After reassuring every member of her family that she was alive, happy and sorry for what she did, they all along with a few new faces, at least to Mia, were surrounding her bed as an Old Man began to check the condition of her body.
“Sir, any reason why I can't feel any strength coming from my body?” Mia asked, trying to figure out why she felt so weak. Also, hoping that the way she was speaking now wasn't too different from before. She can't really compare how she used to speak before to now since for her it was always the same even if she knew that it probably wasn't.
“Jin will do little girl. As for why you feel like shit, it's because right now you are a hair away from dying.” The old man who identified himself as Jin said.
“What do you mean? That's not what you promised. Is that how much all I did worth to you? You...” Liza started to rant but was soon cut off by the man.
“Liza, calm yourself down. You will scare the girl and we can't have that.” Jin said while pointing to Mia. Liza noticed that Mia was in fact beginning to get a little worried and became quiet. “As I was saying, Mia was it? You are a hair's away from death. I know the healing arts but that doesn't make me an expert. All I could do is make sure you would be able to live so you can choose what you want to do.” Jin explained.
“What do you mean?” More than one voice asked.
“The only way to save the girl is for her to come to the capital with me and enroll in the academy so our resident healer can take care of her. As far as I am aware she is the only person in acceptable distance that can completely cure the girl.” Jin explained in a serious tone.
“Like, going to school? I heard someone saying something about a place you would go to learn stuff. It's that?” Mia asked, trying to not give away that she knew what a school was, since most people learned from their parents the stuff one would expect to learn from a school in her old life.
“No. It's a military academy. If you join, you will become a soldier in training for the kingdom and we expect you to be good.” Jin explained again in a very serious tone.
“Why can't you just take her there and then bring her back when it is all done?” Liza asked, a little angry.
“Because those are the rules and I am not strong enough to ignore the rules yet. Also, if she enters that place, she will either leave as a soldier or as a bigger cripple than she is now.” He said looking at Mia seriously.
“You!” Liza tried to say but Mia stopped her with a question.
“Can my family go with me?” Mia asked.
“They are coming either way girl. The question is if you enter the academy or not.”
“What?”
“Your father did something either really stupid or really noble, only the future will tell which. He can't stay here anymore, this place will be too fragile for him now.”

“So, when we going? Also, I want to be healed.”
“Mia, you don't need to choose now, you can think a little more. Even if you can't do the stuff you did before we will help the best we can until you can get back to normal or as close as that.” Marry said with everyone in the family nodding in agreement.
“It's ok mom. If you don't want me becoming a soldier I will just run away after I am healed. I noticed I am really good at it.” Mia said half sarcastically, half depressingly.
“Oh you Mia...!” Marry said a little angry while hugging Mia affectionately.
“Hahaha. Girl, if you manage to hide from the people they would send after you for even a hour I will eat my shoes.” Jin said.
Sadly for Jin, this would happen really soon. Shame he didn't know.
“You heard the girl. I will come back in two days. I will be able to transport everything besides the house so I suggest you sell it or give it to someone you trust. I am not saying that you can never come back here but I don't think you will for a good while.” Jin said.
Mia's Family nodded and most of them began to prepare. Marry and Liza stayed in the room to look after Mia.
The next two days went in a flash. Huang got the word out that he would have to leave the town to help his daughter in the capital and it is very probable that he will never come back. A good number of people were saddened by the information but they understood why. Pretty much everyone in the town knows about how Huang killed the demon but only those present knew about Mia so the word about her didn't spread too much.
Mia for her part did what sick people did best, received care and allowed people in her presence. A few of her friends came to visit her, some sad that she was leaving and others to congratulate her for some reason that not even they knew.
The hardest part of her days was going to the bathroom of all things. She could barely move herself so a woman in the house would always have to pretty much do everything for her and with her mind still processing the new her it was more than a little uncomfortable. At least receiving a bath was a better experience than she remembered.
Two days later Jin came back with two big carriages along with some horses that emanated energy. Huang sold his house to a guard that was going to marry for a price a little cheaper than normal on the promise that he and his family would take a really good care of the house and sell it back to him if he ever came back.
Jin used some backs, chests and rings to suck everything Mia's family owned and store in some sort of pocket dimension before guiding the family to their carriages. Mia, Marry, Lin and Liza were on the first carriage. Huang would stay outside along with Jin to protect them if necessary. The second carriage was filled with Choi, Kai, Elara and Mei where on the second carriage that would follow the first without anyone guiding it. Onyx would follow the carriage by foot. Elara was a new face to Mia but Choi quickly explained that she joined the search for her some time ago and they kind of hit off.
Elara didn't have any family and was surviving on the hunting skills her family taught her before they died. Some people would think she is some sort of gold digger, taking advantage of the fact that Choi was going to live in the capital now and use that chance to level up in life but Choi assured that she was not that kind of woman and that their feelings were mutual. Nothing seems to contradict what he is saying and it's not like it takes years of courting before marriage is this world Mia thought to herself once she heard the story. The only thing that came to mind to Mia about Elara is how plain she was. Besides her Red hair she was so basic appearance wise. She was a mix of west and east to an extent that besides that you couldn't really pin some sort of ethnicity on her.
Once they were all loaded, the carriages left the town. A good number of people came to see the departure, almost like a procession before a war. That was the last good thing Mia had to think about his whole trip, because the next month was going to have a hell like she never experienced in any of her lives.
