316 : Xiao Yue Part 1

[A/N: Xiao means 'small' or 'little' in Chinese, and can be used as a prefix to small children, as well as a modifier for small objects.]

[Xu Yue(Real name of daughter) - Xiao Yue (Name most characters that are familiar with her will use) ]

[Hopefully you learned something new :) ]

Although the eyes of both Wu Jing and Xu Chao were slightly raised as they heard their granddaughter speak just a few minutes after being born, both of them were extremely experienced, and did not place much emphasis on this face.

Instead, both of them simply stared at their little granddaughter with lights flashing in their eyes.

Even though by now, they had over a few grandchildren, and an even larger number of great-grandchildren, the birth of a new one still brought them an extreme amount of pride.

As around a minute passed since Ye Qiao began holding her daughter in her arms, Wu Jing suddenly spoke up.

"Qiao'er, can you let me hold her?" asked Wu Jing, causing Ye Qiao, who was still focused on her daughter, to suddenly break out of her trance.

"Of course!" said Ye Qiao as she carefully handed Xu Yue to Wu Jing, whose eyes were completely focused on the little girl in front of her.

"Can I hold her as well?" asked Xu Chao.

"No, at least not yet," said Wu Jing, responding to the question of her husband whilst the rest of her attention was placed on her granddaughter.

The reason why Wu Jing was a bit more enthusiastic about this particular granddaughter of hers was because she could clearly see traces of both Xu Yue, and herself, in the little girl.

Although the girl was still very young, Wu Jing was almost certain that she will look almost exactly like Xu Yue in the future.

But whilst Wu Jing was inspecting her, Xiao Yue was also inspecting the outside world, as well as the people around her.

A few moments after first being able to see, Xiao Yue grew bored with simply looking around, and began inspecting the cultivation bases of the people around her with her Soul Enlightenment Realm strength.

Much to the dismay of the newborn baby, she could not actually discern anything from the cultivation bases of the people around her, in fact, Xiao Yue could not even discern who had the weakest cultivation base here, much less their true strength, causing a frankly annoyed look to appear on the face of the little girl.

Unauthorized duplication: this tale has been taken without consent. Report sightings.

The scanning of the fragile spiritual sense did not go unnoticed by the group of people around the newborn baby, even soliciting a few chuckles from some of them.

"Little girl, you still have a lot to learn before you can try to measure yourself to your seniors," said Wu Jing as she pinched Xiao Yue on the nose, finding the little girl much more similar to a baby than a newborn, even in physical form.

Although the annoyance of the girl was quite mild, upon hearing words of her grandmother, which in Xiao Yue's opinion, reeked of mocking, tears suddenly appeared in the eyes of the little girl, causing her to suddenly begin crying a moment later.

At this very moment, Wu Jing suddenly froze, as she felt an overpowering aura suddenly latch onto her, making her immobile.

A moment after that, the crying Xiao Yue was suddenly ripped out of Wu Jing's arms and quickly flew over into the embrace of Xu Yue, who was still sitting on the bed.

Contrary to Wu Jing's expectations, the moment Xiao Yue arrived in the arms of her mother, all of her tears suddenly stopped.

'Mother... grandmother is bullying me...'

Upon hearing the words that her daughter transmitted to her through a spiritual transmission, Xu Yue suddenly felt speechless.

But even so, having no other choice, Xu Yue began consoling the little girl.

...

The very next day...

As Ye Qiao, Hulli Jing, as well as Xu Yue, who had seemingly returned to her normal state, stood in a row and stared at the little girl in front of them, who looked almost three, all three of them could not help but feel a sense of loss.

In a single day, it seemed as though entire years had passed by without a trace, and had been missed by the three.

But although this was the case, none of the three had any intention of missing any single part of Xiao Yue's life, and silently watched the little girl run around the mountain top with an excited look on her face.

In Xiao Yue's hands stood a sword, which the little girl swung around and played with, as three pairs of eyes stared at her and ensured her safety.

Right now, as they had seen the extremely rapid growth spurt of the little girl, none of the three were paying much attention to Xiao Yue's growth, which had not yet stopped.

Although Xiao Yue particularly liked cultivation, and seemed rather mature at times, as she watched the little girl run around the yard that she had prepared for her, Xu Yue could not help but remember the true age of the little girl.

"I wonder how much longer these scenes will last?" mumbled Xu Yue as she imprinted every single second into her mind.

With how fast Xiao Yue was currently growing, Xu Yue knew that the length of her daughter's childhood would be extremely brief.

...

In the end, these scenes lasted for half a day, as a problem then quickly emerged.

Xiao Yue's growth.

After around a day, it seemed as though Xiao Yue's growth in age seemed to have stopped, but even so, her growth in height did not do so, as Xu Yue's Ancient God blood, which had nearly completely devoured her human blood, got to work.

Although Ye Qiao was herself part human part phoenix, in front of the tyrannical Ancient God blood, neither of these two bloodlines seemed to be able to resist.

Around three hours after Xiao Yue's growth in age stopped, the latter became 1 meter tall, still looking like a 3-year-old girl, just much bigger.

This trend continued, leading to the girl being over 2 meters tall by the time she was 2 days old causing Xu Yue to finally take action.
