191 : Fire

As Hulli Jing was sleeping peacefully with her sister and grandmother, in another location, an enourmous bird suddenly opened it's eyes.

Suddenly, the several thousand Li large parosal tree below the bird erupted into flames, as more and more flames appeared around the body of the bird, covering in it.

In merely a few moments, hundreds of thousands of Li around the parosal tree suddenly erupted into flames, as the enourmous bird let out a loud cry

It seemed as though even the Heaven's themselves shook as the power of the bird cry, as an extremely huge cloud appeared above the bird.

"I can start right now," mumbled Ye Feng as her body suddenly transformed from a Pheonix to a large ball of flames, which almost looked like the sun.

Everything, from Ye Feng's body, soul, dao, was fully compressed into the small ball of fire, and as this was happening, a drastic transformation was taking place inside of the ball of fire.

Even so, it seemed as though the Heavens did not Ye Feng to complete her nirvana, as bolts of lightning quickly formed inside of the black clouds above, before ruthlessly smashing down toward the ball of fire.

But as the lightning bolts struck the ball of fire, something extremely weird happened, something which most being would consider utterly impossible to achieve.

The small ball of fire seemed to somehow be able absorb the Heavenly Tribulation, not even having to bear it's power.

...

Fire

That's what Ye Feng felt like right now, although being a flame was extremely boring and monotonous, but even so, Ye Feng thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.

Unconsciously becoming closer and closer to being just another fire, destined to stop burning, turning into ash that would soon scatter into the wind.

Suddenly, Ye Feng, which was now a small ball of fire, slightly shook as clarity appeared in her nonexistent eyes.

'Although I shine bright and burn everything in my path, I am not a flame, I am not something that can be so easily extinguished!!' thought Ye Feng, as she the ball of fire that was her body slowly but surely began morphing into the shape of a Pheonix.

But even though her body was being reconstructed, Ye Feng did not pay much attention to it, rather focusing on her existence as a flame, causing countless insights about the Dao of Fire to flood into her mind at a rapid pace.

...

"Are things going well old man Liu?" asked Xiong Zihao as he looked at the old man in front of him.

Hearing Xiong Zihao's rude words, the old man merely let out a snort

"You dare come back after running away, you really have guts," said old man Liu as dozens of roots suddenly attacked Xiong Zihao as an extremely fast speed.

Rather surprisingly, as the roots come close to Xiong Zihao, they were suddenly cut into small pieces, causing a smile to appear on Xiong Zihao's face, causing him to open his mouth, wanting to speak.

But before Xiong Zihao could say any words, Old Man Liu suddenly disappeared, being replaced by an enourmous Willow Tree as a similarly enourmous shield appeared in front of the willow.

Merely a few moments later, a huge green barrier suddenly appeared behind the shield, once again protecting Xiong Zihao as well as Old Man Liu.

For a few moments, Xiong Zihao felt extremely confused, but then, a few moments later, a feeling of extreme terror appeared in his heart, prompting him to take out a defensive treasure from his spatial ring, but by now it was way too late for him to do anything.

Suddenly both Xiong Zihao and Old Man Liu heard a particular sound etch itself straight into their soul, ignoring the distance between them.

'What in the world is this?' thought Xiong Zihao as an extremely loud bird cry sounded directly into his soul, completely bypassing his physical body.

But before he could do anything the ground beneath Xiong Zihao started shaking, and merely a fraction of a moment later, a wave a fire that stretched over the horizon suddenly smashed into the huge shield Old Man Liu had put up.

Merely breaths later, the huge shield that Old Man Liu had created suddenly cracked.

The fire, as if sentient, took advantage of this weakness as an extremely powerful burst of flames then struck the crack, causing the shield to suddenly explode into little pieces, and the full brunt of the flames to continue on toward the green barrier.

For a few moments, the huge Willow Tree suddenly started swaying, as a large amount of tiny cracks appeared on the barrier, but unlike the shield, as soon as those cracks appeared, they were then completely healed, causing the barrier to look like it was brand new, as this happened, a branch on the huge willow tree suddenly withered.

Thankfully for the two cultivators, after a few moments, the fire began to slowly weaken, eventually completely dissipating.

The moment after the flames disappeared, the barrier around the willow tree suddenly disappeared, and merely a moment after that, the willow tree also disappeared, being replaced by weak-looking old man Liu.

"Old man, do you have any idea what that was?" asked Xiong Zihao as he suddenly appeared on next to Old Man Liu, prompting the old man to suddenly open his mouth.

Cough cough cough

Before any words could come out of the mouth of the old man, he suddenly began repeatedly coughing.

Without any hesitation, Xiong Zihao took out a pill bottle from his spatial ring before taking out a green pill and feeding it to the old man.

The moment the pill entered the mouth of Old Man Liu, he suddenly disappeared, being replaced by a half-withered willow tree.

Although it was half-withered, the tree still stood out in it's environment, as far as Xiong Zihao could stretch out his spiritual sense, he could not find anything alive, and even worse, he only found a single body, as everything else was completely turned into pure ash.
