Scene 6 - Death Knights
By the next wave, the group of cultivators had finished making the walls allowing for them to defend against the skeleton archers arrows with ease. With six entrances they decided to split up the entrance defense to three each and for the remaining two helping out the sides having the most trouble.
Wave after wave came battering the cultivators pushing harder and harder against them as their numbers increased ten at a time. Soon wave 19 passed and as they expected on wave 20 the time increased from two minutes to five minutes!
Group one smiled fearlessly budding with confidence thanks to their defenses and that despite reaching the twentieth wave they hadn’t lost a single person! Seeing them eager to battle the brown-haired man shook his head at how they were treating this like a game, “Hey, listen to big brother Saido if you treat this fight carelessly you're going to lose your life.”
Despite his warning of overconfidence, the group stood strong ready to fight brimming with fighting spirit. It made him somewhat agitated in how they acted but what could he hope for in a group of people who didn’t even know each other for more than an hour?
Sighing inwardly Saido readied his mace and shield as the clock ticked down and reached zero, ‘Whatever if they die they die it’s not my problem.’
They expected the regular skeletons to come out but instead, skeleton Foot Shoulders burst out from the ground with their eyes flickering with a cold green flame eyes. Their bones had formed a sort of armor that was tinged with black from a distance you could almost mistake it for flesh by its design.
Despite the change, the cultivators were not swayed to fear and charged out to meet these abominations of nature, “““““““KILL!!!”””””””
The cultivators chanted charging into the undead army that rattled intensely with their bones making up their battle cry. Weapons and bone flew, despite their increase in strength the skeletons had no leader to make use of that strength, allowing the cultivators to easily sweep through the sack of bones and finish the wave.
Saido smashed into the final skeleton with his mace going through the skull into the collarbone, shattering the spine and exiting out of the ribcage. Looking up to see the clock starting to count down again he turned around and head back into the base, “Group two it’s your turn!”
Luna eye’s shined full of energy flushing with a faint redness in her blue eyes, “Come on brother let's go wild!”
“Lets.”
...
Battling on the west side of the base the twins were a storm covering each other's back throughout the waves the grew larger with each wave finished. The third person with them seemed out of place with the two sweeping through the area in a crushing manner. Everything seemed to be going well until the 24th wave finished.

Glancing up the clock curiously Sol’s eyes narrowed seeing that the time had grown from five minutes to ten minutes! Turning his head back over to tell his sister Luna who was currently playing with a skeleton's heads by throwing them up in the air and smashing them into the distance with her spear while they waited.
With a grin, Luna squinted held her hand above her eyes and watched the skull travel into the distance, “Ha! Brother did you see how far that one went?! It had to go at least three hundred meters!”
Sol covered his eyes in embarrassment over how his sister was acting with the skeletons remains, “Sister we have more pressing matters, do you see the clock?”
Turning away after seeing the skill land into the distance Luna took a look at the Clock tilting her head, “Ten minutes? Wasn’t the clock before five minutes? It hasn’t even been ten waves since the increase. So something stronger is coming out?”
“My thoughts exactly Sis.”
Clenching her fist Luna eyes flickered with red, “Vlad wants to have a fun.”
The lone contestant near them started sweating bullets at the bloodlust leaking out of Luna spread out around her, ‘How many people has she killed?!?’
…
The twins weren't the only ones to notice the change in the timer as the rest of cultivators noticed the change and had started discussing among themselves about the reasons why the time had increased.
Only the higher leveled cultivators seemed not to care what the 25th wave would bring them, they waited patiently with their hands at the ready.
…
By around the one minute mark, Luna stopped hitting skulls into the horizon at Sol’s suggestion and stood side by side with her brother awaiting the wave. The flustered cultivator stood behind them as a support form the reason that they told him he would get in their way.
The clock hit zero soon after and the twins were ready to jump into the battle until they noticed something strange. The skeletons that usually ran at them at full speed without any sense of unity stood there as if awaiting orders.
A sense of foreboding crawled into the back of the cultivator minds at the scene, why were they waiting? Why weren't they attacking? Questions filled their minds as four black figures crawled out of the ground wielding massive greatswords. They stood at seven foot tall, their armor intertwined together with their bone armor, their eyes shone with a darker shade of green lanterns.
They didn’t rattle like the other skeletons giving off a somewhat noble aura despite being made of bone and metal. One by one they raised their swords into the air and like a signal, the skeletons around them started to get into a formation.
Seeing how the skeletons were moving sweat started to form at the back of the silver-haired man as he shouted loudly, “Kill those Death Knights! Don’t let them get into formation!”
Hearing the command Luna rushed out with Sol soon following behind her heading towards the nearest Death knight. Smoke started coming out of her mouth as her hair and eyes turned crimson she had activated spirit procession.
With a roar, Luna drove straight into the army of skeletons making a beeline towards the Death Knight stabbing straight out with her spear. As expected of a being called a Death Knight it didn’t let her kill it in one blow blocking her attack with its greatsword a boom could be heard as the two weapons clashed.
Luna wasn’t sad her attack didn’t work on the contrary she was excited, “Sack of bones let's fight!”
