47 : Apex Predator

Standing next to her grandfather, Xu Yue was gazing at the beautiful world in front of her.

"I can't go any further. You will be on your own from now " said Xu Hui as he looked at Xu Yue.

Even though Xu Yue was looking through her spatial bag, she still nodded as she responded to her grandfather.

"You don't have to worry, the amount of formations surrounding this world is large. If the formation detects danger of death, it will bring you out of it, having disciples die is not the goal of the tournamnet " said Xu Hui, as to alleviate Xu Yue's non-existent worries.

After this, the two of them began waiting for the tournament to begin.

Xu Hui's lips twitched as he saw a young disciple peaking at Xu Yue through a corner.

"The tournament will soon begin " said Xu Hui as he looked at Xu Yue.

A few minutes later, Xu Yue found herself inside of a forest.

"I didn't notice anything when it moved me. I wonder what grade the formations here actually are " mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the token that had just appeared in her hands.

After a moment of thought, Xu Yue sent her spiritual sense into the token. After she did so, the how the first part of the tournament entered her mind.

Xu Yue became bored while looking through the rules. Not that there were actually any rules, but this token described how the first part of the tournament would actually work.

Each contestant in the first part of the tournament would have a token. This token was the way contestants were ranked. Every time someone defeated a spiritual beast, they would gain a certain number of points based on its strength.

The number of points is the way contestants, of course, there is another way to gain points. Every time someone was defeated by someone else, the defeated one would have to give the winner 90 percent of their points.

Xu Yue smiled as she looked at the last parts of the rules. She completely ignored the number of points you would gain by defeating beasts.

"I have been cultivating in seclusion for such a long time. I should relax a little bit " mumbled Xu Yue as she looked at the lush forest around her.

This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.

After this, Xu Yue then started walking leisurely in a random direction.

One day later, in another location.

Yan Yi looked at the dead beast in front of him and breathed a sigh of relief.

"I managed to do it " mumbled Yan Yi. This was in fact a Third Rank spiritual beast, the fact that he managed to defeat it at The Foundation Establishment realm was quite impressive.

Yan Yi became extremely cautious as he heard two sets of footsteps coming towards him.

"You should just obediently give us your points " said Zhang Zixin as he looked at Yan Yi.

Yan Yi gritted his teeth. Looking at Zhang Zixin, Yan Yi could feel a threatening aura. He dispaired as he felt a similar aura from the female cultivator next to him.

"Didn't the two of you badmouth senior sister? " said a voice.

As the three of them heard this voice, they immediately became on high alert, searching for its origin.

"You don't have to search for me, I'm here " said Ming Yun in a cheery voice.

Yun Yi felt his hair stand on end as he heard a voice coming from right behind him.

As he slowly turned around, Yun Yi saw a short girl dressed in the robes of an Origin Sword sect disciple standing right behind him.

Ming Yun took a step towards Yun Yi before stretching out her hand with her token in it.

Yun Yi was still somehow shocked silly and stood still.

"Your points " said Ming Yun, the cheeriness in her voice disappearing.

Yun Yi took his token and quickly transferred 90 percent of his points to her.

After doing this, Yun Yi broke out into a run, managing to escape death.

After Yun Yi left, Ming Yun slowly walked towards the two Origin Sword sect disciples before stretching her token to them.

Looking at Ming Yun who was in a near defenseless state, Zhang Zhixin wanted to take out his sword to sneak attack her.

As he did so, he discovered the fact that his right hand could not move anymore.

"The fact that you badmouthed my senior sister is unforgivable " said Ming Yun.

"The only reason you are alive is the fact that senior sister's grandfather told me not to kill you. Don't be so arrogant next time " continued Ming Yun.

The female disciple next to Zhang Zhixin hurriedly caught his right hand, preventing it from falling to the ground.

Five minutes later,

"La la la la " sang Ming Yun as she leisurely walked around the forest while looking at her points.

Even though he was already in the Soul Enlightenment realm, Cao Shunyuan felt the threat of death while looking at that little girl.

"Finally she's gone " mumbled Cao Shunyuan as she saw the singing girl disappear in the distance.

"If you don't mind " said a shy voice from behind Cao Shuyuan.

As he slowly turned around, sweat appeared on Cao Shuyuan's face as he saw Ming Yun appear right next to him. Right now he felt as if he was a fat sheep sitting next to an apex predator.

"We don't have to devolve to violence " said Cao Shuyuan as he slowly took out his token.

"If only other people were as reasonable as you " said Ming Yun as she sighed.

As Ming Yun was taking out her token, Cao Shuyuan silently cursed her shamelessness.

Cao Shuyuan silently winced as he felt one of his fingers disappear.

"You shouldn't curse people, some might get quite mad " said Ming Yun as she looked at the number of points being transferred to her token.

After this, Ming Yun completely disappeared from sight, finally letting Cao Shuyuan breathe a sigh of relief.
