The next morning, Jeolas embarked on his mission together with an Inquisitor he wasn't even sure he knew beforehand.
His advisors, who called themselves the council now, were eager to accompany him, though any such ambitions were quickly halted with the argument of their importance to the peoples structure.
Jeolas knew that he was approaching that even again, and with an organisation like this, it would take an eternity to properly prepare them for his eventual departure.
"I am Loui, voted the least obvious among the inquisitors. I am here to support you on the infiltration and reconnaissance mission to the best of my abilities."
The young Larv introduced itself, bowing deeply before his liege.
"Good, we will proceed with the operation then."
The warlock said, movement in the shadow telling Jeolas that the third member of their party has indeed arrived.
Immediately, they headed for the sewer gates, traveling through damp and dark caverns to reach their goals.
"This place right here."
He gestured to a brownish waterfall, the smell so disgusting that the shadow following him almost stopped, before deciding to continue following them inside the river of manure.
They waded through it for half an hour, noone talking as they tried not to arouse any suspicion.
When they saw light again, it was followed by Loui sticking his head up, leaving the hole through a toilet, and entered a room much bigger than any of them.
As they proceeded to look around, they quickly left the bathroom and continued on their way, before they bumped into a towering figure.
A giant of a man, his stare burning into their souls as his hand reached for his spear.
"Hallo, Norman. I hope you have been alright since the last time I lived? I brough that void rogue with me, and an entire army ready to storm or infiltrate the city by tomorrow."
The giant grinned, laughed and both shook hands agressively.
"I thought you went mad back then, leaving me alone. But it seems that death was as you had planned. What race are you anyway, Goron? It isn't really something I have ever heard about..."
The ranger pondered, Jeolas grinning. "I go by Jeolas now, and have kind of started a theocratic movement in the name of killing the gods. You know, things I do. How has the guild gone so far?"
"Well..." the Giant said, shaking his head.
"It somehow worked. I don't know why, but people actually pay me to have others do my job, and so long as I do a job every once in a while to ascend others to my tier, though Natasha does most of the high end quests."
Jeolas furrowed his brows, or at least tried to imitate that gesture with his frills.
"If I may ask, who is Natasha?"
A question that immediately made the guild leader blush.
"Do you remember that mysterious person hooded completely in black? She was a female Vampire, and after a bit of working together for the last year that you were gone, we have grown quite close."
He confessed, his friend grinning as they sat at a table and began to drink together.
"And how has your quest progressed so far?"
He asked, the Larv grinning mischievously.
"I am now an actual system administrator, and I think my next body will be something else entirely. I can cast magic without any assistance and words, and channel the will of those who follow me. So, I guess I have grown a bit stronger."
Jeolas answered, smiling as he added.
"But you should really meet Nemo, he is the Hero of the Void, and already killed me once. "
Then, the figure stepped out of the warlocks shadow, stretching itself and asking.
"Hello there, seeing that my comrade already introduced me. May I know who you are?"
The Giant nodded at that, rolling his shoulders.
"I am Norman, Hero of Nas'ri and probably one of the oldest people you will ever meet. I have existed since the first incursion of those damned gods, and am currently the leader of the adventurer of the adventurer guild. I assume the immortal guy brought you here to take over some part of the organization, in which case you will have to do a bit of adventuring with me, bringing your membership points up and everything. What do you say, are you with us?"
The assassin sighed at that, nodding a little.
"Sure, at least you don't seem like the kind of guy to slaughter villages with some confusing motive."
He announced, the other two sharing a gaze, nodding, and shutting up as they ventured to the room where they would enter the adventurers guild. Loui tried not to understand things, desperate to not be confronted with the heresy the heroes, the most important people of his faith, said about themselves.
