Frank found himself sitting in a small office alongside Maximillian and his greatest enemy, the one that stole everything he cared and pretended to care about, the white devil stealing money from him and others. Jun, the leader of the Healer Guild of Azuria.
“Thief!” Frank shouted at the man with asian features, clothed in a white and extremely clean hakama.
“Shut up, Frank! Why am I here anyway?” Jun asked Maximillian.
“We are here to prepare for the possible eventual separation of the Healer Guild and the Alchemy Guild.” Maximillian explained.
“So you are going to give this crazy idiot the chance to poison people again?” Jun said with vitrial in his voice.
“Says the one selling my potions as if it were theirs.” Frank said back.
“They are fucking Healing and Mana potions! You don’t own them!”
“No, but the method that you are using to brew said potions was created by yours truly you thief!”
“Fuck this! You want to increase the price of potions? Be my guest!” Jun said to Maximillian.
“Increase? You are a bigger asshat than I thought! You sell the most basic potions for 15 silver!” Frank shouted.
“They Cost 10 Silver to make. We need to make some profit, you shithead!”
“Then you are a bigger idiot than I thought! The cost of my potions was supposed to be around 50 copper and I know that prices didn’t change much. I could see it being around 60 now.”
“What?” Maximillian asked, really surprised.
“What are you talking about? Don’t you need a few special herbs to make the potion effective?” Jun.
“You can make those potions with grass if you follow all the steps.” Frank said, declaring victory.
“...I am going to murder someone.” Jun said, really angrily.
“Let me help. I am running out of test subjects.” Frank said.
“Mia is not a test subject.” Maximillian said.
“She eats anything you give her, like a dog. You should train her better.”
“It’s because she trusts you, you dumbwit!”
“Speaking of her, do you have any life affinity healers you can let me borrow for a week?” Frank asked Jun.
This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.
“Why?” Jun asked, confused and amused.
“I reached a point in my alchemy where I need new horizons to explore.” Frank said, clearly lying.
“He wants something to use in alchemy that my apprentice can’t, as he said, fuck up.”
“What do you mean?” Jun asked.
“That girl is not normal! Thousands of years of experimentation and study all in the trash because she says it’s inefficient!” Frank angrily said.
“Well, she isn’t wrong.” Maximillian added.
“Of course she isn’t wrong! If she had as much mana as any of us she could single handedly meet the alchemical needs of this entire kingdom in a few days!”
“So your famed apprentice can make even the Great Mad Alchemist Frank go crazy. I kind of want to meet her.” Jun said.
“Back off thief! She can’t use healing magic to save her life. Don’t waste her time.” Frank shouted.
“Yeah, the girl has a Death Aspect Body. She can only heal naturally or with copious amounts of Life Healing.”
“She could also kill things to heal herself but I don’t think there is enough of anything in the world for it to be sustainable.” Frank added.
“You know, Frank. If I could, I would have you killed just so I didn’t have to hear some things from your mouth.” Jun said angrily. He really didn’t like the idea of indiscriminate killing.
“The feeling is mutual. So, can you give me one? If it’s a good one it might just take a day or two.”
“Why do you even want a Life affinity healer?”
“I refuse to be someone’s teacher and not be better than them! She can’t interact with Life mana so once I make something using it and she can’t after it will prove my superiority!” Frank said without a hint of shame.
“Frank, she is 10.” Maximillian said.
“Not for long. Also, I was planning on giving her a Supreme Healing Potion as a present.”
“And you need a Life affinity healer to help concoct it…” Jun said.
“Yeah.”
“...You know what? Fuck this! You want to give this madman his playground, I will make things ready, I will even make sure to return the building. We are only using it as a storage facility anyway. Now, if you excuse me, I am going to deal with the people ripping my guild off.” Jun said as he got up.
“Before you go, take these.” Frank said as he took a jar of pill from his magical ring.
“What are these?”
“Flame balls. Throw it at someone and they explode, make them eat it and they will burn from the inside, unless you are Mia.”
“What do you mean?”
“Mia made those using seasoning. I have no idea how, those things weren’t supposed to be able to be used in alchemy, but you can’t really say that after using the pills.”
“What do you mean it’s different with her?”
“She is just set ablaze for a few seconds and she doesn’t burn. Found out the hard way that it only works on her like that.”
“How much for the bottle?”
“1 Silver and 50 copper.”
“Take it.” Jun said as she threw two silver coins.
Later that day an announcement was made. Various members of Healers Guild were found guilty of stealing money from the guild and the kingdom as well as various deaths caused by an artificial inflation of the price of potions.
Most were sentenced to forced labor, brewing the potions the way Frank actually intended to, but the leaders of this whole ordeal were executed using a new pill that stopped people from healing themselves if eaten in big enough quantities.
A soldier in charge also found out that if you threw those pills really hard they exploded on impact.
