Scene 4 - Legendary City of Metal, Talhaearn!
*cough*
The old man choked on his liquor before exclaiming, "H-How does a brat like you know the name of this blade?!"
Of course, the fat man would be shocked only he and his bastard of a master knew about this blade's name! Long ago his master told him thar he had stumbled upon the blade by chance while walking through a discarded forest. A blade so weird and unusual structure that looked like it would break in single exchange! It merely sat on his shop walls as a decoration as a reminder to himself not to make shit weapons.
Even other customers never gave the sword a second glance towards this flimsy blade of green. Although not many people visited the shop in the first place for it to really matter… He really did need to redo the shop's exterior he was just too lazy to do so… Anyways who would want a blade full of holes? When people could a better hard blade that was more stable than this weird blade, would seem to break on the slightest impact.
Many a time the fat man had thought of throwing the blade out and put a better piece on the wall only to remember his master words before he left.
“Ah, my fat apprentice your master is off to adventure again! Keep watch of the shop and remember to keep that blade on the wall. If someone ever guesses the blades name sell that accursed item to them for free immediately! No exceptions!”
The fat man laughed long and hard seeing his chance to get rid of this cursed blade; making his long beard shift up and down atop his fat stomach. It made the three siblings weirded out making them inch back closer to the door startling the short man, 'If this smuck leaves who knows when the next one will through these doors! I’d be stuck with this shitty sword for the rest of my life at this rate!'
“Take the sword young one since ye have heard its song it is destined for ye!”, In a hurry, the short man sent the sword to Ren with a flick of the wrist, in which Ren caught the sword instinctively. As soon as he touched the sword Ren could feel a gentle aura in the blade that made his mind feel clear.
Ren bowed towards the short man he and then strapped it on his belt, after all since he hadn't bonded with the sword to resize it. Vince tilted his head slightly trying to understand why the short man would just give Ren the sword.
On the other the hand Xue felt a hazy feeling in her borrowed memories; the sword seemed familiar, yet strangely foreign. Despite that Xue felt genuinely entranced by the familiar swords’ weird design intriguing her curiosity.
She then spoke to the short man, “Senior how was this blade made? Did you make it? Or did it come from the land of smiths the free country of Talhaearn?” Her eyes shined despite the fragments she could give a vague guess where the sword originated from.

The fat man focused his eyesight on Xue hiding his joy to get rid of such a crap blade, “Oh? Ye know about the holy land of smiths Talhaearn? Aye, it may have come from that place or maybe not? Truth be told even thy master does not know the origin of the blade with its... Unique design. But an eccentric from the holy land of us smiths might have forged the blade though I wouldn’t know anything bout dat. Only accomplished smiths are allowed into the cities library of semantics. Is the little lassie interested in the trade of being a Smith?”
When asked the hammer connected to her screamed in anticipation full of excitement wishing to forge weapons of war once again! The question provoked her blood into boiling making her hands subconsciously itch wanting to wield fire and shape metal!
In midst of such emotions, Xue's eyes turned wide, she had never felt this way before about smiting never once in her life. Why was it now that her body was craving a good forge to wrestle metals unknown to test her skill!?
Although surprising to her, she didn’t refuse these sudden thoughts that came from her hammer since it was interesting, ‘Is smiting really that fun? I wanna try it now…’
She nodded slowly in affirmation.
Seeing Xue nod her head the fat man smiled; even if he couldn’t see her eye face and a girl he didn’t mind.Throughout the years of recorded history, there have been women smiths that have become legendary for they had overpowering talent! Only that their numbers were few, after all which girl even if they have monstrous talent would want to spend her life in a forge when she could just be pampered by her man?
The fat man laughed, “Haha! That's the spirit! If you plan on learning how to Smith then the best place would be the sectless sect!”
Xue was a little surprised about this; she just nodded in agreement, “Many thanks, I shall check it out when I go there.”
The three departed saying their goodbyes to the short man and then resumed spending the rest of the day exploring the Makuo District. When they went home they learned that Sol had woken up and that Dela had run away blushing madly. Luna's eyes narrowed at her brother she was suspicious of her brother doing something to Dela.
At this point and with Sol being too dense had a questioning face, all he had said was that she would make someone a great wife in the future what was wrong with that?
The siblings sighed until it wasn’t until Ren whispered to Sol what his words meant in simple terms. At first, Sol was calm then after thinking about Ren’s words, he faces blushed bright red with steam coming from his head, “That means now I have to… to marry her!?!?”
Ren and the rest were about to say something until they saw Sol’s eyes shining, “That means I can eat bread whenever I want! Ha-ha!”
The siblings didn’t what to think, this little brat… Is all he cares about is food? Shutting their mouths together they left the sparkled eyed Sol to his bread fantasies to cultivate on their beds.
Sol thought to himself seeing his siblings' reactions asked himself, ‘Did I say something wrong?’, although he didn't think too much about it and went back to sleep he body still felt heavy despite recovering to ask.
As the nine cultivated the night quickly passed by and on the sixth day, a day before the examination began the siblings ran into trouble…
