Scene 4 - I'll take an arm!
Waves of fire and poison ran around in a torrent on rune’s body as the venom started to eat away at her flesh. An inhuman chuckle escaped from Rune’s lips as Roko’s appearance appeared in her shadow as her bones could be heard crackling.
Danidon expression didn’t change coldly staring at Rune, “Humph you think your tough shit with a spirit weapon? Two can play it that game!”
He shoulder muscles started to bulge slightly as the power of wind carried around his eyes flared a light green as a figure similar to Roko appeared behind him. Unexpectedly Danidon was holding back his powers revealing that he was an Awakened that had a weapon above gold tier!
A built man reaching four meters tall stood with his arms crossed over his chest. His green hair flowed down his shoulders with wind tattoos covering his arms and chest. Facial features fierce and unrelenting eyebrows drawn like swords and a thousand-eyed glare carried full of contempt for all he saw.
Danidon and the green figured roared in unison making the wind around them increase in intensity as wind tattoos flared up upon Danidon body. The forces of wind, flame, and poison clashed against one another causing an explosion of force.
The force even grabbed the attention of Qao who had just beheaded one of the contestants blocking her. Such a clash amongst warriors made her blood boil wishing to join the fight, unfortunately, these pesky bugs were truly hard to kill as she only managed to kill half of them before a powerful expert appeared in their ranks blocking her massacre.
A woman wielding the power of earth tried relentlessly to bury her in a coffin of poison sand. If it wasn’t for the nerd in glasses playing his Zephyr she would have been in a more troublesome predicament.
As Qao battled against her troublesome opponent and lackeys, Rune was trading blow for against Danidon as their weapon spirits fought against each other with the forces of nature above their heads.
By now the surrounding area of fifty meters was greatly affected by the two’s confrontation causing a three-meter creator to appear below them. Fists and trident bashed against one another in a frenzied manner in close combat.
Despite the pain coursing through her body Rune kept on the flow of attacks not letting Danidon pull any distance from her. While on Danidon side he wielded his trident with one hand and casting wind scythe spells in the other.
Of course, Rune would be able to crush them with her hands, it was annoying her that when she had an opening he would use these spells as cover. Rune wished she could keep fighting on, but she knew the venom inside her kept moving closer to her heart.
If she didn’t finish this fight soon the venom would have progressed too far for her to cleanse it herself meaning she would have to drop out of the contest. Just thinking about not meeting her siblings expectations as a big sister drove her to hate herself at the thought.
Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.
Didn’t she promise Master Mo once before she would carry the weight of her sibling on her back? Would she go back on her word?
Absolutely not her pride wouldn’t allow it!
How could she lose to this guy in this place? She wouldn’t allow it even in death!
Unknown power within her rippled throughout her tired body all of a sudden her eyes lit with green flames she made the decision to discard her defense and end it all in one attack!
Her opponent Danidon could sense the increase in power in Rune and increased his focus at once he had a bad feeling go through his spirit as if the flame witch was planning something.
The change was gradual in the fight as more blood started to flow from Rune’s body and the intensity of her attacks climbed had started putting Danidon in a tough spot as the area around them had turned into a raging inferno of wind and flame.
Then Rune saw it the moment she was waiting for when Danidon was pulling back his trident hand to attack with another wind scythe a moment to go all out. While she waiting to attack Poison had silently been building up in her right hand waiting for this moment to move with peak strength in one all-out attack. With a demon-like roar poison ignited around her arm as a burst of fire shot out of feet increasing her speed in an instant closing the distance.
Her hand formed a fang gesture as she brought it down like a mighty ware hammer, “<=Spider Fang=>!”
The fang hand appeared right in front of his face leaving him no time to dodge! But as someone who wielded a weapon above gold tier, he didn’t hesitate to block using his arm and attack with his trident aiming for his head!
‘Humph, if wanna die then die!’
Rune didn’t stop to pull back at the impending trident aiming for her head and kept going ripping into his arm like paper. Her attack even reached a quarter inch into his chest! But it didn’t come without cost as her attack luckily shifted his trident hands attack direction one of the prongs stabbed into her right eye socket crushing her eye in the process.
Even more, luck was that when Rune severed Danidons arm the pain distorted his magic for a few seconds meaning the wind blade effect on his trident didn’t cut her head in two. In pain, the two fell back from one another.
Clutching her eye Rune laughed like a mad woman as the venom coursed through her body, “I told you I’d take your arm, too bad it wasn’t your life. Although if my poison has anything to say about it you are going to die a painful death bastard!”
Danidon was clutching his chest in agony as Rune’s poison started to eat into him from his chest and arm. He started coughing off black blood and knew he needed to immediately start treating his wounds or face death.
Unhesitantly he pulled out a scroll from his bag of holding and crushed it in his hand, light surrounded his body making him an orb of light. In the next moment, the orb of light shot towards the bridge at incredible speed leaving Rune shocked as it continued forth to the next island.
This wasn’t the only thing to happen as the expert fighting Qao seeing the orb of light also pulled out a scroll and crushed enveloping her in an orb of light sending her in the direction of Danidon clearly showing that they were partnered up.
With the annoying pest gone Qao and the nerd quickly made short work of the rest. Now the battle had grown quite with Rune, Qao and the nerd standing there the victors. Rune wanted to sit down right there and contain the venom that was wrecking her body but Qao’s wolf-like gaze landed on her.
Turning her head to the nerd she asked respectively, “Prince Carl shall we do away with… This one?”
