Chapter 13- Scene 1 - Entering Sanou City!

Nena thought to herself and said, “They all fought hard? And they are all really strong!”

Master Mo smiled wryly, “That’s not the point Nena. The point is that you don’t have memories from your weapon like they do. Which means even if you have monstrous talent, you must strive to work harder than the rest of them or they will leave you behind! You don’t want that, right?”

Nena shook her head fiercely, her mind filled with determination, ‘I don’t want to be left alone again! I must work harder!’

Nena bowed to her master and swore, “Disciple will work harder!”

Master Mo nodded. He had seen countless geniuses waste their talents, becoming nothings that were easily surpassed by those with lesser talents. Judging from how the other eight dotted upon her, he feared Nena would become one of those nameless talents that didn't live up to their abilities. He would have to tell her siblings to let her grow up as a person, lest she became a spoiled princess.

After resting a day, the siblings broke through the last wall of the first realm cultivation, entering the second rank. Thick black goo was expelled from their bodies, making them smell worse than the slums.

From now on it would take them longer and longer to rank up, even if they could now refine energy with ease.

On the next day, Master Mo called the nine siblings to the bow of the ship. Having already grown familiar with the place, it didn't take long for the siblings to arrive

Entering through a massive door, the siblings found many black robed men and women controlling a formation that piloted the ship.

Master Mo was too busy to do it himself, so he gave his trusted friend Merrick control. So even though the formation looked impressive, Merrick was still in charge. The people in black robes only controlled minor things, like upkeep and speed, all the little things needed to make sure the ship was in tip top shape. Or at least, that's what it should have been. All Merrick really did was plot out the ship's course, shoving all his duties onto those in black robes so he could continue tinkering...

Master Mo and Marley were staring out of the massive windows when the siblings arrived. Master Mo, noticing them approaching, turned around and smiled, “Come, my disciples, gaze upon the place you shall call home.”

The siblings walked up to the window just in time to see parting clouds reveal a massive mountain range that stretched over ten thousand kilometers.

The mountain range was strange in that the outer reaches were nothing more than hills. While the deeper you went in the hills got taller and more spaced out, causing them to appear like ripples. Forests and lakes spread around the openings; there was even a wide river running through the valleys, connecting the surrounding lakes. Further inside in the mountain range, the top of the mountains were tall enough to vanish within the clouds!

Countless buildings and immortal caves were scattered around the outer layer of the mountain range. To the west, about 100 km out, there was even a lively city named Sanou that covered 200 km alone!

To the east was a scared, torn land that was rocky with mountains that stretched on endlessly. Numerous deep pits and traps covered the area, and wild beasts roamed throughout.

To the south, if they could see it, was a vast ocean of trees that were larger than three grown men. A huge elder tree grew in the midst of the forest.

And to the north that was blocked by the cluster of mountains, spanning a large grassland filled with farmers and other country folk.

Connecting all these places to the mountain range were four long dirt roads.

Surrounding the mountain range were powerful restrictive spells, making so that no one without a seal of approval would be able to enter unless they passed through one of the four doorways. The only way was to enter within the four doorways that were ninety feet long and forty feet wide.

Master Mo saw how all of their eyes were glittering and coughed, “You remember what I said before, right? My disciples.”

The siblings snapped out of their stupor and nodded, all speaking in unison, “Disciples will try their best in the exams!”

Master Mo nodded as a sect master he couldn’t coddle the nine; therefore he would make them work their way up within the sect.

With Master Mo’s order, the ship moved away from the Sect, advancing towards the city and landing three km out on the city outskirts. The siblings had already changed out of their blue robes and into ordinary clothes.

Master Mo had given each of them a total of 100 blue gold coins to use in the city while they waited for the trial to start.

The siblings almost fainted from the vast amount of money held within their hands. Heavens! With the much money, they could easily feed themselves for four to five years!

To make sure the nine didn’t get into any unseen trouble, Marley went with them as a chaperone hidden in the shadows.

Though Master Mo didn’t tell them this bit.

After dropping the siblings off, he reminded them to not be late and to take the Lizard’s Express to the sect a week from now.

He even gave Vince a small medal and told him to show this to the Lizard Master, who will know what it means.
