166 : Second

166 : Second

As soon as the First's incarnation returned to it's timeline another incarnation was sent away, this time, not to Xu Yue's timeline, but rather to another place.

The moment the First's incarnation arrived in this timeline, it was suddenly teleported to a mountain of swords.

"You usually aren't this pretentious," mumbled the incarnation as it walked up the mountain before reaching a small straw hut, at the same time, time was suddenly frozen in this entire timeline.

The moment the androgynous figure began walking up to the straw hut, an invisible power washed over her.

"You can stop now," mumbled the androgynous figure as she waved her left hand, causing the power that was washing over her to stop.

"Your incarnation is still somewhat more powerful than mine," mumbled an extremely familiar voice from inside of the straw hut, causing the androgynous figure to chuckle.

"Trying to fight someone as old as me, it's really not fair for you to bully little old me," said the androgynous figure as it walked up to the straw hut before walking inside.

Inside of the straw hut stood a single woman that was sitting crosslegged with a rusty sword on her lap.

"I need you to do something for me, you are much closer to her than me," said the androgynous figure before beginning to tell the woman some things.

...

"How come Xu Ming became more troublesome as she became older," mumbled Xu Yue as she thought about how much time she spent talking with her daugter.

Of course, Xu Yue could talk with someone for years at a time, but to listen to someone's rambling for hours in a row was still something she did not appreciate, only paying attention because this was her daughter.

Suddenly, just as Xu Yue was still deep in thought, a familiar voice suddenly sounded from behind her.

"I haven't been in this place in a very long time," said an extremely familiar voice, in fact, this voice was way too familiar to Xu Yue, causing her to suddenly open her eyes.

"An illusion, or some technique," mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the woman who looked identical to her, no rather nearly identical as after a few moments Xu Yue managed to notice some slight differences.

Of course, this was not taking into account the white robe and the rusty sword in the other party's hands.

If you discover this tale on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen. Please report the violation.

"I'm no illusion," said a voice behind Xu Yue, causing her to turn back.

Looking at the identical copy of herself that was currently sitting just behind her, Xu Yue felt a chill in her bones.

"Why hasn't ancestor noticed her yet," thought Xu Yue as she wondered how useless the sect's immortal formations actually were.

"Xu Lanfeng, it's been a while," mumbled Xu Yue's copy as she held the rusty sword in her hands with a smile on her face.

Hearing that, Xu Yue turned behind herself before frowning.

"You don't have to search, I wasn't talking with Xu Lanfeng, I was just thinking about some things," said the copy as suddenly she and Xu Yue appeared at a table.

"Talking with myself at this particular table, could you be a hidden heart demon of mine," mumbled Xu Yue, as she looked at the table, which was Yue's go-to place to talk with her, when she suddenly realized something.

"You know ancestor?" asked Xu Yue as she looked at the copy of herself with even more questions, completely unsure of what she was talking to.

"You could say that," said the copy as it looked at Xu Yue with an even larger smile.

Just as Xu Yue went into deep thought, the copy suddenly got up from the table before walking away.

"The next time we meet you can call me second, I hope that happens soon little girl," said the copy before disappearing.

The moment the copy disappeared, Xu Lanfeng suddenly raised her head.

"Dozing off?" mumbled Xu Lanfeng with confusion on her face, but after a few moments, a strange aura swept of Xu Lanfeng, completely unbeknownst to her.

After that, the confusion on Xu Lanfeng's face disappeared as she no longer doubted herself, nothing in the lower dimension, not even a True Immortal could trick her senses.

...

"She's pretty good," said two as she looked at first's incarnation with a smile on her face.

Hearing that, first breathed a sigh of relief.

"Thankfully you are satisfied, that main body puts way too much work on me," mumbled the incarnation as it looked at the lazy looking two with a smile on her face.

"Don't think that I'm lazy, your main body is probably the same as me, but there's not much to do in a single timeline after trillions of years is there?" asked second with as she looked at the incarnation with a smile on her face, causing first's incarnation to look pretty surprised.

"Why are you smiling so much?" asked the incarnation, causing a smile to appear on the second's face.

"This is a secret that incarnations shouldn't be privy to," said the second as she let out a small laugh.

"You really are shameless," mumbled the first's incarnation as it began leaving, causing the second to glance at it from the corner of her eyes.

Soon after the incarnation left, the second began thinking about something else.

"Xu Lanfeng," mumbled the second before nodding, causing time to continue flowing for this entire timeline.

...

Looking at the empty table in front of her, Xu Yue couldn't help but let out a defeated sigh.

"At least Xu Ming wasn't so cryptic," mumbled Xu Yue as she remembered what she was thinking about before she was interrupted, but just as Xu Yue was about to begin thinking about what had just happened more seriously, a single thought suddenly entered her mind.

"Timelines," mumbled Xu Yue as several things inside of her mind suddenly clicked together, causing them to make sense.

Suddenly, just as Xu Yue was about to focus on thinking, a pair of steps was suddenly heard outside of her room.

Before Xu Yue could even allow her to enter, Hulli Jing was already in the room, and in front of her.
