100 : Siblings

Hulli Jing smiled before her small fox body suddenly disappeared without any trance.

Inside the sword region,

Ling Yun smiled as she looked at the scene in front of her, looking at her brother.

"What did you expect to happen?" asked Ling Fan before smashing the body of the last cultivator with a powerful punch, completely turning it into meat paste.

"So poor," mumbled Ling Fan as he looked in the destitute spatial bag of the now dead cultivator.

"How did he even reach the peak of the Soul Enlightenment realm?" asked Ling Fan.

"This one was quite talented," responded the system mechanically as Ling Fan transferred the cultivator's possessions into his spatial ring.

Hearing the word 'talent' a nerve seemed to have been struck in Ling Fan, but even so, he had nowhere to vent his anger.

"Brother, where did this one come from?" asked Ling Yun as she bent down and slightly touched the meat paste, as if to examine it.

"Someone as weak as this can only have been sent by one of the local forces I offended," said Ling Fan as he slightly touched his cheek in embarrassment.

Hearing that, a small sigh escaped from Ling Yun's lips, in terms of offending people, for reason her brother was the most qualified person, no matter where he went, what he did, or how he acted, he would always offend someone, it was as if he had a curse.

As such, the two of them avoid restaurants and other such places at all costs, but for some reason, even in the wild, they would still meet some arrogant young master.

"Hopefully they are not too strong," said Ling Yun as she silently erased the bloody remains of the cultivator, so as to not leave any traces.

"We should leave, it will probably happen any moment now," said Ling Fan as he got on a flying treasure, beckoning for his sister to come along.

A few minutes after the two left,

"This is where junior brother was last seen," said a young man as he looked at the ground before him, he then began looking around, but sadly he did not manage to find anything.

Sadly for him, Ling Yun's corpse disposal had become extremely advanced after tens of thousands of uses, unless one could see the past, they would not be able to find anything.

"It's those two thrashes," said the man as decided Ling Fan and Ling Yun were the culprits without any evidence.

Gritting his teeth, the man took out a small treasure before injecting his qi into it.

As he saw the past, and the scene of his junior brother being killed, the man began flying in the direction opposite of Ling Fan and Ling Yun, chasing after the killer.

"I will get you," mumbled the man as anger clouded his judgment once again.

In another location,

"Have you done it?" asked Ling Fan as took out several spiritual stones from his storage ring and put them on the floor of the cave.

"Don't worry, I didn't let the illusion up at all when you killed him, even if someone looks at the past they wouldn't be able to see anything," said Ling Yun as she greedily put her part of the spoils into her own spatial bag.

"That's good, don't want anyone else chasing us or giving up our location," said Ling Fan as he created a formation to disrupt messages, only after that did he take out the treasures from the spatial ring.

"As expected," mumbled Ling Fan as he erased the tracking marks put on the treasures, thankfully, the formation did not allow them to work as intended.

"Why does everybody track everything," mumbled Ling Yun as took a bite from a spiritual fruit.

"As if you wouldn't do the same," mumbled Ling Fan under his breath.

"What?" asked Ling Yun as she began preparing to take out her sword.

"Nothing," said Ling Fan as he waved his hands in defeat.

"As expected," said Ling Yun as she jokingly put her sword back in it's sheath.

As time passed, a more serious atmosphere appeared in the cave.

"Unless we join the Origin Sword sect we really can't stay in the sword region ca we," mumbled Ling Yun as melancholy filled her eyes about all her memories here.

"We need to leave, and use the things we obtained as to increase our strength," said Ling Fan as his expression became slightly softer looking at his little sister.

"Let's see it," said Ling Yun as the sad look was wiped off her face.

A few moments later,

Ling Fan and Ling Yun stood in a small dimension as they looked at the huge tree before them, hundreds of unripe fruits could be seen on the tree, most with a slight red color, indicating they would become red when ripe.

Three small golden fruits could be seen at the top of the tree, the sibling's eyes radiated towards the three fruits the moment the two of them appeared here.

"If we can't sell it without being chased, what do we do with the third fruit?" asked Ling Fan as he tried to estimate the time it would take for the fruits to become ripe.

"Maybe we will need it sometime, maybe there are pills that can be refined using it," said Ling Yun as she floated near the three fruits and slightly touched them.

"Worst case scenario we can sell it when we become strong," continued Ling Yun as she reached the bottom of the tree once again and exited the dimension.

"Yes, let's do that," mumbled Ling Fan as he also exited the hidden dimension.

As time passed, a certain piece of news spread throughout the sword region.

A certain clan seemed to have lost their Spiritual Ascension Tree and were quietly searching for it.

It was unknown who spread this piece of information, but after this moment, the search for the Spiritual Tree had begun.
