed suit and caught one instantly.
One of the monks who ran away felt a hand on the back of his bald head. Before he could react, Yun Ling slammed his face down the ground, burying it in the process.
After burying the monk's head on the ground, Yun Ling went after the last monk and kicked him in the back, sending him flying forward until he came to a full stop when he hit the wall in the distance. A large hole was made in the wall as the monk was buried under the rubbles of that destroyed portion of the wall.
All of the monks who were in the training grounds had long since started whispering to each other as they observed the commotion. They didn't dare get in Yun Ling's way or try to pacify the situation between him and the monks. They merely watched on the sidelines, deriving pleasure from the five monks' misfortune.
Towards those monks, Yun Ling only felt contempt for them.
Like he had always thought to himself before, he was by no means a good person. In fact, the past him could be likened to them, however, unlike them, he didn't pretend to be good in front of Tathagata and act differently towards the others.
Yun Ling was at least honest in his desires.

"That guy's back... he's the same as ever."
"Shh! Shut up. What if he hears you?"
"Tsk."
"Haha... those five dared to provoke Yun Ling, that demon king. They've grown courageous ever since they broke through the Four Transformation Realm... it's nice to see them being taken down a peg or two."
"In the end, Yun Ling is still stronger than them. I wonder what realm that guy's in right now."
Yun Ling glanced at them for a second before ignoring them as he went after the fallen monks and dragged them all to one area.
"Papa!" Yun Xia ran towards him with a smile on her face.
The other children followed after her along with Snow Fang and the Lion King Cub.
"Xiaxia, did these guys hurt you?" Yun Ling asked in concern. Though he had seen what happened and that they weren't able to harm his daughter in the slightest, his overprotective fatherly instincts made him ask that question.
The little girl shook her head.
"Nope! Papa came in the right time!"
"How about you guys? Are you okay?"
Yun Ling turned his attention to the rest of the children to which they also responded similarly to Yun Xia.
Upon making sure that his daughter and his disciples were fine, Yun Ling looked at Snow Fang and the Lion King Cub who had just jumped on Snow Fang's head.
"Good job, Snow Fang," Yun Ling said. He had seen how Snow Fang had held out when he was being insulted by the monks and when his daughter was about to be harmed, Snow Fang almost attacked them if not for his intervention.
"It's nothing, Young Master."
"Waow!" the Lion King Cub voiced out after his father.
Yun Ling smiled at the adorable Lion King Cub. Then, he turned his attention to the five injured monks in front of him.
"Spare... us..."
They said weakly.
Yun Ling narrowed his eyes. He was familiar with all of them.
They were sent to the Great Buddhist Monastery almost the same time as him. The difference was that they got into the Great Buddhist Monastery just a day after he was sent there by his father. Just like him, they were troublemakers sent by their family to the monastery hoping that they would turn over a new leaf and change for the better inside the monastery.
Aside from that, he had heard from these fools after they picked a fight with him and lost that they were also sent there to learn the Great Buddhist Monastery's supreme art and bring those supreme arts back to their family.
However... only a select few could learn the Great Buddhist Monastery's supreme arts.
Tathagata was particularly strict on that.
As for where those supreme arts were, they were in the murals in the Great Hall. One could learn the Great Buddhist Monastery's supreme arts there if they gained enlightenment through the murals in the Great Hall.
The fact that these five were still here after so long meant that their characters still hadn't changed or they hadn't yet achieved their mission of learning the monastery's supreme arts.
If Yun Ling had to guess... well there was no need to guess.
It was both. He could obviously see that these guys hadn't changed at all and they also hadn't learned a single supreme art after all this time in the monastery.
"You guys... you were looking for me, right? Well, I'm here. What do you want from me?"
Seeing them avoiding his gaze made Yun Ling lose interest in them. He really wanted to kill those folks for trying to raise their hands on his daughter but because they were in the monastery, he held himself back. What was more was that they really didn't truly harm his daughter.
If they had actually managed to slap his daughter though then that was a different story...
No matter where they were, even if they were in the monastery or in Tathagata's presence... even if their Sacred King relatives were with them...
Even if they were under the protection of a god...
He wouldn't hesitate to kill them.
Yun Ling scoffed as he looked at the five monks apathetically.
"Get lost and disappear from my sight right this instant before I change my mind."
After Yun Ling finished speaking those words...
"Yun Ling, what is the meaning of this? Harming my people like this and ordering them around... do you want to make an enemy of me?"
"Boss!" the five monks suddenly regained their spirit when they saw who the speaker was.
Yun Ling rolled his eyes upon the arrival of another familiar face.
"Great! Just after I've cleaned up these trashes, another one comes in. Truly, is there no end to trashes like you in this monastery?"
The newcomer opened his mouth, but before any word came out from his mouth, his face met Yun Ling's fist as he was sent flying away from the impact.
"B-Boss!"
Just as they've regained their spirit, it was quickly broken right away by Yun Ling.
