169 : Immortals

169 : Immortals

Looking at Yan Yuan, who seemed rather amused, Xu Yue couldn't help but ask something.

"So he was weaker than he should have been?" asked Xu Yue as she took a good look at Yan Yuan.

"Yes, If anyone could reincarnate themselves a large number of times to increase their foundation before becoming immortal, do you think that all of the major sects wouldn't be doing this?" asked Yan Yuan.

Hearing that, Xu Yue couldn't help but ponder some things.

"Even though he was much weaker than the time he put in showed, he was still much more powerful than normal newly ascended True Immortal, but if he had managed to survive and ascend to the Upper Realm and then tried to cultivate, that would have been much more fun to see," said Yan Yuan as took a sip of tea.

"Why is that?" asked Xu Yue as she looked at the sword spirit with an inquisitive gaze on her face.

"Well, every single time he reincarnated, he had to dilute the potential of his existence, since mortals cannot live more than five million years without severe consequences, this is a law that cannot be broken and has never been broken, before becoming an immortal he probably thought he had hit some sort of limit imposed on mortals, no, his talent had been destroyed without him even realizing it," said Yan Yuan as he took another sip of tea.

As she listened to what Yan Yuan had to say, something popped into Xu Yue's mind.

"So False-Immortals are not mortals," mumbled Xu Yue as she thought about the ancient beings she had seen.

"Yes, of course, it's in their name, they are above mortals and below immortals," said Yan Yuan before letting Xu Yue ponder things in silence.

"So, why did you come out now?" asked Xu Yue as she looked at the old sword spirit in front of her.

"I am here to let you know I'm allowing you to try to wield my power," said Yan Yuan before suddenly turning into a flash of light and becoming a sword once again.

Looking at the floating sword in front of her, Xu Yue suddenly gripped it's handle before suddenly standing still, as if a flash of lightning had flashed inside of her.

"You are injured right now, don't force things," said Yan Yuan's voice as he felt a slight resonance form between Xu Yue's Boundless Sword Dao and the Infinite Sword Dao that had formed him.

Suddenly, a tiny amount of sword Qi was launched by the sword in Xu Yue's hands before being erased from existence a few moments later.

Just after that, Xu Yue spat out a mouthful of blood as a large smile appeared on her face as she put down the sword and sat down cross-legged.

After Xu Yue recovered for a few moments, Yan Yuan suddenly appeared next to Xu Yue with a smile on his face.

"Upon reaching the Dao Saint realm you should be able to wield some more of my power, but until then you should use me like a regular sword, you shouldn't try to access my full power until you aren't ready," said Yan Yuan as he looked at Xu Yue with a smile on his face.

Hearing that, a smile couldn't help but appear on Xu Yue's face.

...

Looking at the woman in front of her, Second's incarnation couldn't help but frown, suddenly a sword appeared in her hands.

"Having my incarnation be limited to the Dao Saint realm is really troublesome, but is it really that fun to try to make trouble for me?" asked Second as she looked at the tens of thousands of True Immortals that were blocking her way.

Suddenly, a second appeared in front of a handsome True Immortal before piercing his heart with her sword.

As someone improved their cultivation base, both their resistance and regeneration rate improved massively, at the True Immortal realm, even having the entirety of your body destroyed is but a trifle as your body is tied to your very existence, and can be rapidly regenerated.

But the moment Second's sword pierced the heart of the True Immortal, he who was supposed to be almost unkillable suddenly died.

Looking at the Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal that had just died in the hands of a mere Dao Saint that was five realms below him, the eyes of the leading Immortal Emperor couldn't help but widen.

"Is this what an Immeasurable Tribulation is like," mumbled the Immortal as he stared in abject horror

In the Myriad Immortal plane, True Immortals were divided into seven levels

Human Immortal

Earth Immortal

Heavenly Immortal

Golden Immortal

Zenith Heaven Golden Immortal

Immortal King

Immortal Emperor

Suddenly, over ten thousand True Immortals, each of them being at least Heavenly Immortals or higher launched their attacks toward the incarnation of the Second.

Merely a moment later, the incarnation spat out a mouthful of blood, but not from the attacks themselves.

After half a moment, all of the over ten thousand True Immortals were suddenly split in half, even the strongest Immortal Emperor, who was leading the attack was also sliced in half.

Suddenly, an enormous eye appeared above the incarnation, causing everything to stop in its tracks.

Looking at the Grand Dao, which was at a level above even that Immortal Emperor, the incarnation put its sword back in its sheath.

If the immortal Emperor was a Rank 7 true Immortal, then the Grand Dao was a Rank 8 True Immortal, this cultivation base was something all Grand Dao's across all timelines shared, of course, none of them could increase their cultivation at all.

Just as the Grand Dao was about to take action, everything suddenly stopped.

"Isn't stretching once in a while fun?" asked Third's voice as a shadowy female figure suddenly appeared behind the incarnation, causing the Grand Dao to become horrified.

Suddenly, all the memories of the Grand Dao regarding this encounter were deleted without any resistance at all.

Then, a moment later, the second's incarnation, alongside the shadowy figure suddenly disappeared.
