:: Dear Diary… Nello is surely amazing. His nose, his armored body, he is capable of taking on large class enemies without dealing too much damage to himself. And in the past battle, he also doubled as moving cover for me whenever I had to snipe the enemy across open ground. I deduced, that he would be suitable in open terrain heavy combat. With his nose, he could essentially vaporize even a Lv 20 Manticore with a single shot. A feat a Lv 30 Archmage could never hope to accomplish. Also, no soldier could ever get to me if I were to hide inside of Nello’s belly. I’m proud of him, and he should be proud of himself. He always kept saying he was weak compared to the other tanks back in Stalingrad, but you know what Diary. He’s the only tank here in this world and my favourite tank. He’s the best there is! ::

<< You have equipped yourself with Nello's ????? >> << You are not proficient with this weapon. You have Disadvantage in your next Attack. >>
“…Nello. What do you call this weapon you wave around as your eye?”
“Oh. The one you’re touching. The mechanics call it a Degtyaryov (DT) Machine Gun. It’s usually deployed in the Eastern Front and used by soldiers, but they thought it was a good idea to install it in my head. Isn’t it neat?”
“Your nose is better.”
“…I’m not sure if I should be happy or hurt, Big Sis. M-my eyes is my favourite part of my body! It's the least loudest!”
Pastrache let out a small sigh as she investigate the new onboard weapon inside of Nello’s head. Like he mentioned, she was gripping onto the handle of a DT Machine gun, best used as anti-infantry defense. A tank carried a primary cannon as is main offensive weapon, but as she recognized the reload between each shot was lengthy despite being within a 2 minute time frame.
If she thought about it, if Nello did take out a giant ogre, a swarm of orcs and gobins could essentially dog pile him. So it would make sense he had this secondary weapon to prevent the enemy from overwhelming him.
“…Um…how does it work?”
“Oh you have to be careful with it, Big Sis. Normally I use it on automatic, but because you’re inside I turned on the safety already. So even if you did bump the controls it won’t shoot until you unlock it.”
“So... How do I remove this safety feature and how do I shoot it.”
“Are you sure you want to learn? I mean, I could protect you with it by myself.”
Pastrache smiled, not to tease him or to make fun of him, but out of appreciation.
“Nello. I’m a big girl, and a full-fledged Adventurer. It’s my duty to use my own strength and abilities to help and protect people I work along side with and those who ask for our assistance. I would look bad if I keep using Nello as my shield.”
“… I don’t mind.”
Pastrache buckled in her seat, as if she experienced a fainting spell. The way the voice of a young boy inside the tank and his innocence literally made her swoon. Like a fluffy puppy raising its paw... You know that 'HNNNNNNG' moment.
“Pant Pant Pant…N-Nello is such a good boy~♥.”
“Thank you!...Um…Big Sis, why are you breathing so hard.”
“Cough. You saw nothing. You heard nothing. You didn’t even wake up this morning.”
“……………………………Okay…”
Not sure what was the philosophy behind that quote, the T-34 obediently shut up. He waited until Pastrache recollected herself before she spoke in a half-steady half-shaky voice.
“We—Ahem, ahem. We should work together. I shouldn’t be manipulating you to my advantage. We’re a team! A cohesive unit! I would be ashamed if we didn’t work together like a true Adventuring Party!”
“…Whose birthday is it?”
“…Nello.”
“Oh Sorry. I’ll be quiet. Nn.”
“…Also… I feel very bad. Because of how useless I am in most scenarios, I always end up leaving the messy stuff to you and that’s not fair to you, Nello.”
“………………”
“That’s why, I want to spend this day learning everything about you. The way you fight, your limitations. With my knowledge of this world and its enemies, I could come up with a strategy so you won’t be overburdened or become exhausted after a serious fight. Also, you could only go so fast, there are other creatures that have a landspeed greater than yours, Nello.”
“…………………………………………”
“… Big Sis is done talking now. Good boy.”
“Puwaaaah! I-I’m sorry, I-I was holding my breath to keep myself from interrupting Big Sis!”
The T-34 Tank gave this awkward gasp as his cannon flopped to the ground in exhaustion. It had no lungs nor did it have the need for it, yet it still panted like a man who ran 26 miles. Yikes.
“…Okay Big Sis! I understand what you want! And I’ll help you! Want to learn how to use the machine gun!?”
“Yes! Yes! Yes!”
“Alright! Let’s do it!”
The Half-Elf was literally hopping in the side gunner seat with a strangely high enthusiasm level. She was even more giddy than a child on Christmas Eve. All because the tank was going to give her a tutorial on how to use the anti-infantry heavy machine gun.

