At this moment, Xu Yue was staring at the hole she had created in the river of fate, which had just become over twenty times larger in a single moment.
As she felt the pressure the information from the river of fate weight down on her soul, a small smile couldn't help but appear on Xu Yue's face.
Although the vast majority of the information she obtained from the river of fate was pure garbage, Xu Yue still felt some joy obtaining it, for some reason.
After a few moments, Xu Yue turned her attention away from the river of fate, letting it do its work in the background, and turned her attention to a problem.
The fact that she had gotten sidetracked.
Some time ago, Xu Yue had promised Hulli Jing that she would spend some years relaxing with her, but right now, if things were to continue the way they are going, she will probably spend the vast majority of that time cultivating instead.
Although becoming a Nine Star Ancient god did help heal her existence somewhat, Xu Yue still knew her priorities, which were comprehending existence and Spending time with her Dao Companion.
"Hopefully she's not too mad," mumbled Xu Yue as she got up and, no longer sitting crosslegged.
A moment later, Xu Yue disappeared from inside of her room.
...
Staring at Xu Yue who had just appeared in front of her, no expression could be seen on Hulli Jing's face.
"I'm sorry, are you angry with me?" asked Xu Yue as she approached the pregnant Hulli Jing, whose belly had become somewhat larger than before.
"I'm not," coldly said Hulli Jing, causing a somewhat grave expression to appear on Xu Yue's face.
Only a fraction of a moment after she finished speaking, Hulli Jing felt a pair of hands embrace her from behind.
"I'm sorry," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to slightly shake her head.
"You don't have to worry, I'm not angry at you in the slightest," said Hulli Jing as she turned her head back, staring straight into Xu Yue's eyes.
As she heard Hulli Jing's words and saw the truthful expression on her face, a somewhat confused expression appeared on Xu Yue's face.
Stolen from its original source, this story is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.
At this moment, Xu Yue's mind had begun working at it's top speed, causing her to even ignore the river of fate, which was previously weighing on her soul.
Only a fraction of a moment later, Xu Yue once again hugged Hulli Jing tightly.
"You think you are delaying my progress by keeping me here, don't you?" asked Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to slightly smile as she turned around and faced Xu Yue.
"Am I not doing that? If not for me, you probably would have been stronger already, you should already know how valuable time is at this stage" asked Hulli Jing as she looked at Xu Yue, causing a somewhat bitter smile to appear on Xu Yue's face.
Of course, that bitter smile was wiped off Xu Yue's face only a moment later, being replaced by a good idea.
"That is somewhat true, but, I do have a good idea of how we can fix this," said Xu Yue, causing some surprise to appear on Hulli Jing's face.
No matter how hard Hulli Jing racked her brain, she could not find a way to solve this problem, as such, when she heard Xu Yue's words, Hulli JIng felt extremely surprised.
"It's very simple actually, I just need to become stronger by spending time with you than I could have become in seclusion," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to instinctually nod before suddenly stopping at the last moment.
"That doesn't seem very likely, does it, how would you even achieve that?" asked Hulli Jing as she looked at her Dao Companion, causing the latter to shake her head.
"It's actually very simple if you think about it from my perspective little fox," said Xu Yue, causing even more confusion to appear on the latter's face.
"Since I decided that I will do this, it means I will achieve it, no matter what," said Xu Yue.
Hearing Xu Yue's very simple and direct words, Hulli Jing felt like her ears were not actually working.
"How can you be so sure that this will work?" asked Hulli Jing, staring at her Dao Companion with her eyes open.
"I'm very confident in my talent," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to have some doubts.
"If you are so confident in your talent, wouldn't going into seclusion be more effective?"
"No."
"Why?"
"Because I decided it will not be," said Xu Yue, prompting Hulli Jing to shake her head once and for all.
"Since you are so confident, why don't we make a bet?" said Hulli Jing as she tied her hands around Xu Yue's neck.
"So, what will you give me if I win?" asked Xu Yue, immediately accepting the bet.
"Whatever you want."
"I already have that," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to fall into thought for a few minutes.
After thinking for a few minutes, knowing how unlikely it would be for Xu Yue to actually succeed, Hulli Jing spoke, gritting her teeth.
"I will bring you back to my home and let you meet some of my cousins," said Hulli Jing.
"Hmm, that would be pretty good," mumbled Xu Yue, a small smile appearing on her face.
Xu Yue was quite satisfied with the bed that Hulli Jing had made, after all, 'meet some of her cousins' was not very descriptive.
As Xu Yue's hand groped Hulli Jing's body, a small smile couldn't help but appear on her face.
"Very well then, that will be our bet," said Xu Yue, causing Hulli Jing to suddenly widen her eyes.
"You didn't even wager anything!"
"You can decide what you want me to do after I lose, not that it matters anyway," said Xu Yue, causing some anger to appear on Hulli Jing's face.
A moment later, Hulli Jing suddenly disappeared, no longer wanting to see Xu Yue.
"It looks like she's no longer mad," mumbled Xu Yue as a large smile appeared on her face.
After a few moments, Xu Yue couldn't help but fall into thought.
'How in the world will I become stronger than I could become in my seclusion?' thought Xu Yue.
