“MIA! NO!” Narissa shouted as blood splattered on her face as she was the closest one to Mia. She tried to do something, anything but she just couldn’t move.

“AHAHAHAHAAHAH!” Zignus suddenly began to laugh as he looked at Mia. “You are either a very lucky or unlucky girl.” He said as he walked a step and appeared in front of Moon.

“Wha…!” Moon barely had time to process what happened as a fist found his way into his ribs, shattering them.

“I am a strong believer in Karma so I feel like I should punish you as well since this all started with you, didn’t it?” Zignus said to Moon, who couldn’t be bothered to listen as he was in extreme pain.

One by one, everyone in the special class was hit by Zignus. The non-combatants lost a piece of their shoulders like Narissa while the others got hit like Moon. Onyx was not spared either.

“Look at them and tell me what I should do.” Zignus asked as lifted Mia by her head and pointed her to all her classmates.

Mia, who was barely conscious, looked at the scene. All her friends were on the ground, in extreme pain and with terror in their eyes.

“Leave…My…Friends…Alone…You…Bully…!” Mia said as she tried to do her best to stay conscious even a moment more so there could be a chance someone might arrive and save them.

Part of her also just wished for death. It was pure luck along with various factors that kept her alive after the last attack she received. Zignus not wanting to use his full physical power, his mental state, the fact he was a sadistic bastard, the place where Mia was on the ground… He missed her heart by mere millimeters. Not that it didn’t do damage. She knew that she bled a lot and would not be surprised to find a puddle of her blood below her.

“Well. Let’s see if the sentiment is mutual. It is my turn anyway so let's play.” Zignus said as 3 portals suddenly appeared near him and from said portal the remaining corpses of his subordinates passed through them. A badly slashed Karin, Nex and Peddle.

“What!?” Klaws asked in the midst of the silence seeing the corpses walking on their own.

“A pretty simple game. An endurance one. All the damage you take will be sent to the little girl here so you can fight to your heart's content.” Zignus said, ignoring Klaws and using a spell on everyone.

“How do we win?” Narissa asked as she suddenly managed to move, like everyone else.

“You win if I get bored, now begin.” He said as he signaled for the corpses to attack.

Karin’s corpse was the first to move and she went straight towards Moon, who was the closest one. She didn’t use any magic, weapons or anything else to attack. She slashed Moon cheek with her nails but no damage happened, at least to him. Narissa who was near Mia suddenly saw a wound form on her face in the same place Moon was hit.

“Do not get hit!” Narissa shouted as she began to move.

Nex’s corpse was the next one to move but Klaws intercepted it hastily.

“I dealt with you before, I can do it again!” He said as he held Nex’s arms, locking him into place.

“Fuck! Take this!” Moon shouted in anger as he slashed Karin’s corpse with his sword.

“It’s just bodies. They can’t use mana. We have a chance!” Mathias shouted as he joined the fight.

A chaotic melee had started. One that Puddle’s body was not too keen on taking part for some reason.

The boys began to desperately fight the two corpses that were actively going after them while Shishen healed everyone as best as she could.

Nex’s body was plenty strong on its own so it could wrestle Klaws or anyone else to a position Karin’s corpse or Puddle’s corpse, in case the person was truly unable to counter in any way, could attack.

The girls joined the fight after being healed a little to keep Puddle away from the boys following Narissa’s instructions but everyone was still suffering small wounds from attacks they just couldn’t dodge or fully defend with the exception of Onyx who was running between the two groups and helping when possible.

In a normal situation that wouldn’t be a problem but Mia was already badly hurt so anything, no matter how small, might be too much for her. Every whimper, small cry and groan that they could hear from Mia after they received an attack sent them into a panic for a moment that usually resulted in more damage.

After a minute or so of fighting that felt like hours, Luminus managed to slash Karin’s corpse head off quickly followed by Onyx literally tearing her chest open with a tackle that somehow made her entire body just combust into pure mana and vanish once it hit the ground.

For a moment, everyone felt their morale go up a little. There was some hope in their eyes. Zignus on the other hand, had other plans.

“Well, that is one less corpse to feed. I think I can concentrate more on what is happening now.” He said casually, getting everyone's attention for just a moment. A moment that Nex’s corpse suddenly bursted with power and delivered a punch that sent everyone near him flying with the sheer wind pressure that was generated.

Various wounds and bruises appeared on Mia’s body. Everyone began to panic but couldn’t do much as Nex’s body began to suddenly emit mana and dash around at high speeds.

Everyone was punched, kicked and tossed around until they were all in a pile in front of Zignus. There, everyone could finally see Mia’s state.

She was black and blue. Multiple bruises everywhere. Her clothes were tattered, leaving her almost naked. Her chest had a hole that made it possible to see her still beating heart along with clearly broken bones of her ribs. She was also bathed in her own blood that formed a puddle below her as Zignus held her.

“See this? This is what incompetence looks like. Yours to be precise.” Zignus said to the special class, taunting them that it was their fault Mia was in that state. While the two remaining bodies walked to his side.

“You monster!” Everyone said, in some way or form.

“And you? Do you have anything to say?” He asked Mia.

“Lea…Eds…Lon…” Mia tried to say something but barely anything came out.

“Well, she is almost gone so it’s time for the end. So far she didn’t feel the pain of the damage she received, so let’s see what happens if she receives it all at once. Shall we?”

Shishen suddenly panicked. Deep down she knew there was a chance to save Mia even from the state she was in. But if she really wasn’t feeling any pain so far and everything hit her at once, there would be nothing that could be done.

“NO! STOP!” Shishen shouted to no avail. Mia’s body suddenly tensed. Her expression went from almost dying to utter pain.

Mia shouted in pain. A Primordial song that anything alive could not just hear but feel. And then a moment later, silence, as her body went limp. Panic befell everyone and Hope left their eyes.

Zignus smiled like never before. He dropped Mia’s body and commanded the bodies to deal with the children. He wasted enough time as it is. They couldn’t be broken more than they already are.
