Whilst her body was seemingly on its guard and ready to battle the apostle in front of her, Ye Feng's mind was in a state of constant doubt.
Even though Ye Feng did not recognize who that True Immortal really was, upon seeing her, she was instantly sure that the latter was a Rank 6 True Immortal, only a step below the most powerful cultivators throughout all existence.
The fact that two such beings had managed to descend into the Lower Realm instantly raised red flags within Ye Feng's mind.
Based on the fragmented memories of her previous life, Ye Feng knew that descending to the Lower Dimension as a True Immortal, even a relatively weak one, was extraordinarily difficult.
In fact, Ye Feng had never even heard of True Immortals above Rank 3 managing to descend to the lower dimension in her past life, as the Grand Dao was extremely strict in managing them.
But right now, it seemed as though the barrier of the Grand Dao was like a sieve, allowing everything to go through it.
...
As she looked at Li Fengfeng, who still continued chasing after her as the situation around them became more and more dire, with swarms of bugs running all around, Xia Jingfei couldn't help but faintly frown.
"Feng'er, are you really so bewitched by me that you would place having this meaningless chase against me over the lives of the Myriad Creatures of the Three Thousand Regions? I really underestimated your obsession," said Xia Jingfei with a faint smile on her face.
Hearing that, for a simple reason, a faint scowl appeared on Li Fengfeng's face.
After all these years, Li Fengfeng had gotten used to Xia Jingfei's tricks, but what made him feel the most frustrated was the fact that Xia Jingfei was sometimes right.
Especially in recent times, Xia Jingfei seemed to have become far trickier to handle than before.
Seeing this, the faint smile on Xia Jingfei's face increased in size, becoming a full-blown smile.
If ordinary cultivators saw the smile of this demoness, they would be instantly charmed, but as Li Fengfeng looked at it, he felt the taste of defeat even more.
"It looks like even Feng'er agrees with me, how about this, we can continue our little chase after all of this is over, would that be alright Feng'er?" asked Xia Jingfei, causing Li Fengfeng to fall silent.

Without any warning, Li Fengfeng stopped chasing after Xia Jingei and turned towards a certain swarm of bugs that was quickly travelling towards a cultivation country.
Seeing this, the smile on Xia Jingfei's face disappeared, as she then returned to normal.
Interestingly though, Xia Jingfei also looked towards a swarm of bugs, but for a completely different reason though.
Whilst Li Fengfeng wanted to do nothing but save as many living beings as possible from the wrath of these bugs, Xia Jingfei was much more interested in the bugs themselves.
Even though these bugs had quite a disgusting exterior, as she stared at the sweet and succulent Dao of Devouring hidden within them, Xia Jingfei's mouth couldn't help but slightly water.
Xia Jingfei had first gotten a taste of the Dao of Devouring within these bugs back during the first invasion, sadly though, back then Xia Jingfei was quite weak, making her unable to obtain many benefits from them.
This was of course not true right now, as in the years between the two invasions, she was able to become much more powerful, as well as much more aware of the benefits that these bugs could bring her.
In Xia Jingfei's honest opinion, these bugs could probably bring her more benefits than Xin Ren, the current Temple Master of the Yin-Yang Temple, which she had devoured not too long ago.
In truth, this was actually the reason why Li Fengfeng had once again begun chasing after Xia Jingfei.
Sadly though, this chase began at quite an bad time for Li Fengfeng, making him have to abandon it.
A moment later, without any thought or hesitation, Xia Jingfei dove into a near endless swarm of bugs.
In just a few breaths, the entire swarm of bugs then withered, as all vitality exited their bodies, causing Xia Jingfei to fly out to another swarm.
...
As he watched Xia Jingfei quickly dispose of one swarm of bugs after another, Li Fengfeng couldn't help but click his teeth before taking out his sword.
In an instant, a small piece of Sword QI suddenly flew towards the bug swarm in front of him, before being devoured by it a moment later.
Only a few moments after that, the swarm of bugs suddenly began dying.
Seeing the technique he had prepared to deal with Xia Jingfei work so well on these bugs, Li Fengfeng couldn't help but click his teeth and slightly chuckle.
After fighting against Xia Jingfei for some time, Li Fengfeng of course began researching methods to restrain her prowess against him.
Against Li Fengfeng, Xia Jingfei's ability to absorb most attacks had become extremely troublesome, giving him nearly no way to fight her head.
As such, Li Fengfeng knew that he could do one of two things.
The first option was for Li Fengfeng to somehow make Xia Jingfei unable to absorb his attacks.
Sadly, no matter how Li Fengfeng racked his brains and continued testing his new technique, it seemed to never be able to resist her devouring.
The other option, the one that Li Fengfeng had been able to somewhat accomplish, was to make Xia Jingfei unwilling to absorb his attacks by placing hidden traps within them, which would harm Xia Jingfei from within.
Even though Li Fengfeng did not yet have the chance to test the technique he had named the 'Hidden Sword Qi' against Xia Jingfei, it seemed to work rather well against these bugs.
Of course, unlike these mindless bugs, Xia Jingfei will probably stop absorbing the Sword Qi after she discovers the traps hidden within, making it slightly less efective than against these mindless bugs.
