“Sunirae Flairune…” The sunflower repeats this inwardly and feels its emotions fluctuate greatly as if something important to it has been stirred and evoked. This.. is it.. Is it perhaps - my True Name?
The thought strangely took root in her mind and it just wouldn't go away. Memories and information that it originally did not have nor absorbed from prey suddenly appeared in its mind: True Name: Sunirae Flairune!
Every demon - or rather - every living creature with a soul is born with True Names. Some creatures have a better start by being born as a noble bloodline, mythical creature, miracles, and some divinity. But one thing everyone has in common is! Having a True Name!
All creatures are born through the combination of soul and flesh - and the soul is made from the astral world - a mysterious world that is unknown to most. And the most mysterious thing is the True Name that comes with it.
True Names is a symbol of power, source of strength, and sometimes, a medium for curses. Therefore, knowing True Names and not can greatly tip the scales of the battle as it could bring countless variables.
True names also contain information about the being, especially their identity. And the sunflower learned that it's a “She.” It - or rather She still couldn't understand what it meant but accepted it anyway.
Another important purpose of True Name is that it contains more than just the surface information. As it directly comes from the astral world, the information it possessed originated from the source. It also means that no living being could resist having a True Name regardless of the realm they were from.

True Names dictate how far a creature could go. Every True Name has a different meaning that corresponds to stars, concepts, victory, misery etc. If one’s True Name means an early death, then even if the owner is someone who is very talented and powerful, they still would not be able to escape from their True Name’s fate.
True Names are very mysterious. They are connected to Fate. One’s True Name dictates everything and that’s what makes them desirable and feared.
And now, the Sunflower learned of its True Name out of nowhere and became stunned on the spot. As the information boom finished the transfer, Sunirae felt that everything became clearer at this moment. Only when a few leaves fell off and some legs of Pendra fell did it react.
“Hehe… Hehehe.. Pendra, guess what?” I ask the strange many legged creature wrapped around my stem.
“What is it, master?” Pendra reacts curiously as it could sense the joy in its master’s tone of voice. It couldn't help but look around vigilantly as it thought its master found a new type of dish and is planning to hunt it. We just reached the 2nd Level and you’re already thinking of causing trouble? Pendra thought in silent despair.
“Hehe, I have a name now! I shall declare! From this moment forth, I am to called - and known as - Sunirae!” The Sunflower, or rather, Sunirae declares boldly and happily, causing the poor little critter to look around in fear.
“Yes yes, master. It must be deli- OH wait what?!” Pendra first answered casually before a jolt sounded in its head. It finally reacted and was surprised. What did its master eat today to suddenly shout something so strange and random?? Completely caught off guard, it let out its wandering thoughts and shouted it out.
“Haha yes! You didn't hear it wrongly! I have a name now! I am no longer called “Sunflower” by some random demon! I can proudly declare my name wherever I go and establish my fame and gather little demons under me! Wahahaha!” Sunirae seems to see a “bright” future as its imagination goes wild.
Pendra looked at his master who was laughing foolishly and thought. I thought my master was reliable and strong but it turns out only the word strong fits her.. Pendra began worrying about their future in this new strange world they just arrived to while looking at its master in distress.
