Once both fighters were in the 'ring' all it took was a nod for their fight to start. Huang took his stance with his spear while Celestial did the same with his one-handed sword.
Celestial quickly used a spell on himself and began to dash around Huang, trying quick stabs or slashes. Huang for his part stood in his position like a statue and just parried the attacks without much difficulty. Once he saw an opening, Huang quickly tried to stab with his weapon, only for his opponent to create as much distance as he could.
This repeated a few times before both fighters got a feel for each other and started to take things more seriously.
Celestial started to throw spells at Huang, more specifically some sort of explosive projectile of the light element that exploded into glass shards. Those would be fatal to most people. Sadly, Huang was not most people. Every time an explosion happened near him, he would coat himself with some mana to guard against the magic shrapnel.
Now that his enemy saw fit to not fight up close, Huang decided that that was exactly what he wanted. He began to dash towards Celestial, who tried to keep the battle at a range but didn't manage to. Contrary to what his appearance would suggest, Huang was not someone who solely used his strength to attack. He had the dexterity and finesse to perform perfect strikes that required minimum effort of his part to do damage if they hit something.
Celestial was starting to have his anger affect his fighting. This man in front of him should have already been dead but for some reason he wasn’t. Celestial knew that he himself was powerful and the fact that Huang was easily surviving what usually is enough to take care of anyone who tries to go after him was getting to him. To make matters worse, he had to actually watch out for attacks. His opponent was focusing solely on his vital points so even a weak attack could do some damage if he didn't take this seriously.

As Huang weaved between the flurry of attacks that Celestial was throwing at him. In a single moment of hesitation from his opponent where it looked like he was beginning to try and change his battle plan, Huang managed to hit the man with a precise stab into his chest. Luckily for Celestial, his armor was strong enough to not let him get impaled, but due to the hit he fell backwards in pain.
Shouting in anger and pain, he used a spell on himself and quickly jumped back up, now glowing very visibly, like he had various fireflies around him. He dashed with incredible speed towards Huang who had to intercept the sword coming his way with his spear to not get cut in the neck.
The battle became a very close range one. Huang couldn't use his spear like he wanted to so the best he could do was parry so slash and hit his opponent with the butt of the spear but it wasn't doing much damage. He himself had various minor cuts around his body. Whatever the Celestial was doing or using, he had the ability to bypass Huang's armor when he put enough power into a slash.
As it looked like the fight was going to be in an eternal stalemate, Celestial began to shine even more brightly and in a single attack he sent Huang flying backwards. As Huang was beginning to accept that he lost, his opponent stopped around 3 meters from him and began to gloat.
“HAHAHA! See! I am the strongest here. Surrender and I will make sure you are not going to be treated too roughly.” Celestial said loud enough for everyone to hear. Huang for his part froze for a moment before he started to laugh uncontrollably.
“...HAHA! My daughter really is a genius to see what I couldn't. I guess it's a good thing I have a master of my own now and don't have to learn from the likes of you.” Huang said as soon as he calmed down a little.
“What do you mean you sorry excuse of a warrior?” Celestial asked, confused.
“You just lost your chance to win this and that means I don't have to hold back anymore. Come my avatar, let's show what a real fight is!” Huang said as his power began to surge.
