62 : Heart Pagoda End

62 : Heart Pagoda End

Xu Yue sat down crosslegged while looking at the sky, dark clouds gathered above, with thunder sometimes being heard.

She then slowly got up and walked down the mountain, a leisurely smile appearing on her face.

As she did so, the storm above her became more and more terrifying.

A lightning bolt then struck at Xu Yue with tremendous power, the power of this attack was a dozen times more powerful than Bing Yue's tribulation.

"Is this my destiny?" asked Xu Yue as she let out a sigh.

As a second even more powerful bolt of lightning smashed down towards her, comprehension filled Xu Yue's eyes.

"Destiny," mumbled Xu Yue as an imperceivable aura appeared around her.

After the third bolt of lightning struck, a large amount of blood could be seen on Xu Yue's body, but still, she looked sky, not at the tribulation but rather at something above it.

Xu Yue saw a giant river, the past present and future seemed to all be contained inside of it.

After looking at it, Xu Yue let out a laugh before sitting down, letting the lightning strike her.

The fourth bolt of lightning sent Xu Yue halfway to death, but still, it seemed as if nothing would bother Xu Yue, even is she died, she would not care.

If somebody looked at her right now, he would feel as if Xu Yue would float away at any moment, it seemed as if she was completely detached from the mortal world, uncaring about life or death.

As she was waiting for the next bolt of lightning, it seemed as if an idea came to Xu Yue's mind.

She took out her sword before walking towards a rock, she then wrote five words on it, 'Life and Death are Meaningless'.

These words seemed to have great power, if a Buddhist monk were to read them he would be able to understand the true meaning of Samsara, for every different being, these words would have a completely different meaning.

"That should be enough, our karma is done," said Xu Yue, as she leisurely walked back to where she stood.

It seemed that Xu Yue had not talked with anyone, but a few moments later, that rock was taken away by the earth itself.

The fifth bolt of lightning then struck completely destroying Xu Yue.

Inside Xu Yue's sea of consciousness

A dark orb and a golden orb stood on opposite sides of Xu Yue's sea of consciousness.

A grey orb then appeared in the middle, and as it did so, a transformation seemed to take place inside of Xu Yue.

All three orbs seemed to crack, releasing memories, feelings and comprehensions inside Xu Yue's sea of consciousness.

The remnants of the grey orb seemed to absorb everything before slowly sinking down into the sea of consciousness.

In the real world,

As Xu Yue was sitting crosslegged, meditating, a conflicted look appeared on her face, three different lifetimes with different ideals, goals, and moralities entered her.

As time passed, a transformation seemed to take place in Xu Yue, she started seeming more and more detached, as if she did not care about the mortal world, at the same time, the auras of two different Daos appeared around her.

A few minutes later,

As Xu Yue opened her eyes, a sigh could be heard escaping from her mouth, she then got up and walked.

"Thats not my Dao Heart," mumbled Xu Yue under her breath, and as she said so, the detached aura around her seemed to morph.

Xu Yue knew that she could not detach herself, she cared about things, and she even cared about her life, as such, she would not be able to reach the level of detachment of her incarnation without sacrificing these things, something she was not willing to do.

As she walked out of the pagoda, she could see Ming Yun sitting crosslegged as she waited for her to leave.

As soon as Xu Yue approached, Ming Yun got up and looked at her.

"Senior sister," greeted Ming Yun with a smile on her face, her happiness evident.

"Let's go," said Xu Yue with a smile on her face, she then began walking back to her cave abode, as she did so, Ming Yun wordlessly handed her a spatial bag.

"Good," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the countless spiritual stones in the spatial bag.

"You have reached Soul Enlightenment right?" asked Xu Yue.

"Yes," said Ming Yun shyly.

"Good," said Xu Yue, but as she looked at the little girl that was Ming Yun, she couldn't help but want to stop being so cold to her.

"Has anything major happened in the sect while I was in seclusion?" asked Xu Yue as the two of them walked up the mountain Xu Yue's cave abode stood on.

"Nothing major has happened, some disciples have died, some new ones have been accepted and a Genius reached True Awakening at a young age," said Ming Yun as she was happy to talk with her senior sister once again.

Hearing this, Xu Yue took out a token.

"I need to talk with my master, chose a room inside of my cave abode," said Xu Yue as she gave the token to Ming Yun.

"And don't be so shy," said Xu Yue as she touched Ming Yun's face.

After saying this, Xu Yue walked to her master's cave abode.

The moment Xu Yue left, Ming Yun's face became completely red, she slowly walked to Xu Yue's cave abode before entering it.

Walking over to one side of the cave abode, Ming Yun could see five bedrooms, feeling the familiar aura coming from one of them, she had to stop herself from going into it.

She then slowly walked into the one next to it and sitting down.

As she did so, the scene of Xu Yue touching her face entered her mind once again, causing her to once again become red.

Inside of Feng Shuchun's cave abode.

Feng Shuchun, Xu Yue and Liang Xiaoling stood around a small table.

Looking at Feng Shuchun and Liang Xiaoling, a smile appeared on Xu Yue's face.

"Senior sister, did you take advantage of master while I was not her?" asked Xu Yue with a smile on her face.

"What do you mean, junior sister?" asked Liang Xiaoling with extremely thick skin.

But still, she checked if there was still some of her master's scent on her.
