230 : Time

Watching Liang Xiaoling be enveloped by a golden light descending from the heavens, Xu Yue shook her head.

"Junior sister, I'm somewhat busy right now, I will come back after senior sister finishes her comprehension," said Xu Yue as she looked at Lin Xue, causing the latter to nod.

"That's alright, I will continue to stay here until senior sister is done comprehending the Dao," said Lin Xue, causing a small smile to appear on Xu Yue's face.

"That's good," mumbled Xu Yue before suddenly disappearing.

...

Feeling a set of arms suddenly embrace her from behind, a small smile couldn't help but appear on Bing Yue's face.

"We just separated some time ago, are you really so unsatiable?" asked Bing Yue as she turned her head backward, looking at Xu Yue's face.

Hearing that, Xu Yue let out a slight chuckle as she touched Bing Yue's smooth cheek.

"Why did you assume the worst thing possible from the get-go?" asked Xu Yue as she let go of Bing Yue, allowing the latter to breathe.

"I just know you very well," said Bing Yue as she and Xu Yue began walking in no particular direction.

Shaking her head, Xu Yue couldn't help but continue looking at Bing Yue, seemingly melancholic.

After noticing Xu Yue's gaze once again, Bing Yue couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"You shouldn't be afraid of the passing of time, after all, even though change may seem bad at first, there are always upsides to it," mumbled Bing Yue, causing Xu Yue to freeze slightly.

"That's true," mumbled Xu Yue as she shook her head, clearing her thoughts.

"Although the world around you might change, I know that in fact, you will not change in the slightest, this does bring me some happiness," said Bing Yue, causing Xu Yue to smile.

...

Staring at the empty wall in front of her, Xu Yue couldn't help but let out a soft sigh before shaking her head.

Suddenly, the door behind Xu Yue opened, revealing a certain figure.

"Disciple greets ancestor," said Xu Yue as she slightly bowed to Xu Lanfeng, who was staring at her.

"You don't have to be so courteous," said Xu Lanfeng as she walked into the room and sat cross-legged in front of Xu Yue.

Looking at the figure, which was had not been ravaged by time in the slightest, Xu Yue couldn't help but smile slightly.

"Young people really don't let themselves fall down to the ground easily," mumbled Xu Lanfeng as she watched Xu Yue suddenly regain some of the spirit she had lost.

Suddenly, Xu Yue opened her mouth, wanting to ask a question, but before she could do so, Xu Lanfeng spoke up first.

"You should not think that what you want to is easy, I recommend you wait until you ascend and familiarize yourself with the power of an immortal, that would give you the best shot at what your are planning."

"But you need to be warned, want you want to do is somewhat taboo," mumbled Xu Lanfeng, causing Xu Yue to fall into thought.

"Wouldn't it be far too late by then?" asked Xu Yue, causing Xu Lanfeng to shake her head.

"You shouldn't underestimate your goal, if you could do it in the mortal realm, how late it is done would be of no issue to you in the immortal realm," said Xu Lanfeng as she looked at Xu Yue.

Hearing Xu Lanfeng's words, Xu Yue nodded before sinking into her thoughts.

"I understand, I won't be reckless," mumbled Xu Yue, causing Xu Lanfeng to nod.

"It's fine, it's normal for young people to be like you, in fact, I would have been a little bit worried if you weren't like this," said Xu Lanfeng as she walked away, leaving Xu Yue alone.

Staring at the departing figure of her ancestors, Xu Yue couldn't help but shake her head.

...

Feeling the gaze staring at her back, Xu Lanfeng let out a slightly depressed sigh.

"The Dao of Fate also has its own worries," mumbled Xu Lanfeng as she walked through the sect, being completely invisible to anyone.

In the entirety of the Three Thousand Regions, Xu Lanfeng could of course be considered one of the four strongest cultivators in the existence.

But inside of the Origin Sword Sect, Xu Lanfeng was a completely invincible being, completely unmatched.

With the help of the sect's Immortal Formation, Xu Lanfeng was completely confident to face anyone and anything in existence.

...

Outside of the Three Thousand Regions, in a nearby world.

Qingce village was small, extremely small, only having a population of around three thousand people, and with only a single cultivator living inside of it.

Right now, unbeknownst to the world, inside of this small village, two different women stood side by side giving birth, being watched by two hooded figures.

Unlike normal births, nobody was here to assist the two mothers in the huge endeavor, as the two figures merely stared at them.

Suddenly, the two women began screaming, as their stomachs became bigger and bigger, while the rest of their bodies seemingly became deflated, causing their screams to become weaker and weaker.

A moment later, a hand suddenly pierced out of the stomach of one of the women, not only causing blood to splash everywhere, but also causing the screams of one of the women to completely stop, as a small baby crawled itself out of the now open stomach.

Not long after that, an identical process took place with the other woman, causing two bloody babies to now sit on a table, seemingly sleeping peacefully.

Without any warning in the aftermath of the fight between two passing cultivators, Qingce village was wiped off the map, leaving not a single person from it alive.

...

"Can you recover faster?" asked one of the two hodded figures as he stared at the two bloody babies floating next to them.

"If you know the answer to the question, then why ask it, the time nececary for us to recover our strength is not something so easily changed," said an ancient voice as one of the babies opened it's eyes.
