Kai made his way towards the part of town where the restaurant his brother had mentioned was located. Before leaving, he made sure to remember the name of the girl, Mei, just to be certain. After a few minutes of walking, he arrived at the small, newly built restaurant. Despite the limitations in materials and knowledge of the people in this world, the place was surprisingly nice and clean, not that Kai knew anything about modern buildings of Mia's old world.
Taking a seat at one of the few tables, Kai eagerly awaited Mei's arrival. As she approached him, he couldn't help but be struck by her beauty. Her hair was a deep shade of black with a hint of red, glistening under the sunlight. Her eyes were a captivating dark blue, and her lips, adorned with a touch of red, caught his attention. Mei stood at around 145 cm tall, creating a significant height difference of approximately 40 cm between her and Kai. If Mia were there, she would have guessed that Mei was of Korean descent.
“What can I do for you sir?” Mei asked professionally.
Putting his best smile, Kai tried to flirt a little. “I was told that there was something nice here, I guess I found it.”.
Mei could just take the compliment But before she could say anything Mia appeared like a ghost. ”Hello brother, hello Mei. When did you two started dating? Also I want two meat buns, those I got the other day.” She said with a smile on her face in constrast to the surprised faces of both Mei and Kai.
“Hello Mia. I will get your buns shortly and also, I am not the girlfriend of your brother...” Mei said but before she could add anything else Mia cut her.
“Why? He is strong, handsome, has a good job, he is 'hung' whatever that is. Why don't you want to be his girlfriend?” Mia asked in a mix of confusion and anger.
Blushing, Mei felt her face grow warm, and Kai attempted to intervene and stop his sister's prying. ”Sister, I just met Miss Mei here, why would I want to be in a relationship with someone I just met? There needs...” Once again Mia cut someone mid sentence to start asking questions.
“Why? Isn't she beautiful? She is also smart, she pretty much runs the restaurant by herself, she also cooks when needed and she smell nice. Why you don't like her brother!?” Asked, with the anger and confusion that was targeted towards Mei now going towards Kai.

Amid the awkward silence that followed, Mia suddenly had an epiphany, though a very misguided one. “Ohhh, now I understand, you still didn't beat her father in a fight, did you brother? Don't worry, our dad said that if you want to make someone their girlfriend you had to beat their dads up. Let me help.” Without hesitation Mia darted towards the kitchen in speeds a 7 year old girl shouldn't be able to reach and returned with a confused Shien, Mei's dad. “Mister Shien, my brother here wants to marry your daughter but since you don't leave the kitchen he can't beat you up and earn your approval so while you two fight I will help in the kitchen. Go get him brother!” Mia explains loud enough for everyone in the restaurant to hear, leaving more than a few confused looks as she darts back to the kitchen.
Shien, a man of the same height as Kai with hair the same color as Mei's but with black eyes, sat down at Kai's table, clearly puzzled. Kai, finding himself in a difficult position, greeted the man and offered a brief explanation of who he was.”Hello sir. My name is Kai, I am a new guard here in the town, you might know my dad, Huang. I hope you and your family could find time to visit our house so we could discuss the relationship between me and your daughter.” Kai said as best as he could. He came here to see a girl and was now arranging a marriage interview. Who could have predicted that.”Also, if you could forgive my little sister, I would appreciate it. Sometimes she has a little too much energy.”
Nodding, Shien began to talk. “...Sure, since my daughter hasn't said anything yet I guess there is no problem. Let me make something special to commemorate the occasion.” A few minutes later, Shien emerged from the kitchen, accompanied by Mia, carrying two plates of noodles containing a flavorful mix of various meats and vegetables.
Mei returned with the two buns Mia had requested and, after handing them to her. Her father also asked her to sit with Kai, encouraging them to talk and enjoy the food. Mia excused herself, leaving behind a confused atmosphere in the restaurant. Kai and Mei found it difficult to look each other in the eye but began eating. To their surprise, the dish turned out to be one of the most delicious things they had ever tasted.
After finishing their meal, Kai began to talk. “I hope to see you soon.” The message was short but powerful, showing that even after everything that just happened, he really wanted this to go somewhere. As he began to leave, Mei stopped Kai and gave him a kiss on the cheek, indicating that she too was looking forward to it. Soon after, back at home with his family minus Mia, Kai recounted the events that unfolded at the restaurant. Choi burst into fits of laughter upon hearing the story, while others remained suspicious, considering the possibility that Mia had orchestrated everything.
Unbeknownst to them, Mia had simply been having a rough day, with her childlike mind momentarily disconnected from her adult soul, resulting in a complete lack of restraint. Her behavior had taken an unexpected turn, causing quite a stir.
