Preview: Power surged in his body. It was unfamiliar. He felt that he awakened something in his body. He tried stretching out his hand and something flowed out. It was made entirely of pure darkness. It was like a piece of mud made of ink. It flowed according to his will and danced around his body. He tried applying it on his spear and! It worked! The orange red flames of the Soleis Spear became tinged with black and became dark red!
The group started moving as they carried with them their prey and food. They moved places in order to not get tracked by Seron and hunted. While doing so, they killed whatever was in their path and ate them. Such a sight scared and thrilled both the elven siblings.
Simnan was scared of the demons. He was reminded of their cruelty and was wary of anything that might happen in a moment, especially since they haven’t formed a contract yet. But Low-Rank Demons don’t know the existence of contracts, thus he did not bother telling them. But such an action now bothered him as he saw them slaughter everything in the way and eat them. It was as if he could see the future of his tribe in them if he didn’t deal with this mess properly. The feeling was similar to stepping on a poop but having no choice to let it be.
Fairheth meanwhile was thrilled. She was an optimistic person who saw things in a different light from Simnan. Perhaps that was why it was them who was sent into this mission and not anyone else. What’s more, she is open-minded and knows that this is what demons should be. So she was thrilled. She was thrilled to know that the helpers they found are so ferocious and even wise among the demons. She thought about the praise of her elders as she silently hummed a song in her head.
“By the way, where did you originally come from? I remember you mentioning the Shadow Hound before but isn’t that a Mid-Rank creature from 4th floor onwards? How could you have met him?”
Fairheth was curious about the origin of the sunflower so she asked her a question. And as always, her intention was getting closer to her. She was someone loved by the forest and isn't afraid of anything plant-related.
Sunirae was walking ahead, although the term walking doesn’t fit because hundreds of her roots move all at once to carry her subordinates and move herself is her mode of transportation, she still turned back to the question and vaguely, it seemed as though she tilted her head.

“You didn’t know? I was originally born in the First Level of Hell. As for the Shadow Hound, I don’t know how but we got chased by him all of a sudden and had to desperately run all over the first Level of Hell. In the end, we got caught and fought him, winning a landslide. It was purely a fluke.”
“A fluke..”
Fairheth didn’t believe it, no, no one believed it. No one would believe that a Low-Rank Demon killing a Mid-Rank Demon could be called a fluke. It could only be a miracle. But of course, no one in the scene mentioned it. Even the demon subordinates were too dumbfounded to speak. They knew their masters were great but to think it was this much.
They were feeling happy that they followed the right master. If they made the wrong decision, then they might not even have the chance to descend in their entire lives.
Pendra looked resentfully at the guy in front who was eating. Yhaele evolved into a Middle stage Level 3 Low-Rank Demon before him. And Yhaele also awakened a dark element magic circuit at the same time, making Pendra very jealous. Pendra became very enthusiastic about hunting as he also wanted to grow stronger.
His razor sharp legs kept buzzing as it spun fiercely and cut his enemies, causing blood to splash all over the place. Even Wild Demons known for their ferocity became meek pups in front of his chainsaw legs as he went on a rampage. Innards and blood kept flying through the air as he tore and ate the Wild Demons from the inside.
“Ahh!! Delicious!!” Pendra exclaimed as he was busy eating an organ of a demon he killed earlier while his busy legs cut through the head and reached the brain of another demon. Yhaele only watched all of this in disappointment as he thought. Why does he even see me as a rival? Sigh. When will he mature..
Yhaele thought so while killing enemies with his spear of trickery. The newly added feature of darkness on the flames didn’t add much damage. But they traveled from the wounds to inside the body of the target, impeding their movements and slowing them down. By devastating their mana circuits from the inside, Yhaele effectively got a debuff basic attack that slows down enemies. It’s especially effective against Wild Demons who rely on their bodies and instincts to fight so he rampaged in the battlefield just like Pendra.
“KUOOOOH!! THE LORDS ARE VERY POWERFUL! FOLLOW THEM!” shouted the subordinate demons at the back as they charged, following their Lords. They wrecked havoc in their path and any wild demons they found were killed brutally and then eaten. Thanks to this, many of them became even stronger and some are already almost at the Middle stage. The three tribe leaders are even on the threshold of reaching the Middle Stage.
What they did not know was that Sunirae was the most jealous of all. She still hasn't been able to open her magic circuit. Although she can absorb mana and use magic, it’s purely her innate ability and thus, she was nervous as she watched Yhaele become able to use a little bit of magic. She was also nervous as Pendra was about to reach it. She wondered if she would be qualified to lead them if she didn’t awaken her magic circuit.
The group continued traveling until they saw a dark and tall spire in the form of a castle on a cliff in the distance. Flames somehow served as their moat and many demons came to and fro in front of the castle gates. This made them realize one thing. After a long trek, they finally arrived in the vicinity of another demon city!
