Mia was a prodigy in magic. There was no discussion. The problem was that she was also the equivalent of a mad scientist but with magic instead of science. A mad mage if you will.
Usually, when Mia was about to test something, she took the necessary precautions to not hurt herself or others but when she got too excited or, like now, too focused on one thing, she ignored most possible dangers besides her death.
Mia’s plan was pretty simple all things considered. Null could probably sense if someone was using a spell so she first needed to see how good he was at it by using a spell inside of her. Should that work she will just prepare the whole spell inside of her and launch it from either her mouth or feet so it isn’t visible.
As for what she was going to do? A little trick to dispel mana. One exclusive to her that she was told to not use as it would hurt her allies as much as their enemies.
Since Mia was not bound by the limits of normal spells, she could just gather mana without really using it and if she gathered enough of it, if she just let it go, it would disrupt anything using mana until the mana was fully dispersed. The problem was that it would hurt her when she did that with any substantial amount of mana.
When everyone divided themselves, Mia stayed exactly in the middle of the way. That way she could deal with both groups at once.
Once the fight started, Mia began to gather mana inside her mouth. To her surprise, no one managed to feel it.
As Mia saw the fight happen, she couldn’t help but feel a little angry at herself. Not for any rational reason. She just wanted to be part of the fight, even if she didn’t have the skill or body for it. She forgot that she was technically 10 years old in the midst of her breakdown.

As the fight continued, Mia felt a presence near her. Not like the swords she was really hoping were magically made so her trick would work. She felt pure malice. Not bloodlust, it wasn’t a presence that wanted to kill but one that wanted to harm. It also wasn't limited to her. She could also feel the same thing around her classmates who weren’t fighting.
The only good thing about this feeling was that it was so clear that Mia could pinpoint its origin very easily. With that in mind she began to prepare a spell. One that would hit all the targets emitting the strange aura of malice that only she was feeling. She began to gather mana inside her feet as she needed to make sure Null couldn’t sense it.
A few minutes later, as the fight was coming to a close, Mia noticed that Null was beginning to gather his mana really rapidly all over himself.
Mia knew that if she used the spell she was preparing for the malicious presence after she used the ball of mana in her mouth to disperse it might be able to dodge it by sensing the magic appearing in the vacuum she was going to create so just before she released her ball of mana, she launched the spell.
From her feet what could only be described as roots of wind went through the ground and a moment later 7 stakes of air impaled various targets that Mia was feeling, one near her and the other 6 around the ones behind her. The spell was being concealed inside her feet so when she launched it, it opened a hole through it and her shoes.
Barely a moment later she shouted, both because of the pain and because she needed some form of action to launch the ball of mana from her mouth. The last thing she saw was a white flash of the ball of mana as it washed a very big area around her in a disruptive field that stopped mana from doing whatever it was doing.
Mia’s mouth was bleeding due to the amount of mana she had to compress there but before she could even scream because of the pain that damage was causing, she suddenly felt something hit the back of her head and she collapsed.
