They council had gathered, wearing robes of black.
"Our enemies have been slain, but the people begin to doubt him." The largest among them said, frustration in their voice.
"They think of today as a possible sign of weakness, trusting a stranger like that after going through such lengths to make sure the Heretics sleep in the mud and blood of their brothers."
A rather lanky one agreed.
"We must strengthen their faith, each of us is important for the greater good, and I fear for what might happen if we lose anyone. Even those who remained have less doubts about his magnificence."
The shortest among them criticised.
"If we lose hope, we might as well give up everything. If there are people among us who don't believe, how are we supposed to spread the truth to those less developed than us?"
They all nodded at that.
"A purification is needed to rid their souls of the encroaching darkness, but we can't force our own people to put themselves to the blade. No, we are better than that. It is our sacret duty to purify, and we can't have our own people become impure. Hopefully, his grand design cleanses their minds of any doubt. I am sure he has proper reasons for allowing the maggot who to survive."
One said, a tendril pulling the hood deeper into their face.
"He knows more than anyone shall ever comprehend."
Someone agreed, another sighing.
"All of us must understand his true intentions. When I ask him how we shall deal with problems, his Majesty's plans are the best they could be. You, Priest, are tasked with translating his words and singing his praise. The Inquisitors have been trained to protect our values and members. Philosopher, you must understand how the worlds order interacts with his will. But, and I ask you all for I myself am not arriving at a conclusion. What are the values we are to protect? What are our people? What is his grand design? Mortals will not truly comprehend his greatness, but each of us must understand a part of it."
The others sighed before the heaviest among them stepped forward.
"We have gathered to slay the gods and banish the Miasma from this plane. How is it this difficult to understand?"

He asked, the lanky one answering.
"I know that the Inquisition thinks of purity as the most important of our values, but what will you do when there are no more outsiders? What are the values of this organisation that you swear to protect with your life every day?"
Paladin went quiet at that, pondering these words as the others attempted to find an answer for their values.
"The Prophet always acts for the goodd of everyone, and the completion of a goal. So maybe we should write down his actions and search for the rules that guide him."
The long one stated, the short guy nodding at that and taking a crystal out of his robe.
"I have gained a smidge of his reality warping powers, and thus I will infuse the intent of his actions within these eight facets."
He said, the philosopher immediately answering.
"He never leaves a work unfinished, and thus, everything we do has to come to a fitting end."
The others agreed, and one of the facets began to glow in a golden light.
"Sure, and loyalty seems rather important to him, so we should ask that of every larv."
The critic said, and the next facet glowed a gentle blue.
"We shall never forget our origin, and must drive back the miasma that once corroded our souls. I command to resist the tempation."
The inquisitor said, and everyone else agreed as the next facet began to take on a cyan colour.
"I think I know another one!" The priest said, smiling as he thought of a specific moment.
"He always strives for greatness, and for every one of us to be the best they can. I say we shall never stop striving for greatness."
They proclaimed, a cheer from everyone accompanied the amber coloured facet joined the crystal.
"He wants us to question him, and understand his thoughts, right?" The smallest among them asked, everyone agreeing to the sentiment as a facet turned green.
Palading came with another tenet he thought would fit their actions. "The great one does his best to always leave people a choice, even if it seems like a harsh one. Thus, free will is certainly something he considers necessary."
This one sparked a debate among them, but was given the colour of purple when it joined the Tenets.
"Let's make an exception. Heretics are excempt from the Tenets and must not be treated by them." And although most weren't sure, they all agreed in the end. The Facett turned a crimson red as these words were spoken.
"How about something more positive again?" The small one chimed in, inserting something in the crystal as he spoke.
"Always do what is best for the Sacret order."
And thus, they disbanded, searching for a place to stay as the crystal was hidden inside their frills again.
