116 : Breakthrough

As he sat crosslegged and looked at the sky, a worried expression appeared on Yun Qi's face.

"What's happening?" mumbled Yun Qi as began conducting a divination.

"Don't try to divine it," said a voice from behind Yun Qi.

"Master what happened?" asked Yun Qi as he looked at Wang Ming, the leader of the Heaven Scrying Temple and his master.

Looking at his master, who seemed to have lost a large amount of lifespan, worry appeared in Yun Qi's eyes.

"Don't worry, things did not go totally wrong, I will soon recover," said Wang Ming as he patted Yun Qi's shoulder.

"Good," mumbled Yun Qi as he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

"You should go have some rest," said Wang Ming as he looked at his disciple.

"Yes master," said Yun Qi as he then began retreating to his cave abode.

As Yun Qi disappeared from the scene, Wang Ming sat down crosslegged, with a serious expression on his face.

"When will things return to normal?" mumbled Wang Ming as he began a new round of divination.

...

Looking around in the endless darkness, Wang Ming suddenly saw a little white light in the distance, as such, he began traveling to it.

"What is that?" mumbled Wang Ming as he came closer and closer to the light, still unable to see as his spiritual sense was unusable in this location.

"How beautiful," mumbled Wang Ming, being completely intoxicated as he looked at the pair of eyes in front of him.

After a few minutes of staring at the eyes, Wang Ming suddenly regained his senses as he felt an extreme pain in his soul.

"Thankfully I prepared in case something like this happened," mumbled Wang Ming as he ripped out a needle from his soul.

But, still, even though he regained his senses, Wang Ming still couldn't help but stare at the incomparably beautiful eyes.

...

Wang Ming breathed a sigh of relief as he closely examined his body and soul.

"Nothing happened," mumbled Wang Ming as he remembered the last thing he saw.

Remembering the way those eyes stared at him made Wang Ming feel both terror and admiration.

A while later,

Reappearing inside of the endless darkness Wang Ming began traveling towards the eyes at a fast speed.

Looking at the eyes in front of him, Wang Ming took out a small piece of rock and began sculpting, thankfully, this time as he did not get too close, the eyes did not look at him.

After several days of work,

"Finally," mumbled Wang Ming as he felt the aura of the sculpture in front of him.

"Maybe some disciples can increase their understanding by looking at it," mumbled Wang Ming as he once again returned to the real world with his soul, and inhabited his body once more.

"It was worth it," mumbled Wang Ming, as looked at the statue with glee, not bothering to worry about the price of the soul stone it was carved from.

After creating a few formations around the statue, Wang Ming began searching for a suitable place to place it, not being satisfied with any of them.

Unknown to Wang Ming, a few minutes after he left, the statue's eyes slightly moved, as if it was looking around, examining it's surroundings.

...

"Master is this alright?" asked Yun Qi as he looked at the eye statue in front of him with some worry.

"Don't worry, this is a method for the disciples to better understand divination," said Wang Ming as he slightly scolded his disciple.

"Understood master," said Yun Qi as he began examining the statue himself.

A while later,

"How wonderful," mumbled Yun Qi as he felt his understanding of divination rapidly grow as he examined the statue, by the time, he completely ignored both the slightly unnerving feeling he felt when he saw the statue and the group of disciples that were also examining it with fervor.

...

Sitting cross-legged in his cave abode, Yun Qi smiled as he digested his new understanding of divination.

"What kind of being did master model the statue from?" mumbled Yun Qi as the thought entered his mind for a moment before he stopped thinking about it.

As time continued to pass, Yun Qi continued indulging himself in furthering his understanding of divination.

In another location,

Tian Zei sat crosslegged as his qi permeated his whole body, transforming in into something else.

After several days of transformation, Tian Zei finally breathed a sigh of relief.

...

Sitting crosslegged in front of a pile of spiritual stones, Ming Yun smiled.

"Let's do this," mumbled Ming Yun as continued adding more spiritual stones to the pile.

"This should be enough," mumbled Ming Yun as the entirety of her qi began traveling through her body, at the same time, the pile of spiritual stones began decreasing in size at a fast pace as it was being absorbed by Ming Yun.

Right now, looking at Ming Yun were Xu Yue and Bing Yue, seeing the pile was running low, Bing Yue gritted her teeth and began pouring spiritual stones from her spatial ring.

"I will get every single one back," mumbled Bing Yue as she looked at Ming Yun with anger, but still, she continued giving her spiritual stones.

Looking at Bing Yue who still pretended she hated Ming Yun, Xu Yue let out a chuckle.

"This is quite funny," mumbled Xu Yue as she stretched her arms upwards and relaxed while looking at Ming Yun and Bing Yue.

Thirty minutes later,

A destitute Bing Yue looked at Ming Yun who had finished absorbing the spiritual stones, and did not need anymore.

"What is this?" asked Bing Yue as she looked at the spatial bag Xu Yue handed her.

"This was really quite funny," said Xu Yue as she took one last look at Ming Yun before shamelessly walking away.

Looking at it's contents, Bing Yue wanted to throw the spatial bag at Xu Yue.

"If you had spiritual stones why make me suffer," mumbled Bing Yue as she transferred the spiritual stones from the spatial bag to her spatial ring.
