Kai and Choi were currently in the middle of an unusual job. They, along with another guard were tasked with finding and protecting a noble from another country that was visiting Azuria. As for why they found themselves with such an important job? Because no one but Choi was good and crazy enough to be able to follow their target as it tried to lose his escort personal and party and Kai was the only other guard besides their father who could follow Choi around the city as he jumped around. The last guard really just followed when he could and tried to calm the public down when something happened, which more often than not, did.
“Stop following me! Go sleep or something! I don't need guards.” The man in very expensive clothes shouted from atop a house at Choi who was in another one.
“Sir, just doing my job. Now please let's go back to your residence. I had to eat lunch while running and it didn't taste as good as it usually does.” Choi explained as calmly as he could to the man.
“What about me? I could only take a few sips of wine before I had to run away from you idiots. I didn't finish a single bottle today.”
“SIR! You drank at least 3 bottles worth of wine today. Our colleague actually has all the bottles you abandoned if you want.” Kai shouted from below the other two.
“A good drink needs a good atmosphere. I am leaving!” The man said before he began to jump around again. Choi quickly followed him.
“Choi, are you sure we shouldn't just tell him that there are people trying to kill him?” Kai said using his communication stone he received for the job. It was connected to Choi and the other guard.
“Orders from above boys. Keep silent.” The other guard said via the stone.
“How many have you taken care of so far?” Choi asked Kai.
“15, no wait. 16. Can you fucks stop trying?” Kai said as he stabbed a man trying to shoot an arrow at the noble.
“What did this man do that people on this side of the continent are trying to kill him?” Choi asked.
“I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Our dear friend is a fan of wine as you noticed. He is responsible for taking a famous brand of wine off the market because he buys everything for himself.” The guard explained.
“Wait? Am I just killing random drunks that are sober just for this?” Kai asked.
“Oh? No! They are assassins, all of them. Probably from other nobles, trying to get the wine themselves. The good part is that less people are willing to do the job since we are so far from his home. The bad part is that he has a big bounty on his head so there are more than a few people willing to try.”
“Alright he seems to...FUCK! I am jumping again. He is going to the city center again.” Choi said as he began to once again prepare a technique he developed with Mia's help. Choi learned a spell that allowed him to create something similar to spider webs that were also very elastic. He would place those strings on buildings and launch himself like a rock that is shot from a slingshot. As for the landing part, he knew a spell that would allow him to safely drop anywhere, Feather Fall, that stopped his moment without doing any damage to him and made him fall slowly once he activated it.

As for how the man they were chasing after could just move so fast that the group required Choi to shoot himself. He had a lot of magic items that gave him bursts of speed.
Choi quickly managed to find the man who, after taking a sip of another wine, began to run away, once he saw Choi outside the bar. This was a repeat of what was happening all day so it had stopped being funny long ago.
Four hours later in a guard station near the center of the town
“Untie and unhand me you brutes!” The noble shouted as Kai and Choi were currently holding the man who was on their shoulders and tied up in various ropes.
“Boys, why did you capture him?” The third guard of the group asked.
“Sir! Permission to speak freely?” Kai and Choi asked.
“...Sure”
“Fuck you.”
“Yeah, fuck you sir.”
“And fuck you too you stupid noble.”
“You are very lucky we were nearby.”
“Boys, explanation please?” The guard asked.
“Well, this idiot almost got a lot of people killed.”
“Yeah. He didn't believe it when we told him that a lot of people were trying to kill him after you said we could and he almost made a big mistake.” Choi said.
“I did nothing wrong. That drink was pure horse piss and they knew it.” The noble shouted.
“That might be true you idiot. But you didn't need to hit the barman and you didn't need to insult his whole family and you also didn't need to say you were a noble from another country and that you had people to 'deal' with them if necessary.” Kai added.
“But it's your job to deal with them.”
“No! Our job is to protect your idiot ass from assassins, not from our people.” Choi said.
“Ok, so what? You had to deal with a few commoners? I guess you didn't kill anyone but probably had to knock a few people down.”
“If it only was that simple. This idiot ran away as we were trying to defuse the situation and a crowd went after him and guess who he found?” Kai.
“...Your sister?”
“Yes he found our fucking sister in the middle of an errant for the academy and the moment she saw us trying to defend the man from a crowd of people she almost blasted every single one of them herself.” Both Choi and Kai said.
The guard for himself, took the noble, put him on the ground and gave him a good punch in the face.
“YOU FUCKING IDIOT! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT YOU ALMOST DID!?” The guard shouted in between punches.
“Ahhh! She was just a girl, what could she have done?” The noble asked as he was tearing up.
“That girl can blow up half the city if she wants to and the only reason she doesn't is because her family lives here.” The guard said, a little more calm.
“But how would I know!?”
“Not my problem. Someone above me will deal with you. So how did you managed to resolve the situation?” The guard asked the brothers.
“We destroyed the bar.” Choi said.
“Yeah. Used everything we had and blew it away. It stopped Mia long enough that we could explain what was happening. We also killed another assassin that was waiting inside the place for some reason. His body is still there with the guards.” Kai explained.
“Oof! At least it was just one building. That can be easily fixed. Good job. You can take the rest of the day off. I will deal with this.”
“Thanks sir!” Choi said,
“Yes. We appreciate it sir!” Kai said.
Later that day the King himself admonished the noble. The noble, for his part, stayed at his home for his entire visit. He was now afraid not of the assassins after him but the guards who would much rather kill him themselves after hearing about what happened earlier that day.
As for Kai and Choi, they managed to spend some time with their women that day. Something that made them very happy.
