Preview: But regardless if they were humanoid or not, they couldn’t avoid nor dodge the surprise attack of SPY’s personal troops as blood flowed in the Underworld Forest.
Screams overlapped as corpses fell to the ground like fallen leaves one after another.
The blood that flowed was hurriedly collected by the troops as they marched towards the core of the forest in search of Tikbalangs.
Sunirae was satisfied that half of the progress had been completed, conquest and incubating-wise.
They successfully dominated and wiped out most of the common and weak demons in the forest. And while advancing towards the deeper parts, a snorting sound suddenly came from behind a tree on the left.
“What was that?” Herundira took a glance as he felt something strange was nearby.
“Everyone, prepare yourself for battle and don't die.”
He solemnly gives a warning as the Ketus in his group formed a circle with him as the center. Although their battle formation was primitive, they still managed to invent one effectively.
Neiggh~ A horse-like neigh came from behind the tree trunk as it suddenly cracked and fell to the side.
A horse headed creature charged out from the back of the tree and entered their camp. And soon, more trees were knocked down and sounds of hooves stomping the ground rang out.
“Shit, we’ve been surrounded and ambushed!”
Herundira cursed as he looked at his surroundings with horse-like humanoid demons.
Their upper bodies were packed with strong and explosive muscles. While their bipedal lower bodies had dark gray fur covering it with muscle-filled legs that allows them to charge rapidly in a straight line.
They snorted and lunged at them, cutting off their path of retreat.
“Hmph! Everyone get ready! We, Ketus, shall show them our power!”
Herundira shouted gloriously as he raised his arms and lowered his body in preparation for the upcoming battle.
Around a thousand of the Tikbalangs charged at them and neutralized their huge advantage in numbers. Closing, the Tikbalangs lowered their center of gravity and pulled their muscle-packed arms back.

They punched out with a bang! As their fists collided with the hard and hot scales of Ketus.
“Kekeke, you think you can easily harm us?!” Herundira sneered at his opponent as he used his double tails and swung them at his opponent.
The Tikbalang flew away and crashed on the ground, leaving a line on it.
“Heh, go on everyone! They’re weak!”
A Ketus said as he just managed to knock his opponent back. But soon after, he regretted his words as his enemy stood back up unscathed.
The battlefield went silent as they realized this would be much harder than expected. They started taking the Tikbalangs seriously as they glared at them.
. . .
On the other side, the Magma Golems have also finished taking over the part of the forest they were thrown in. Blood flowed everywhere as crushed and burned corpses of demons were strewn all over the place.
Zenolith looked at the masterpiece of his race and felt satisfied. He was hoping to get praised from his achievements when he came and turned to his tribesmen.
“We’ll go forward from here on out! We’ll seek the Tikbalangs and make them surrender! We’ll bring glory to the Lords!”
His words excited the other Magma Golems as they pounded heavily on their chests. Thumping sounds echoed as their footsteps fell on the solid ground.
Their march was slow and when they were halfway through the journey, Zenolith stopped. He raised his hands and everyone else stopped as well.
“I sense something among us.” His words caused a slight stir before they realized that perhaps, the Tikbalangs are already here.
And sure enough, when his words fell, the trees at the side also crashed and out came their supposed targets.
Neigh~ Their hooves stomped proudly on the ground as they charged right at the Magma Golem. And with their thousands of numbers, they looked like ants fighting for crumbs.
“There are a lot of them! We need reinforcements!”
The first one to speak out was a Magma Golem at the periphery. Because he was attacked first, he noticed the overwhelming numbers of the enemies.
“Its okay! Leave it to me!” Zenolith replied in a reliable tone as he charged alone at the enemy lines.
His body started heating up and the surface of his skin was charged with red. Surely, it was hot to the point that his skin was burning.
But suddenly, the color of his skin quickly became gray like normal rocks or boulders commonly seen in the Underworld.
The Magma Golems watching this were confused. They were the same with Zenolith. They also had blazing red bodies that burned in high temperatures. Any flesh and blood creature they fought would be really pitiful from their powerful and searing blows.
But now, their leader somehow suddenly lost the heat on his body. It was as though he became a normal Golem that human mages who specialize in Earth Magic created.
Their confusion was written all over their blank stone faces as Zenolith continued charging.
“UOOOOOH!!” he shouted a battle cry along with his ferocious charge as he was surrounded by Tikbalangs in the enemy line.
The other Magma Golems could no longer see him and didn’t know what happened. They were filled with curiosity and anxiety for their newly appointed leader that got drowned in the enemy lines.
. . .
“Heh, they sure are having a good time.” He mutters under his breath as he watches the battle take place on the apparatus in his hands. Lights flickered from the screen as the sound of the battle was transmitted directly to his ears.
His face was hidden under the robe as the scenery behind him slowly became visible.
It was a small room with many objects scattered on the ground. There were some that looked like puppets, staves, broken shards of glass, liquid with strange colors and a pet-like creature but half the size of a human.
The darkness did not obstruct his vision as the light from the moon shone inside his tiny dark room and allowed the things hidden in the dark visible.
His other hand holding the apparatus moved and the fingers on it twitched and moved up and down several times.
His movements were strange but seemed skilled. It was as though the person was tapping the keyboard of a computer slowly despite there being none.
