Legend of the Rule bender.
Prologue: before dawn.

Prologue: before dawn.

Thimon Mayor sat on his PC like every other day for the last four years.

He looked at the chat, smiling.

He remembered how it all started, back when he first spent weeks creating a character using his game masters TTrpg website.

He made a lot of characters back then, until he managed to create what became his profile picture and gamer tag, he was the floating goblin. Bane of all programmers, famous for breaking every new game using nothing but the character creation menu.

He often needed multiple playthroughs to find the best builds, thus, it had become common for developers to send him beta versions and sponsor him to break their character creation system.

He uploaded the videos, many watched his lets plays, sometimes spending thousands of hours as he painstakingly mapped out every dialogue option, avoiding any exploit that did not rely on his deeds in the character creator, often preferring fun over actual power.

He closed the most recent game, smiling for the camera.

"Guys, this concludes my playthrough of black lake three, I hope you enjoyed the final fight as much as I did."

He closed his eyes, and as he stopped the stream and uploaded it to Our Cube, he felt an immense weight lift off his shoulders.

And as he went to shutdown his PC, a sudden Video call opened.

"I have a world you might enjoy."

The voice said, childish with a hint of autotune.

"What is it, TrueG0d? You send me ninety nine of your games, and I managed to beat them all. What exactly do you plan for me to beat this time? You promised me something would be changing for this, and while I am sad our collaboration ends, I am curious what it is you consider your magnum opus."

"You see, the world will be harder than anything I did before. There are other creators involved, and you will be something like a champion of mine. I am sure you can beat this, but it should be a decent challenge. Do your best, because I know you are made for this." The twisted voice answered, and as Thimons smile grew, he agreed.

"I will start with that as soon as I wake up, I just pulled three allnighters for the final battle, no way I am diving right back in, so... surprise me, TG."

A week later, people had not seen him anywhere, and he was officially marked as dead.

Noone could have known what really happened.
