Scene 5 - Skeleton Wars
Rattling intensely the skeletons launched themselves into Group one’s weapons, bone’s started flying as the contestants went to work crushing bones and chopping limbs. Despite their fever attempt to end this skeletons in one strike, they had an annoying ability that if one didn’t crush their heads into a powder they would pick themselves back up using whatever they had.
Although the contestants were caught off guard at first at the skeletons abilities and some got a few minor wounds the first wave after figuring out the trick to the kill them made it easy overcome.Leading the charge the fan maiden took the leading destroying the undead inspiring the cultivators under her lead as she sent waves of wind power crushing the skeletons into dust.
Frowning at how easy the first wave had been the fan maiden frowned, “Is this really a test? Even I alone could have taken on this alone with my eyes closed!”
A small rest of a minute had been given between the next wave to which the contestants stood ready and more relaxed after facing that wave. After the time was up 210 skeletons appeared, seeing this her eyes narrowed, ‘So it’s like this, every wave will add an extra 10 skeletons to the wave meaning that by wave 100 there would be over 1200 skeletons to fight! Humph, no matter if the skeletons are as strong as wave one it’ll be easy!’
Raising up from their graves again the skeletons rushed at group one and with her eyesight the fan maiden caught another detail, ‘It’s hard to notice, but I can see that their armor and weapons are a bit better than wave one! Does this mean we’ll be fighting better and better skeletons as the waves progress? What other shenanigans do those so-called necromancers have up their sleeves?!’
As agreed before they switched with group two who started slaughtering skeletons with ease, the leaders in killing were the twins Luna and Sol along with the brown-haired fellow. It surprised the fan maiden that the little girl who wanted to kill everyone was so skilled.
Despite giving off the waves of a 4th middle stage HBR expert she was releasing the battle prowess of a peak 7th stage HBR expert! The fan maidens eyes narrowed, ‘Hmph I see that little bug is pretty good, if we reach the twenty man limit I’ll have to watch out for her.’
Luna at this time wasn’t focused on what people thought of her like the fan maiden, she was grinning ear to ear smashing skeletons with her spear into bone chips. On the other hand, Sol took his time to cut the skeletons heads in half severing their magical link to their bodies.

After the ninth wave, a strange change occurred, the clock that before had only one minute to prepare for the next wave went to two minutes. Murmurs rang out between the group despite some minor wounds none of the contestants had lost their lives.
The smiling brown-haired youth eyes twitched in response, ‘Oh? Will every ten waves have an increase in time? If that is so that means with more time to rest means stronger enemies should be added as rest time is increased.’
His thoughts were on the mark on the tenth wave skeleton archers appeared, out of the three hundred skeletons one hundred of them were anchors! Their bones rattling the skeleton sword and shield users charged at the cultivators, while the archers took aim and shot arrows at them from afar not caring if their arrows would hit their allies.
Stunned by this sudden change Luna and Sol expanded their shields to block the incoming arrows covering the front of their bodies. Most of the cultivators used their own ability to block the arrows with a few being unlucky by the arrow storm and gotten hit.
In spite of the sudden the attack only one person was wounded badly being struck with three arrows in her body and had to retreat back to the line to drink a tier two potion to recover. Jumping into the fray Luna eyes turned crimson entering alone in the backlines started smashing into the area of anchors, Sol followed behind talking out any skeletons with swords following them.
With just the two of them they destroyed at least sixty skeletons together, on the other hand, the brown-haired youth had only had destroyed about twenty-five skeletons by the time the wave had finished.
The clock had reset back to two minutes of time and at this moment Gorac spoke up, “We need to make some stone walls so we don’t get pelted by those damn arrows! Those who know barrier techniques come forth! We need walls to defend ourselves from the archers! Do we have any earth mages? And if we have any fire and water mages that’ll be most welcome!”
Six men and women stepped up in front of Gorac, two were earth mages, two water mages, one fire mage, and the last was a barrier mage. Gorac opened his eyes wide he didn’t expect a rare mage such as a barrier mage, but he soon got over his shock and opened his cube and retrieved some colorful stones.
“I’ll create metal pillars for you Earth users to reinforce them and create six walls and six openings. Next water and fire users I want you to strengthen the walls to stone! Barrier Girl I want you covering the top with a formation! If you run out of energy come back to me and use one of these muju stones to recover your mana!”
…
Watching the ants below them start to construct fortifications the necromancer brother Zom looked down with amusement, “So now they build walls for defense? Humph! What idiots do they think they will have time to do such a thing?!”
Cuddling with his teddy bear Bie floated nearby tilting his head to the side, “Brother when can I send out my creations?”
“Ah, you mean ‘those’ things? Don’t worry little brother I’ve already entered them into the system, that old fart was so kind to allow as to mess with the settings since some of the ‘high profile’ targets are in this batch! We should get some good data from this experiment!”
“Yey~!”, Raising the teddybears hands up in the air Bie expressed a slight amount of emotion.
