64 and 72 were beginning to think that their target would never let his guard down but a surprise visitor was helping create a lot of distraction. They followed their target all the way from Suriana without being detected once. It wasn’t something that hard for them as they were specially bred nagas, half-human half-snake people, specially made to let them use their scales to camouflage themselves, basically becoming invisible with little magic involved. Their target was Hekto, the giant Rhinoman, the father of Katia. Someone really didn’t like the man and put a bounty on his head that fell on the lap of their organization and they were the ones available for the job.
A frontal fight was out of the question so if they couldn’t finish him in one blow or at max two they had to flee and wait for another opportunity.
“Katia!” Mia shouted as she ran after Katia, outside the mansion.
“You will never catch me!” Katia shouted in panic, sounding more like she was having fun.
“For someone that said she didn’t want any of this she is having a lot of fun.” Kretia said.
“I guess she is exercising. She could barely run around the house and now she has been at it for a few minutes.” Hekto commented about his daughter as both him and his wife sat near the garden, drinking what looked to be juice.
64 and 72, seeing that the couple was distracted with the younglings, began to slowly encroach behind them. When they got close enough, they took their poisoned daggers out and got ready to strike both. No reason to leave someone to sow panic. The kids will take a while to notice what happened anyway.

Katia didn’t know what she was doing anymore. She always saw herself as level-headed, calm, collected and not prone to panic but here she was, running from Mia like a little girl that was approached by a cockroach.
If there was one thing she was happy with, it was that she could beat Mia physically. She felt like she could run for a little while more but she could see that Mia was beginning to slow down.
“Katia, I am not going to do anything to you! I want to talk!” Mia said between dashed around the mansion.
“I am not going to let you do anything to me!” Katia shouted in response, barely thinking about what she was hearing or saying.
Suddenly, Mia began to gain speed, Katia could feel mana from her. Looking around she saw that her family was near the garden so she would use them as cover to lose Mia.
She ran towards her father, jumping on top of him and then over him. He was very tough so he didn’t feel anything. Once she landed behind him, she looked over the direction she came from to see where she should run to but once she saw Mia, she froze, she shouldn’t have ran.
Mia was on fire, literally, projecting two javelins of fire in her direction and ready to fire at her. She could see it, her face showed it, she was ready to kill. Katia couldn’t do anything, she had to accept that she was going to die.
“I miss grandma…” Katia said as the janelins began to travel in her and her family’s direction.

64 and 72 looked in astonishment as the daughter or their target jumped in front of them, to take cover in her little game with the human girl. They didn’t really have to do it but now they had to kill 4 people so things were clean.
The moment they looked at Mia they got stunned for a second, the girl was rocketing towards them and was also on fire. They didn’t know what was happening but they were in the way of the girl. They readied their daggers but the moment they were coming down, two javelins of fire formed in front of the girl and shot towards them.
Not for a single moment they thought that those things would deal any damage. Kids might be able to use magic but they were trained and had various protections. A single weak spell wouldn’t even stop their invisibility. Then 64 head exploded once the javelin hit him and 72 was impaled in the shoulder, revealing itself.
“AHRGH!” 72 shouted as he felt the fire inside him.
—
“What in mana's name is this!?” Hekto shouted as he saw two fire projectiles fly above him and his wife, hitting something behind him that wasn’t his daughter and someone shouting in pain.
“Assassins!” Kretia shouted the moment she saw the nagas.
“Mia’s is going to kill us!” Katia shouted in panic, not even registering that someone died near her and another was in the process of doing that.
Before anyone could really move, Mia flew over them and landed on top of the naga still alive.
“WHO SENT YOU!?” Mia shouted as she stomped on the chest of naga.
“Demon spawn! The Hydra will have your head!” 72 said in anger.
“Is that your organization!?” Mia asked, holding the naga by her clothes.
“You may have cut two heads but four more will grow and hunt you! The Hydra always gets its prey!” 72 said, almost laughing. There was a myth in their organization that the loyal would be reborn stronger. He truly believed it so he would make sure to instill fear in the girl so he could hunt her in the future.
Katia was the first one to notice what was about to happen and tried to get away from there along with her parents but once Mia’s flames began to turn green, nobody could move a muscle.
“Nobody I like will be killed! Nobody I like will die again because of me! NOBODY! NOBODY!” Mia began to say, then shout as if she was both angry and sad. She put her hands on the neck of the naga and from there began to burn it with her green flames. The screams of the naga were haunting everyone that was not Mia. The naga looked at Mia’s eyes as it was dying and it felt like it made the greatest mistake of its existence. “DIE! DIE! DIE!” Mia shouted in anger as she transformed the naga into nothing. Not even the ashes remained after a few minutes.
The fire died down and silence was all there was for a minute or two. Then suddenly, Mia began to cry.
Nobody knew what was happening but Katia was the only one that had some experience with the sensation of Mia wanting to kill something so she was the first one to move. She wanted to just leave but her fear of losing her family was greater at that moment.
“Mia, are you alright?” Katia asked after tapping Mia in the shoulder.
“I’m sorry, it’s all my fault!” Mia said between sobs and cries. Katia could see that Mia was a mess.
“What?” Katia asked in confusion.
“I am weak! They take from the weak! I will get stronger and protect you! I love my friends! You are my friend!” Mia said between sobs and cries for a few minutes.
Katia looked at Mia and all the fear she had transformed into something else. Like anyone normal, she feared Mia on an instinctual level, but now? What she feared most was what Mia would do if anyone she liked got attacked. She really thinks that the world is on her shoulders. Why Am I so afraid of someone who fears me so much? Katia thought to herself. She gave Mia a hug that seemed to extinguish the aura of death Mia was producing. An idea formed in Katia's head about what she had to do but first came Mia.
