2.13 Don't bring your sword to a fistfight.

The fight was on, and both sides were sure of their victory.

The blade champions' next attack was dodged by Goron as he focussed gravity mana linked to him and the area behind him and took a step back, his opponents weapon barely scartching his forehead.

Following this, the warden repeated a move he had seen by an enemy once, grabbing the halbert by the handle and using its momentum to take it from Harald, who was surprised by being disarmed long enough for Goron to get a bit of distance and position himself to attack the other man, a single hit landing before his opponent drew a longsword from an invisible sheath and the halbert dispersed into nothing.

Again, it was armed against unarmed. And this time, there where no tricks for Goron to exploit.

Herman tried more attacks, dashing forward and hacking at his opponent, but goron simply dodged, until he saw the blade master slow down, at which point he immediately began using all his skills. An aura of frost amplified the Blizzard auras effect. As he activated second skin, the three effects seemed to meld and coat him in armour of ice in what he would count as an extremely detailed transformation sequence, an occurance that made the champion he was facing back off, realizing too late what happened.

When he darted forward again to finish the fight with skills of his own, he managed to shatter the cryonic shell, though his attack was halted by it. The splinters flew everywhere, burrying themselves in his skin like frozen shrapnel.

Both stared at one another in surprise, Goron beginning to laugh.

"Now I am magical girl crystal or some type of cyan ranger? Magic is fricken weird, man."

He complained, his opponent nodding.

"Skills that are not our nuique abilities granted by the gods are useless, join me on my path to become the ultimate swordmaster, and while submitting, I will let you clean me."

He offered, a haughty grin spreading on his face as he looked up at his opponent.

Gorong grinned back, a toothy smile that promised nothing short of agony to anyone who would challenge him.

"I guess it's time what my unique technique is, as a servant to the lord of parasites, I will make you mine!"

He screamed, throwing the half of the infested rat he didn't throw earlier at his opponent, who, with a single hit cut the half flying rat into evenly spaced chungs that flew to his side, the blood splattered on his face giving him a creepy ambience as goron began to smile.

"A have become Pestilence, bringer of end times and lord of foulness. Now kneel for me to spare you, else you must succumb to the influence of the rotten gods."

He threatened, using the severed rat tail as a whip tobspank his enemy with, an enemy that was more confused than anything else.

"I will die for my gods honour!"

He screamed, slowly standing up as the sliced innards dripped from his chin.

As Harald finally looked into his opponents eyes once again, he was shocked by the big guys disappointment, the giants right hand landing on his shoulder a second later.

"Target: Harald, Champion of Blade. Honoured city guard and protector of all that is good."

Circles formed behind Goron, the guard shocked as he was pressed to his knees.

"I call upon the forces of Nas'ri and the void, of the system and the sun to judge you. Your verdict is death, and your soul shall be reborn in an age of light, where the gods have been banished back to their realms of chaos and torture."

He proclaimed, the circles spinning and his eyes looking like raging flames as the spell was pushed into the man before him.

And thus, the proud warrior turned to white hot stone, exploding a second later and covering the surroundings in icicles and pebbles.

One of them, the part he assumed to be his opponents heart given the form, Goron picked up as he returned inside. Norman awaiting him at the other side of the tavern, where he silently moved towards.

As he approached his friend he nodded.

"Took care of one of them, I hope he's gonna be alright wherever his soul goes."

He said. And when he saw the questions bubbling within his companion, he smiled.

"The circle was mostly a light show, and although infusing my eyes with fire mana, is pretty painfull, it was absolutely worth it. Back when I died the first time, I realized that my willpower, the stat aswell as the actual thing, are used to resist skills. Thus, when I had to use a self healing skill to negatively affect another, I had to scratch every bit of willpower I had together and nullify his, to make sure it doesn't backfire. He was almost shitting his pants back there, if I hadn't broken his will with that spectacle, he would have resisted me easily."

Goron explained, waiting for any further questions.

"Doesn't the circle forbid lying?"

Norman asked, basing his assumptions on earlier experiences.

"It does mostly, at least with the introduction part. It doesn't restrict a show though, I am almost certain the show effect was the most important to the gods when they made a glowing golden arena."

The warden told his brother, the other shaking his head.

"How much of that was show to decrease his power, and why did you keep his heart?"

The ranger continued his questions, unbelieving of his friends sardistic behaviour.

"Mostly for a crown or necklace to cull the morale of other chosen. There is no way that a heart of stone isn't going to be a magical item of some kind, especially after I had my own arms become weapons. Isn't that right, system?"

He prompted, the beloved purple message appearing shortly after.

Heart of stone: this Item is part of the Fleshmason collection. It consumes the heart and magic of its opponent and strengthens any spells cast with it. The will of those that died to it still shapes the world through its wielder. Be careful to not anger the dead.

"Really, system? You gave me the title of a fleshmason? Just because I made two artifacts of of petrified flesh? I'm not some type of monster, you know?"
