Scene 2 - Graveyard
The card of Gemini was a strange land, unlike the desert card like Libra its field was that of a foggy graveyard that held not a scent of life within. The gravestones instead of being made of stone were rusted swords ranging from all shapes and sizes that held a shield hanging from the guard.
If one looked closely at each shield they would notice the intricate designs in the metal, and inlaid at the center of each shield was a name written in a strange language. Besides the gravestones throughout the land, at the center was a carving of the symbol Gemini stained black from blood ages past.
While the fog slowly drifted through this dead land, two flashes suddenly appeared one being Sol and the other being his sister Luna.
Holding her spear at the ready Luna readied her spear and yelled, “Damn their fast watch out br-- Eh?”
Seeing that the scenery had changed so suddenly she and Sol were confused until a voice appeared as a pillar in the distance rose up from the ground. On top of the seat sat the tall necromancer brother and sitting in the chair with him was his little brother.
Since the card was meant for one person they had to share a seat to tap into its power, which they didn’t mind much since they were close. Seeing the two distant figures sitting in there stone chair Luna raised her spear in arrogance, “Where are we?! Get down here and fight so I can impale you!”
The brothers laughed at the twins, “Just wait there for awhile, we need to gather more contestants before we start the game.”
In a cloud of smoke, the two left the twins alone, to their thoughts which made Len mad, while on the other hand, Sol sat down lazily. Seeing him sit down so casually Len felt like beating him, “Why are you sitting down!”
Turning to his sister casually he yawned, “Do you see a way out? Let’s wait for more people and see what's going to happen.”
With a sign, the anger in Luna’s body faded and sat back to back with her brother turning her spear back into a keychain, “Whatever…”
…
Coming in ones or threes contestants started to fill up the stone platform, surprisingly no one started any fighting. Groups started to form on the platform with a surprising turn of events the twin area held the largest group of twenty-three people led by a green-skinned man that had large teeth coming out of his bottom jaw.
All over his body, their were tribal piercings and scars that seemed to form some strange formation. Despite his odd appearance and large teeth, he had a very manly face that seemed heroic.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
This man wasn’t a human instead his face was that of an Orc, a race the held from the elemental forest. Out of the 3000 contestants, there was only one other Orc that was taking the test, that goes to show how far the Orcs had traveled.
The contestants were sitting in a circle that somehow included the twins in the ring, sitting next to them was the said heroic Orc. Holding a large cup in his hands the Orc Laughed happily telling a story, “An so there I was in the metal forest fighting against so wire beasts and let me tell you those suckers cut! See this wound on my leg one of those damn little bastards but into my leg and wouldn’t let go! Oukip laughed at me for it later in the village ugh. And this scar came from…”
As the cheerful Orc told about his battle stories openly to the group the people around him started to ease up a little and laughed together with the big guy. Sol jested with the Orc from time to time very much liking his attitude his warm attitude and even Luna asked questions with curiosity about how the forest was like.
Soon enough the two twins found out the name of the Orc was Grorc and they shared their names with him reluctantly. They wanted to keep to themselves but this Orc acted too pure and heroic to ignore, he had a much better attitude then that bastard Drake.
With Grorc’s charisma, the circle he had made had become full of spirits, as the tale was being told in the bleak environment it was anyone's guess how managed to pull it off.
Unfortunately, not everyone was happy with the Orcs laughter, youth off to one of the weaker sides got up and moved over to Grorc’s circle and started kicking up a fuss.
A crooked nose that wasn’t set right, a front tooth in his grin missing, and most importantly… bald. Judging by his looks he was a hoodlum that had been in a lot of fights and wasn’t very happy with the Orcs happy go lucky attitude.
“Hey, green skin can you shut the fuck up? I’m trying to smoke here in peace and your voice is grating my ears.”
Grorc turned to the bald man and smiled bowing his head a little, “Ah I’m sorry bro people say I get too loud I’ll try to keep it down.”
Agitated the bald man threw his cigarette at Grorcs face, “Who the fuck are you calling bro green skin bastard! Go back to whatever the hell place you came from! A person such as you isn’t suitable to become a cultivator!”
Grorc didn’t get mad and bowed his head again, “Ah I understand how you feel but I can’t change the color of my skin. And for me cultivating is everything to me, I can’t give it up sorry about that.”
Viens popping from his face the blad man sent his foot smashing directly towards the currently bowed head of Grorc and he didn’t notice!
Luna frowned as Grorc was about had his face caved in, but didn’t do anything to stop it, ‘No point helping a competitor since we won’t gain anything from it. I mean look what happened when we teamed up with Drake? It just means one less prick to deal with.’
Turning her head away Luna didn’t want to be involved anymore in these turn of events. Waiting for the sounds of bones breaking to come, instead, the sound of metal being struck rang out.
‘Oh did the Orc defend himself?’
Taking a peek Luna's eyes widen in shock as shadows covered Sol’s face as he stood in front of Grorc shield in hand. Luna soon noticed his whole body was trembling in a rage which surprised Luna, ‘He hasn’t gotten this pissed since the fight in the pit! What made him so mad?!’
