Looking at Xu Yue, who was simply walking on the mountain peak, staring into the distance, Hulli Jing, who had just appeared behind her too long ago, couldn't help but shake her head.
"I know you to be so easily annoyed, what happened?" asked Hulli Jing as she approached Xu Yue and placed her hand on the latter's shoulder before leaning on it.
Hearing this, Xu Yue remained silent, causing Hulli Jing to slightly narrow her eyes and snap her fingers once, causing Xu Yue's expression to suddenly change.
In but an instant, Xu Yue's indifferent expression had transformed into a fully emotional one, causing Hulli Jing to suddenly disappear.
"Catch me if you can!" said Hulli Jing, rather a clone of Hulli Jing, the latter had left behind so that she could have more time to run away from Xu Yue.
Just a fraction of a moment later, Xu Yue suddenly disappeared, as she began chasing after Hulli Jing.
If Xu Yue and Hulli Jing were had an honest chase, or both had the same amount of time to prepare, it would have been trivial for Xu Yue to catch up to Hulli Jing.
Sadly though, knowing that Xu Yue was in a bad mood, Hulli Jing had specially prepared her route, making Xu Yue, who did not like looking into the fate of her close ones, rather annoyed.
...
Looking at the so-called void prison around her, which Hulli Jing had somehow found, Xu Yue couldn't help but let out a snort, instantly shattering it into little pieces and continuing on her journey.
But even though something like a 'void prison' couldn't delay Xu Yue at all, the chase of the two was extremely fast, allowing Hulli Jing to pass through hundreds, or even thousands of such traps every single moment, allowing her to somewhat delay Xu Yue, and prevent her from catching her.
Sadly though, this was a hapless endeavor, as Xu Yue's Dao did not care about her current location in the slightest, and allowed her to instantly appear next to Hulli Jing every single time.
Thankfully though, after destroying numerous of these traps, the angry look on Xu Yue's face had disappeared, having been replaced by a mischievous look.
Of course, as one might expect, this look made the fur on Hulli Jing's tail instantly rise up straight, causing her to flee even faster than before.
Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
If before, Hulli Jing was just playing a game with Xu Yue and trying to give the latter some way to relieve herself from her boredom, right now the fox had truly begun fleeing, knowing that if Xu Yue got her hands onto her, she would be quite miserable.
Sadly, though, seeing this, the mischievous smile on Xu Yue's face only increased in size.
"Tempting fox, you are a million years too early to try running away from me," mumbled Xu Yue before suddenly appearing next to Hulli Jing and grabbing hold of the latter's tail, stopping her right in her tracks.
As she looked at Xu Yue, who now was in a good mood, in fact, in a mood that was too good for Hulli Jing's tastes, the fox slightly gulped.
...
As she looked at Hulli Jing, who was lying down next to her, Xu Yue couldn't help but let out a deep breath.
"Thanks, I really needed that," said Xu Yue, making Hulli Jing roll her eyes.
"You were in a good mood before, what made you feel so annoyed just now?" asked Hulli Jing as she looked at her Dao Companion, who suddenly became just a clone.
"Noticing the fact that Huan'er and Yanmei had argued really annoyed me," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to slightly chuckle.
"Seeing your two favorite little foxes arguing made you angry so became angry, that makes sense," said Hulli Jing, making Xu Yue herself roll her eyes.
"You know very well that I do not have any favorite daughter, I love my daughter's all the same, so don't try to put words in my mouth," said Xu Yue as she continued staring at Hulli Jing's eyes, making the latter feel somewhat embarrassed.
"Alright, I understand, I understand," said Hulli Jing, no longer dwelling on this topic.
...
"This is quite a surprise," mumbled Xu Yue's main body as it instantly disappeared from next to Hulli Jing.
Looking at Bing Yue, who was lying next to her, Xu Yue, who had just replaced her incarnation, continued their conversation.
"Just quite a surprise, I didn't expect your standards to be so high that something like this was just 'quite a surprise'," said Bing Yue as she looked at Xu Yue, causing the latter to touch her chin.
"Already so moody, perhaps I made a mistake, your pregnancy should be further along than I thought," said Xu Yue, causing a sword to suddenly appear in Bing Yue's hands.
Without any warning, that sword was suddenly swung at Xu Yue with a ruthless strike, which Xu Yue didn't defend against.
Looking at Xu Yue, who continued without paying any attention to her strike, as well as the sword, which had actually been blocked by a stray hair of Xu Yue's, which had wandered into its path, Bing Yue slightly pouted.
Of course, that pout was then replaced by a happy expression a few moments later as she felt Xu Yue's hand touch her stomach.
"Maybe I should have some more fun while those foxes argue next time, maybe I could get a few more descendants this way," mumbled Xu Yue, causing Bing Yue, who was unaware of the circumstances, to appear a bit confused.
That's right, whilst Xu Yanmei, Xu Huan, Xu Xiaoqing and Hulli Jing were arguing, Xu Yue actually sneaked out to have some fun.
And in the end, achieved something which she thought was actually impossible.
Although Xu Yue and Hulli Jing were different species, back when the three foxes were first conceived, the difference in strength between them still within reason.
But not only were Xu Yue and Bing Yue different species, Xu Yue was also infinitely stronger than the latter, making conceiving a child a near impossibility.
This is why Xu Yue felt quite surprised about managing to have a child with Bing Yue, as the chance of that happening was terrifyingly low.
