286 : Annoyance

As she took a sip of the tea in front of her, Xu Yanmei couldn't help but look at the young girl next to her from the corner of her eye.

Seeing this, Xu Huan, who was being stared at, returned the favor and stared straight into Xu Yanmei's eyes, causing the little fox in her arms to appear confused.

"It's really quite rare for you to take a human form, I didn't expect your form to stay the same after all this time, that's all," said Xu Yanmei, causing Xu Huan, who was currently holding Xu Wei'er in her hands, to suddenly freeze.

Just as Xu Huan was about to respond, Hulli Jing, who was sitting next to her, suddenly interrupted the conversation whilst lightly tapping Xu Huan on the arm.

"So, Xiaoqing, when are you planning to leave some descendants?" asked Hulli Jing, causing Xu Xiaoqing, who was peacefully eating, to suddenly freeze with a question mark appearing on her head.

'Since when I was involved in this conversation?' thought Xu Xiaoqing as she turned her attention to her mother.

"I don't have any plans for anything like that just yet," said Xu Xiaoqing, causing Hulli Jing to just nod.

...

As they looked at the four foxes, who were talking carefully as if they were sworn enemies, Xu Yue and Xu Ming, who were sitting at the same table, couldn't help, but both feel somewhat confused.

Looking at Xu Xiaoqing, who was just about to flip the table over, Xu Ming turned to her mother.

'Mother, do you have any idea what's happening?' asked Xu Ming.

'I really don't, but ignoring them should be a good strategy,' said Xu Yue while staring in front of her without doing anything, standing like an inanimate object.

Even though initially, Hulli Jing had asked Xu Xiaoqing if she wanted descendants simply to shift the conversation from Xu Huan and Xu Yanmei's little conflict, after around 3 years of discussion, as well as some extremely strong wine, this topic once again emerged.

By now, though, both Hulli Jing and Xu Xiaoqing were no longer as rational as they were in the past, causing the tone of the conversation to radically change.

...

A few months later,

As she held Xu Huan's little fox form in her hands and stared at the scene in front of her, Xu Yanmei couldn't help but shake her and let out a faint sigh.

After a few years of talking and arguing, the argument between Hulli Jing and Xu Xiaoqing had begun escalating.

And finally, whilst Xu Yue was not paying attention, the table had actually been thrown into a corner of the room, causing the two foxes to actually begin fighting.

Of course, if Xu Yue, who was currently playing with Bing Yue paid any sort of attention, this matter could have been resolved.

"Eldest Sister, shouldn't you interfere?" asked Xu Huan as she looked at Xu Ming, who was doing her best to prevent the two foxes from really fighting.

"I don't think either of us want to get involved in that mess, you should follow mother's lead," mumbled Xu Yanmei as she pointed towards Xu Yue, who was still standing on her seat, completely zoned out and not paying any attention to the fighting going on.

Hearing this, Xu Huan, who was originally intending to go help break up the fight, couldn't help but touch her chin using her paw for a few moments.

A moment after that, Xu Huan closed her eyes into the arms o her Eldest Sister, shamelessly sleeping alongside the young Xu Wei'er.

...

"Yue you have to take action, this little rascal doesn't want to leave us any descendants, you need to put her on the right track..."

The moment she opened her eyes and stared at the scene in front of her, a vein instantly appeared on Xu Yue's forehead.

Looking at Hulli Jing, who was rapidly talking to her with tears in her eyes, as well as at Xu Xiaoqing, who was being held down by Xu Yanmei, who had an extremely annoyed look in her eyes, Xu Yue instantly understood the situation at hand.

After thinking for a few moments and taking a sneak peek at the future of her daughter's, Xu Yue slightly smirked before shaking her head.

"You shouldn't nag her so much, I'm sure that Xiaoqing will make her own decision in the future," said Xu Yue as she rose up from the ground, making Xu Ming, who was standing nearby, to wipe the sweat off her forehead.

"You see, mother agre-"

Just as Xu Xiaoqing began speaking, Xu Yue suddenly snapped her fingers, causing the effects of the wine on her to suddenly disappear.

As she looked at Xu Yue, who was staring at her with a slightly annoyed look on her face, Xu Xiaoqing couldn't help but freeze for a brief moment before becoming silent.

After that, Xu Yanmei could finally let go, causing Xu Xiaoqing to quickly rise from the ground and obediently walk next to Hulli Jing.

Just as Hulli Jing was about to speak once again, Xu Yue snapped her fingers once again, causing the small effects of the wine on her to suddenly disappear.

As she felt Xu Yue's gaze, which was actually annoyed this time, land on her, Hulli Jing suddenly turned to Xu Xiaoqing.

"Xiaoqing, with your current cultivation, drinking Five Hundred Million-Year-Old Wine is not good for your health, It was my mistake for allowing you to drink it," said Hulli Jing, causing Xu Xiaoqing to nod.

"I understand mother, we will talk about the topic of our conversation in the future," said Xu Xiaoqing, causing Xu Yue, who was watching this scene with a cold look in her eyes, to faintly smile once again.

...

As she looked at Xu Yanmei, who was walking alongside her, Xu Huan, who was once again in her human form, couldn't help but begin talking.

"Sister, wasn't this meeting meant to celebrate your children?" asked Xu Huan with a weird look on her face, causing Xu Yanmei to stay silent for a brief moment.

"Do you want to watch that for three more years?" asked Xu Yanmei, causing Xu Huan to suddenly remain silent.

At this moment, though, Xu Yanmei suddenly froze in place, feeling as if something was missing something rather important.

...

As she looked at Xu Wei'er, who she was currently holding in her hands, Xu Xiaoqing faintly smiled.
