After the smoke cleared everything, the nine surviving branches in the distance immediately charged towards the hundreds of ships.
The supreme commander's eyes constricted.
"Everyone! Focus all of your strength in the formation once again! We'll be launching the next attack right away!" he said in a hurry.
They must destroy those nine branches before they could reach them and destroy their ships. Time was of the essence. Even a single second could make a big difference in their current situation.
"Not good! The branches are too fast! We won't be able to attack them in time!" one of the supreme commander's most trusted subordinates said.
The supreme commander looked at his other subordinate, who understood what he meant just by his look. With that said, he began speaking quickly, "Sir! They haven't finished charging up the formations with the spiritual energies from the Sacred Kings and the other cultivators!"
The supreme commander sucked in a deep breath. Upon hearing that information, he knew they wouldn't make it on time. With a determined look, he voiced out, "Abandon the ships! Make sure to stay in formation no matter what! Go down to the ground!"
His words were passed on to the other ships. Everyone quickly flew out of the ship and went below.
With their huge flying ships, they were a big target in the sky. It was much better to go and get cover on the ground, however, this was an immortal they were fighting against. That minor inconvenience for the immortal was nothing to it.
A few seconds after most of them got out, the nine branches pierced through dozens of ships in an instant, causing massive explosions in those ships and at the same time, harming the other ships around it.
A series of huge, powerful explosions were felt from the sky.
The explosions were stronger than the ships that exploded from before since the Sacred Kings were charging up the formation with their spiritual energy before abandoning and leaving the ships. Their remnant spiritual energy inside those ship's formations contributed to the strength of the explosion and making it more powerful than it should have been.
And so... out of the nine branches, seven got destroyed from the explosion while the other two branches were on the verge of destruction.
It wasn't just the branches that suffered from the explosion. There were some people who weren't able to escape from the ship on time. They got caught in the explosion and were reduced to ashes in an instant.
The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.
If there was something good about their deaths, it was that they died in a split second and didn't suffer too much.
The Law God Sect's sect master let out a sigh as he looked around.
Though those branches were part of the immortal, they hadn't seen the real body of the immortal yet and they already had a lot of casualties.
A single Sacred King alone was worth more than a dozen army. They were the ultimate assets of each country, sect, organization, kingdoms, empires, and more but currently, they have already lost some of them from the immortal.
It was a huge loss.
Since the war was far from over, the number of casualties would just keep rising up from that moment onwards until the war was over.
"Hmm?" he frowned when felt a large number of unknowns coming towards them.
He looked at the distance and was shocked.
He saw the Willow Tree Saplings like the ones guarding the entrance earlier, rushing towards them without fear. Only this time, their numbers were much larger than the ones earlier.
He estimated there were at least hundreds of thousands of them!
The other cultivators began to notice them and went into commotion.
"Holy shit!"
"There are too many of those things! With their numbers, they can probably drown us all in their spit!"
"Idiot! They are trees so they don't have spit. They do have saps though."
"Is this the time for that? Get ready and prepare for battle!"
The Law God Sect's supreme commander looked at the sect master for a moment before asking, "Sect Master... we mustn't let ourselves fight them for too long. If we do, we will be exhausted before we even meet the immortal."
"Hmm, what do you have in mind?" the sect master of the Law God Sect asked.
"We must break through them quickly and find the immortal as soon as possible while we are still close to our full strength! With the skirmishes from earlier, we have already lost our ships and some Sacred Kings in our side that's why we must avoid prolonging this fight as much as we can!"
The sect master nodded.
"Do what you must to kill the immortal. No need to inform or ask me about my opinions. I have full trust in you that you'll do well."
"I won't disappoint you, Sect Master."

Jin Empire
World of Terra
Just as Yun Ling and Snow Fang were about to leave the Jin Empire's territory and enter the Thunder God Sect's territory, Yun Ling signaled Snow Fang to slow down which the latter immediately complied.
Yun Ling looked up and saw some figures traveling in the sky with great speed. Thanks to his Divine Eyes, he could clearly see who those figures were.
They were people from different races. Moreover, they were in a group.
In their world, people from other races were usually scattered. Rarely would one see them all in a group of more than ten or so.
A few seconds later, Yun Ling found another group of people flying overhead them. They were also another race and they were all heading towards the direction where the first group had gone earlier.
Then Yun Ling encountered the next group...
Another group after that.
After seeing all of those groups, Yun Ling realized something.
Those people came from the direction of the New Dawn Country and all of them were heading towards the Thousand Mountain Valley. Those groups from earlier were actually from other worlds who came into their world for the Heavenly Grand Treasure in the Thousand Mountain Valley.
