The small scene with Cassandra was strangely ignored by most people. Something would come of that but it looked like people really didn’t care.
“Your son is quite the young man. Is the academy really that good or does he get some additional training?” A noble from outside Azuria asked Kazik, Mathias’ father.
“The academy did help but I trained him personally ever since I could.” Kazik said, eating a piece of the chocolate he received soon after.
“You are a knight, right? Your son seems to have a bright future in knighthood.” The noble said.
“Well, he either does that or dies trying. I can always make another kid if he doesn’t turn out alright.” Kazik said half-joking, looking straight at Mathias who was somewhat near him.
“Hey, do you have any chocolate left?” Mia asked as she walked near someone she recognized.
“Sure, here. Don’t have much of a sweet tooth.” Kazik said as he gave Mia one piece of chocolate.
“Thanks.” Mia said before continuing to walk around the party.
“Mathias, relax…” Narissa said to Mathias, grabbing his arm a little more tightly as they walked around the party.
“Can’t, my dad is talking about giving me a brother.”
“Your sister will get a little lonely after you leave the house, right? Isn’t that a good thing?”
“My sister is spoiled like you can’t imagine. I can’t imagine her not being the center of my family’s attention.”
“I only had contact with her a few times, she doesn’t seem all that bad.”
“She is dad’s little princess. Sincerely, I am astonished how she doesn’t show her true self in public.”
“Studying outside of the academy is way less stressful so maybe that's why.”
“Not like she is not trying to get in.”
“Well, let’s ignore that for now. We have to show ourselves to these people.”
“Yeah, yeah, ma’am…”

Shishen was on the job. It was a given that she was going to be Narissa’s bridesmaid but even she didn’t know how that would become a job in itself. She now regularly dealt with the less savory side of society but that was way easier, at least mentally, to dealing with the amount of wedding crashers in the making she was now. Her master explained one thing to her that she only now understood. ‘Good men are never alone.’ Well, Mathias was always considered a good prospect but now that he was fully engaged, everyone wanted him.
“Hello, Miss. I hope that you are not planning on gifting that drink to the new couple or we might have a problem and let me explain something, I only deal with problems once!” Shishen whispered to a foreign noble, no older than 20, in a very threatening tone. The woman had spiked drinks with aphrodisiacs and poison respectively, courtesy of her maid who she gave full instructions to acquire said items as well an explanation on how she would use them to steal Mathia’s away from Narissa.
“I wouldn’t do anything that would cause problems in another nation, Miss…!” The woman said, clearly afraid.
“Then you don’t mind drinking it, do you?”
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“I…Erm…Uhmmm…”
“I thought so. There won’t be a next time, now scram.” Shishen said, taking both glasses and drinking it in one go each. She then quickly healed herself and continued with her job.
The woman quickly moved away, clearly in panic.
“Why can’t these people understand that it is losing battle?” Shishen said as she walked around. On the corner of her eye she saw Mia receiving chocolate from someone and quickly went towards her.
“Hello again! Do you have any chocolate?” Mia happily asked as she was hugged by Shishen.
“Of course, but if you want some of it I need your help. First, hug me more!” Shishen said as she let Mia hug her hader. Mia was adorable and it took a lot of willpower to not just hug her all the time, especially if you knew she let you. “Ok, now, I need you to deal with someone I can’t.” She said, giving Mia a few pieces of chocolate.
“What do I need to do?”
“You see that girl? She is the daughter of a Duke from another kingdom and she is trying to seduce Mathias. I can’t directly do anything to her so I need you to go there and scare her a little and ONLY that!” Shishen said to Mia in a way that only she would hear.
“...Ok, I can do that.” Mia said as she munched down her chocolate and went towards the teenager pointed by Shishen.
“Hello young lady. You are Mia, aren’t you? My dad commented about you.” The girl said as she noticed Mia approaching her.
“I was expecting someone scarier, she is so cute! I want one!” Another girl jokes. A few more girls in the small group said something similar.
“Hey Miss, someone told me to tell you something, can I whisper it to you?” Mia said innocently.
“What is it?” The girl curiously leaned down a little so Mia could whisper in her ear.
“If you make my friend sad because you stole her fiance there won’t be anything left of you for people to be sad about.” Mia whispered to the girl who tried to jump back upon hearing those words. Mia grabbed her and looked her straight in the eye to show that she was serious. The young noble almost peed herself upon looking her gaze on Mia.
“I-I-I understand. I will stop and I will make those I can stop too…” The girl said, surprisingly managing to hide her fear.
“Thank you, now, your chocolate!” Mia said with an evil grin. The girls there happily gave Mia a few pieces of chocolate, not all for the same reason.
Shishen looked from a distance in disbelief, not knowing if she should be afraid of laughing at the situation. Shishen now knew that Nardia hated Azuria and Mia killing the daughter of one of their dukes might be what started a war.

“Quite the party for a pair of students.” A representative from Razan said.
“We might have to keep an eye on them.” A noble from a kingdom way north of Azuria said. It was pure happenstance that made him find himself in the kingdom and even more the fact that a friend needed an escort.
“...Not from around here I suppose? Must have come from really far away to this party.” The man from Razan said.
“I am merely the escort of an old friend, I am more a simple merchant than a noble these days so I don’t keep up with politics of places that I don’t plan to stay long.” The noble explained.
“Those two are part of an elite group of students in the Blue Flame Military Academy. The simple fact they are together is already a big enough thing but they are also friends with the girl that killed an immortal. It is in everyone’s best interest to become their friends, at least on the surface.”
“I heard something about that. Didn’t really think it was true.”
“Oh, it is true. We have a knight from Armis that will attest that the girl is as strong as people are saying she is. I also saw her fighting, it was…something else.”
“But it is not like the girl will do anything to people that do the new couple wrong, right?”
“I will bathe in the blood of anyone who does anything wrong to them on purpose.” Mia said, suddenly appearing near the two men.
“Ah!” The noble shouted in surprise.
“Do you have any chocolate left?”
“Here, take the rest of mine.” The man from Razan said.
“Thanks.” Mia said before moving on.
“What was that? She just appeared!?” The noble asked.
“Just feed her and tell her nice things. I was told that it usually works.” The man from Razam said calmly.
“Like a cat?”
“And a dog that is also a dragon in disguise.”
“How do you people manage to live like this!?”
“She likes this kingdom and mine is a close ally. As you just saw the girl will fight anything that threatens what she likes.”
“I think I need a drink…” The noble said in disbelief.
“Try the Vodka, it is very strong.”
