Many of the weaker cultivators inside the six ships got killed right away while three Sacred Kings who were at the epicenter of the explosion had also been killed. As for the other Sacred Kings, some had severe burns while some only had light wounds. All of them quickly abandoned their destroyed ships and flew out as they went towards the other ships.
The supreme commander had a grave look on his face as he gave his order, "Get the survivors to the other ships! Have the medics heal them! Prioritize those with severe injuries! Hurry!"
"Right away!"
"Tell the formation master to enhance the speed of the ships! There might be other branches lying in wait! We mustn't let ourselves be hit by it!"
After passing down his command, the supreme commander bit his finger as he went deep in thought.
Even if they enhanced the ship's speed by ten times, it would still be a lot slower than those branches judging from the speed those branches displayed earlier before destroying some of their ships. And with how big their ships were, it would be quite hard evading those branches.
"Tsk!"
The supreme commander looked over his subordinates once again and said, "Pass down my words. Be prepared to abandon the ship just in case but don't break formation no matter what."
"Yes sir!"
...
The Jin Empire's emperor let out a frown. He was in the ship placed at the front, just behind the Law God Sect's ship since he was in the vanguard along with Yun Wei, Yu Yinyi, and a few other Sacred Kings from his empire. There were dozens of ships in the vanguard but thankfully, all of them were placed in one ship.
All of them watched the six ships being destroyed from their ships.
"Your Majesty... those branches are too fast. Even if the ships are fast enough, they also can't evade them since they might bump into the other ships," Yu Yinyi said to the emperor.
"Hmm. Sooner or later, we'll probably abandon the ships since we can't fight efficiently like this. We are a big target with slow mobility for the immortal."
Just as the emperor said that, the Law God Sect's supreme commander's words reached their ears.
"Be prepared to abandon the ship just in case but don't break formations no matter what!"
"Looks like His Majesty is right," Yun Wei said as he looked at the emperor.

"Hey look!"
"Shit! There are more of those things over there!"
The yells from the other people in their ship interrupted them.
There was a commotion in every ship as the people spotted five, huge branches blocking their path in the distance. Some of the Sacred Kings couldn't help but be terrified as they swallowed their saliva upon seeing that.
Those branches towered over them even though they were high up in the sky! Moreover, they were still far away from those branches. It showed just how huge and tall they were!
Each of those branches had pierced through the sea of clouds so its entire size couldn't be seen.
Those things weren't good news at all.
A few seconds later, a few more branches rose up from the ground to the sky around those five branches. There were ten of them. With the five branches from before, there were now fifteen branches waiting for them in the distance.
The Law God Sect's supreme commander clenched his fist as he gritted his teeth.
So this was what it meant to fight with an immortal. The war had just begun yet things were already looking bad for them. They were at a big disadvantage with the immortal.
"Have everyone focus all of their power inside their ship's formation and tell the formation master to gather the power of every ship to the front! Let's destroy those things!"
The supreme commander's command was passed on to all ships. Every Sacred King in each ship didn't slack off and immediately placed their spiritual energy inside their ship's formation, which was being sent towards the leading ship.
"Aim!"
A large circle with intricate design appeared right in front of the bow of the Law God Sect's ship, containing a massive amount of spiritual energy gathered from the Sacred Kings in every ship behind it.
"Fire!"
After uttering that word, a large, blinding white light, streaked across the sky towards the branches in the far distance.
The people in the ships behind the large circle were blown back by the force including the Sacred Kings. As for the weaker cultivators, they were almost thrown out of the ships but were saved by the other Sacred Kings.
BOOOM!
A deafening explosion was heard, almost breaking their eardrums in the process. Then, they heard the rumbling of the ground as it shook from the aftermath of the explosion.
Dozens of mountains were blown away while new mountains were created. Boulders were hurled up to the sky in every direction and craters were made in the ground.
Though they were far away, cracks appeared in the hulls of some of the ships while the weaker cultivators coughed out blood from the explosion's impact.
A huge, mushroom cloud that engulfed the hundreds of mountains below in the distance rose up to the sky after the streak of light hit the branches.
That power was no joke. They were made from the combined strength of the Sacred Kings in the ships after all. That was probably the strongest force ever unleashed in the World of Terra in the last one thousand years or so.
The branches in the distance waved their body, blowing the mushroom cloud away.
Everyone was finally able to take a good look at the branches' current situation.
Among the fifteen branches, six had been destroyed while the other nine had charred parts in their bodies. They didn't come out unscathed from that attack.
...
"This is crazy," Yu Shan said with a bitter smile as he wiped the blood that escaped from his mouth.
The other top placers of the Golden Dragon Election agreed with him.
At first, they were excited at the prospect of seeing the fight between the Sacred Kings and the immortal but now... he was starting to question why they were there.
Mortal Lords like them totally didn't belong to that place.
The war had just begun yet everything that happened so far was already crazy. What was more was they hadn't even seen the immortal yet.