The best way to describe it without sounding insulting, was how it looked like a metal broomstick with a dedicated trashcan lid on top. This was in laymen terms.
Looking more closely, it was a thin bodied machine gun that was narrower than a regular M4 Carbine Assault Rifle or the popular modernized AK-47. It was no bigger than a long metal pipe with a hand-carved wooden stock to brace the recoil. On top of the body, above the trigger, was this circular metal discus. Believe it or not, that was where the ammunition was stored inside. We’ll get to how the science works, later.
“What’s the first step?”
“Do you see the switch on the left side of the gun, Big Sis? Flip it down, by one notch. If the dial is levelled over the red square, it means it’s locked. If it’s pointed down at a small single white line, it means it’s on single shot.”
“And the one with multiple white lines.”
“Oh that’s the fully automatic mode for rapid fire.”
A certain Half-Elf’s beautiful thumb flicked the arrow all the way to those stack of white lines without saying anything.
“Ahem. Okay. Now what?”
“On the right side, th-there should be this kind of level. Pull back on it until you hear a brass tinking.”
Pastrache nodded and followed the instructions. She searched for this numb of a lever that the tank mentioned and soon found it. It was no bigger than the top digit of her pinky. Curiously, she slide it slowly all the way back. She then heard that familiar, KER-CHINK sound, the same one she often heard from her Mosin-Nagant rifle that Nello gave her.
“I think it’s loaded…But if I run out of bullets like the rifle, how do I reload?”
“Oh don’t worry about it Big Sis. This gun has a maximum of 60 rounds per charge, so it you won’t have to reload as fast as the Mosin-Nagant. But since I’m a new kind of tank reborn in your world, the pretty lady with scary eyes gave me this skill to automatically regenerate bullets into the clip, so I don’t need someone to do it manually for me.”
“Th-that’s amazing!? A-auto-reload and-and 60 bullets in a box!?”
“…Yes…D-did I say it wrong?”
“P-please continue, Nello!”
Pastrache said that in a tone as if to suggest she wanted to get to the shooting part, not to apologize for interrupting.
“I-it’s mostly used to scare off or hit soldiers who try and attack the crew. It’s very messy when I use it on soft targets, but it’s useless if the enemy is armored like a German Panzer tank.”
“Yes, yes. Go on.”
“So, it’s super effective to make sure no one steps on me.”
“Yes, I understand. Now tell me where is the command console.”
“Command Console? I don’t think I have that.”
“No, no. The trigger! Th-the trigger like I use on the rifle! Where is it?”
"... Um... it should be similar to the Mosin-Nagant. You know, where you normally pull the trigg--

“Nyaaaghhg! B-Big Sis! I-I wasn’t ready for that yeeeeeeeet!”
The T-34 screamed like a little boy as he saw his ‘eye’ starting blasting a laser like stream of high-piercing bullets. They flew all over the air, ripping open the green earth, gutting open a tree, to even clapping big waves of water from the nearby duck pond. If Nello’s scream didn’t make them flinch, those flying bullets did.
For those of you were support animal rights, do not worry, not a single duck was harmed in the making of this test fire. Or else, PETA will have a field day (*Bunny narrator shudder*)
*RA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA! RA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA-TA! RA-TA-TA-TA! RA-TA-----CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK-CLICK…*
What was originally a laser beam of bullets flying in every direction from the turret head of the tank, suddenly choked up and coughed nothing but thick smoke and empty clicking sounds. The tank could be found shaking at every ticking sound the spent gun was making, the silent barrel of the machine gun moving as if wanting to shoot some more.
“…...................................................……Big Sis? A-are you okay?”
“………………………………Aauh.”
The Half-Elf sitting in the gunner seat of the T-34 Soviet Tank was shaking.
Her hands were still gripping the handle of the DT Machine gun, her finger still squeezing the trigger despite the fact nothing was shooting out of the barrel anymore. It was as if she still believed this invisible enemy was still charging at her despite taking all 60 bullets into his gut.
Despite the clicking and nothing else happening, It never once dawned on her she ran out of ammunition already.
OR---she still had her ears covered by that pair of pink fluffy ear muffs one oculd get from the local Dollar Star on a Winter Sales.
“…..Big Sis? A-are you there? Say something.”
“Do it again.”
“…Ahh!?”
Pastrache threw off her ear warmers from her pointed earlobes and looked up at her friend she was sitting inside of.
A dangerous light sparkled in her beautiful blue eyes.
“Nello! Th-that was so cool! I want to do it again☆! Quick! Reload! Reload!”
“W-wait! B-Big Sis! I-I may have an Automatic R-Reload function now, b-but it needs a recharge cycle! L-like refilling my battery pack! I-I can’t force the wait timer to-to go any faster!”
“You don’t understand! I-I need to fire this weapon some more! Th-there is something oddly satisfying and ecstatic in using this ridiculously overpowered weapon☆! Wh-why, just hearing it sing makes me want to charge straight up to a Demon king’s castle and go directly for the epic boss fight!”
“G-gegh!? N-now!?”
“…F**k it, let’s do it! To Drakengard Castle, YEEEEEHAAAAAAAW!”
“Nyaggg!? Wh-when did Big Sis transform into an-an American Soldier! No! no! D-don’t suddenly take control of my driving pistooooooons!”
To make sure everyone properly cooled down, Nello was forced (or by accident) to drive into the pond with a huge splash.
And just when the Maple Mallards thought they got settled in – they pull them back out!
